I recently visited this spot and have mixed feelings about the experience. The food was excellent, the ambience was on point, and the drinks were solid--definitely a place I'd return to for the menu alone. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. Our server, Maria, seemed overwhelmed or inattentive. I had to flag her down several times, and at one point, I even walked up to the bar to order my own beer because the wait was just that long. It really took away from the overall experience. Another thing I noticed--if you weren't dressed to impress, you might get overlooked. People in casual attire like jeans or sweats seemed to be told to seat themselves. That kind of vibe isn't welcoming. Just a reminder: never judge a book by its cover--you never know who's walking through your doors. The place has serious potential with great food and drinks, but the service needs a major upgrade. The service is horrible. We came for the Dodger game & they promote the $4.00 beers during the games ( great!). We had to call a server over to our table. We ordered food and drinks. Our server barely came by and the restaurant wasn't even busy. The vibe is cool and played music. When we asked for our bill i was charged $3.50 for more wing sauce! My wings were dry which is why i requested more sauce. Also the waitress could've informed me of the charge. 8/10 this is my second time visiting Ola Restobar, but my first time trying out there brunch . And I must say I am impressed. The food is very flavorful,filling , and fresh . I love how every bite you could still taste the flavor. The presentation is amazing definitely one of their strong points they offer inside and outside seating the bathrooms are clean and I love how it has a little bit of. It's all touch and decoration going on the staff are friendly, very welcoming and on top of things the pricing is reasonable judging on how much food you get. Both times I visited. I had a great experience and also two different experience. I hate to give such a bad review but this is truly my experience. The service was great but the food and drinks were awful. Menu is grossly overpriced. $15 for chips, guac, and chicharron but they excluded the chicharron. $18 for a burger plate, burger was overcooked and dry. It was advertised with thousand island dressing and had none in it. $17 for cocktails are expected, however our drinks were terrible. Sooo this one is a mixed review.. And I'll explain why! The reason I am saying mixed with only two stars is due to my brunch experience I had on Sunday. It smelled like a club if anyone who's what I mean. It's like spilled alcohol drinks and dirty bleach mop water smell. This particular day I came here with my family two kids and bf. We seen that they serve mimosa flights it's close to the house so we went. The brunch vibes I was looking for was not it. The food was not great. No flavor especially for breakfast dishes I was upset. Plot twist! I came here late night for drinks with friends and the vibe was great for a bar with finger food good music. This is why my review is mixed this place in my opinion is only good for a drunk night. The brunch experience was bad. Food was decent, service was okay, but the upcharging was ridiculous. We asked if they had a cucumber jalapeño margarita, waitress said, "Yes, what kind of tequila would you like?" I replied Don Julio Silver. No advisements or questions asked. Bill comes and they up-charged us $7.99 per drink for the cucumber and jalapeño. That is ridiculous and unheard of. At the very least they should have advised us in advance that they'd be up-charging the price of a meal for cucumbers and jalapeño mixer. read more

Good spot for after work drinks and nice deals on the happy hour food and beer combos (around $12-$15, I think from 5-7pm). It starts getting busy after 6pm and there's plenty of street parking before this time. The ambiance was chill with a little pretentious vibe. But fun to watch people socialize and dance, especially after all the drink specials that are offered throughout the night. Typical barfood which works fine for a quick happy hour bite. Ordered the taquitos and beer combo. The taquitos were the frozen kind but were good. The asada fries were just ok. They do have other food options but didn't try so can't comment on those. The bar seemed to have low stock on some of their items and was having issues with the beers on tap. The bar staff were friendly, and although busy, were attentive. On the other hand, the hosting staff seemed rude and a bit dismissive at the patrons waiting for a table or going inside. Inside, noticed a lot of extra staff just standing around chatting and only a few who were actually busy serving and waiting on tables. There are two outdoor heated patios, in the front and the back (which seemed nicer and more chill). The indoor seating has high tables and chairs, which are not great if you're wearing a dress/skirt. There are TV's, low light and loud music... ibelieve it was a DJ playing some 90s/00s and some Spanish tunes. There isn't a dedicated dance floor, but that didn't stop people from shaking it up. OMG.. YAAAAYYSSSS!!!! I'm so sad that I didn't know about this place sooner!! Finally, a place that feels like a club but isn't a club. A place that has club-like music with a DJ and club-like lighting with amazing yummy food & drinks. Hubby and I found this place while on our way to another restaurant. Instead of going to that other restaurant, we walked passed OLA and ended up here instead. What caught our eye was the music and the club-like ambiance we were getting just by walking by. We were sold instantly haha. We sat immediately and were given the menu. They have a lot to choose from and a full bar. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and dinner. While eating and drinking, you'll find yourself dancing and moving in your seat. Not only was the food good, but the overall experience was off the walls! I didn't want to leave haha. Also, this was on a regular Monday evening. It wasn't even on a Friday or a Saturday. Thank OLA for a great night out. I definitely needed that and my hubby and I had a wonderful evening. This place def has a club vibe. My girl and I went out for dinner but this place played club music, had the DJ lights going and it felt like this was their target audience. The server was super friendly, kind, and on top of it (reason why I gave it a 3 star review). The food wasn't anything that stood out, it was ok (not great but not bad either). When I asked about the special they were advertising, picture included, they said that it was only for opening day. The server actually went and asked the manager because she wasn't sure and that's the reply I got. Brunch is LITERAL 9-2 and they do not allow you to order outside of the brunch menu. Servers were very honest on the food and drinks and stated how bad the horchata was, guac as well. The wait here is very short and the greetings are met well. Food is good! Been here a few times and have had a good experience every time. The area out back is a bit sunny but really nice. In front has better shade. Only downside is that you can only get the brunch on Sunday and if you want something from the kitchen you can't until after 2. But all and all a great place read more

This place gets really busy and so I gave it 3 stars because the service can get sloppy. It's probably not the servers fault, but that has been my experience. The food was great, we went once with a part of 7 for brunch and it was just hard to catch the server for condiments or another round of drinks. I would come back for the food if we were going on a day when it's not as busy to see if there's a difference. Everyone at the table did enjoy their food. Came for brunch around 12:30, right before their brunch menu ends at 12:45. Our server showed up at 12:40, we asked if it was still okay to order brunch, and he said he'd check. He disappeared and didn't come back until 1:03 just to ask, "Are you guys ready to order?" We asked again if we could still get brunch, and he said yes, like the whole delay never happened. I ordered a cappuccino that never came. The server vanished for the rest of our meal. We had to ask other staff for literally everything silverware, napkins, and to check on my drink. When the food finally showed up, my French toast was burnt and crunchy like it had been left in a toaster too long. The food itself was mid, the drinks were good, but the service was awful. No communication, no follow up, and no effort. To top it off, they told us we couldn't sit on the back patio, but then another couple who walked in right after us got seated there. And at the end of it all, he had the audacity to ask if we still wanted the cappuccino. Sir, that ship has sailed, just bring the check. Overall, a super disappointing experience read more

Came in on a slow Tuesday. Love this location because there's a big parking structure across the street which makes it easy. We were seated quickly since it wasn't busy. We started with Mexican candy shot flight, very tasty 8/10 would recommend. Unfortunately we were here 2 hours too early because happy hour begins at 3! On their Yelp they have advertised draft beers at $5. That's pretty much what we chose to come here for and we're pretty disappointed when they said that it was old and that it was a photo left from a customer. But it wasn't, it's on their yelp advertised, not a photo like the ones I've posted below. But it fine we stayed and ordered still. The food is great, they have sooo many options it's hard to decide what to get. I went with the crepe and Benedict, seemed like a good combo. 10/10 would get it again. Especially the Chile verde Benedict, so good! The margaritas were also yummy. The fruit in my crepe was fresh and it wasn't overdone with toppings. It was perfect. The place itself is fairly large, lots of tables and they have the bar that you can sit at. They also have outdoor patio seating. The decor and colors, lights are great, it's a fun spot to be at on the weekend for sure. And I love that they have more than two stalls in the restroom so that's especially nice. read more

The menu here is amazing and lengthy, they have soooo many options to pick from. It's also a great location with a fun ambience and the staff is so friendly. My boyfriend and I came here on a whim, we were looking for seafood. This place did the job I can honestly say we will be back. We started with drinks, he got two margarita flights which he loved, they have three different flavors my favorite was the mango margarita. I had the cucumber gin martini it's very strong and has a good taste to it. I also had the old fashioned which as you can tell by my reviews I am a old fashioned connoisseur lol this one is now top of my list! Now for the food we shared the seafood taco trio, my favorite had to to be the two tacos that have coleslaw they are just delicious. We also had the aguachile, this plate has a very nice hint of celery which not everyone uses. It's got a kick to, its spicy but tasty. I also had the ceviche trio my favorite was the mixto. As locals, this used to be one of our go-to spots for drinks, music, and a good atmosphere. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was a huge disappointment and it's clear the place has changed for the worse. We chose to sit outside, as we usually do, and although there was security at the entrance, we were approached by a homeless individual asking for money while we were eating -- something that made us feel very uncomfortable. Drinks came out quickly, which was the only positive. However, once we ordered food, everything went downhill. We ordered guacamole with chips, and the guacamole was so spicy it was barely edible. When we mentioned it to the server, we were told it's "pre-made" -- yet oddly enough, they brought out another guacamole with jalapeños on the side. We also ordered nachos: half with chicken and half vegetarian (with beans and toppings). Instead, the "vegetarian" side was just plain chips -- no beans, no toppings. When we asked about it, the server gave us attitude, saying "half half, it's on the bottom, that's what it is." We checked -- there was nothing there. When we spoke to our actual waiter, he was rude, rolled his eyes, and acted very sassy toward us, making the situation even worse. At that point, we decided to leave. Paying nearly $100 for terrible service, subpar food, and an uncomfortable experience is absolutely unacceptable. Sadly, we won't be returning. read more

I have not been here in a weekend. And I don't recommend this place if you're just looking to have a drink at 3 pm on a weekday. We sat at the bar had a gin and tonic and a beer. I wasn't asked what kind of gin I was just given whatever. I can't tell you if it was good or not because the entire time we were there I could tell smell anything else other than the open gallon cleaner on the bar top directly in front of us. The bartender did not notice until he gave us our check. Additionally the entire time of like (30 minutes at least) there was a mound of dirty glassware stacked on the bar. Decided to come here for brunch after seeing an Instagram post from @olarestobartm My boyfriend and I love trying new food places and luckily we were able to have this experience for half the price. Every Monday, there is a bogo when you order a breakfast skillet. Make sure you get there before 1:30 for last call for breakfast. You'll have 4 options for the bogo. My boyfriend ordered the skillet Chilaquiles and for myself I ordered the chilaquiles verdes con pollo. No complaints about the food everything was tasty. The service was efficient. The music inside the venue was loud considering the time it was during breakfast. We did have the option to sit outside which was nice. Food has lost its quality. Their aguachile use to be my favorite. It's lacking in flavor 100%. Their drinks are also bad. I ordered a mezcal spicy margarita. Not made good at all.
