Last stop for our Meetup. The Hamlets on the North Fork, Long Island presents big disappoint. Battery operated table Votive candles by remote access is crass in any caliber for a restaurant, which my party of three visibly witness one waitress operate by remote access to "ignite" flames. Further adding to the crass, the wait staff attire presents white sneakers and khaki pants... ICK! Old Mill Inn's Happy Hour consists of oysters $1.00 each 3pm to 5pm can ONLY be consumed at the dark and dingy old school bar, ergo NO alcohol is included for their version of Happy Hour. N.B. Time is of essence for Old Mill Inn's staff, who are real sticklers, adhere to Happy Hour as they do NOT serve oysters outside the time stated. Tapas as appetizers which the full dinner meal is served at 5pm which our party of three were growing weary from hunger with a full day of physical activities of strawberry, raspberry and blueberry picking. We could not wait one hour for the full dinner to be readily served. Thus, my fish and chips at $9.00 was microscopic, unfulfilling without solid substance yet quickly inhaled within mere minutes only for hunger pangs to immediately strike within two hours. Extremely inadequate food. Over priced. Further abject dismay reveals the overprice wine list for local wine from North Fork, Long Island, NY region is priced at $15.00 and $11.00 by the glass while the lowest cost is $7.00 from Australia! Service is attentive in the dinning room despite my party's multiple requests for Tabasco sauce. The Tamales were even microscopic size. I was hoping for sea bass or even a braised Red Snapper as a entree. Old Mill Inn also do NOT serve the full dinner menu before 5pm. Perhaps a lazy staff? Under staff? Religious garb for time restraints? Or pure superstitions preconception? Nevertheless a beautiful view of Mattituck Inlet resonates from their deck for outdoor seating. A great view do NOT serve me justice as Old Mill Inn fails for quality of inadequate food, bad customer service, bad Happy Hour composition, extremely rigged time constraints, and bankrupt overpriced. Old Mill Inn functions double as a seafood restaurant and local inn. Facility is by the bar and is relatively clean with a homelike atmosphere with curtain and blind for their fake window. Eek!! Not worthy for a return as I'll seek another inlet for better seafood without the ridiculous time restraints or how one encompasses what Happy Hour comprises of. Old Mill Inn is transparent as it does not contain any substance.

Best lobster salad. Great view includes 2 very close osprey nests with active families in each. Can't wait to try it for dinner.

Been wanting to dine here for a long time & it did not disappoint. Our waitress was wonderful. To start, we got there lobster fritters & jamesport baked Brie which were both so flavorful and the flavors were perfectly balanced. We shared the duck confit & stuffed summer squash & I am now determined to make that squash at home! Also had butternut beer for the first time and woah. It rivaled my favorite seasonal pumpkin beer! The patio was beautiful and decorated perfectly! I also loved the skeletons that greeted us as we entered!

I used to go to this restaurant when it was the Jamesport Manor Inn and loved it. It's been a…read morewhile since we've been back and decided to try it since it is now Dimon's. We went out for a nice dinner with another couple and our friend has to be sure there are gluten free items on the menu. When I called to check, the woman on the phone, who was so nice and I wish I remembered her name, said that they had gluten free options, and they can also change some of the entrees to be gluten free. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and seated in their very beautiful dining area near the outside patio. It was too hot to eat outside, but at least we got to see the beautiful outside area, which we will definitely check out when the weather is nicer. When we got to our table we met our awesome server Kim, who helped our friend with the menu and gluten free options. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and patient with all of us and our questions. When the drinks and apps came out, they were absolutely delicious. Kim is also an awesome bartender and her drinks were perfect! The apps I would recommend are the scallops, shrimp, fried mozzarella, and the mussels. Yes, we had them all and they were awesome! When our entrees arrived they were not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. Everything we ate here from the apps to our desserts were outstanding! When we were done with dinner, we asked about exploring the upstairs since it looked very interesting and we were curious about it when we first walked in. Kim encouraged us to go explore, even though they were closing, and we were so happy we did. You have to try this place, and also see what is upstairs, you will not be disappointed; it's beautiful, very unique and I also think it may be haunted :-) Thank you to Kim and all the staff for making our night really special, we will be back soon!
