Chicken parm. Look how dry the chicken is. Tough as leather
    K P.

Service great but chicken parm is the 2nd worst i have ever had. Overcooked so bad it was tough to eat. Come on folks it isnt that hard. I make it all the time at home but this was horrible so horrible and for 25 bucks was robbery. Pasta was fine but its pasta so....the rest at the table said food was good but dont order the chicken parm. No one from my table would take a bite of the parm

Went to Roccos a couple on a weeknight for a for a Dodger game, and was pleasantly surprised by the food. I'd been there before to grab drinks, but this was my first time eating there. We got the shrimp tacos, fried pickles, and buffalo wings. The pickles and wings were both super super solid, and I will definitely be returning for them. The shrimp tacos were OK, but not sure I would order those again. The service was super great and quick, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the bar was pretty full with people watching games and catching up, so had a fun vibe overall![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice small bar that gets very crowded in Pasadena!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Came on a Friday night and it was pretty packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Did not order food but my party ordered shots. It was fast service and we found a seat really fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music they played was really good and it was a vibe!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Guess it's good to come here to hang with friends and grab a drink!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Heard the pizza is good too!! -Marshay D.

I have now been to 3 Rocco's locations - yay me! haha I had a nice time at this Rocco's Tavern in Pasadena while sticking to just drinks and fun with the OCA Homies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We somehow walked in at the perfect time to snag the last round booth of the bar. Prime spot and comfy seating great for a group hang.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It really seemed like more of a sports bar playing all the games and being quite loud inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But we made it work and were able to get some good chatting time in over drinks, as well. I do wish their craft beer menu had some more exciting options, perhaps dipping into some local options. However, I was able to find a couple things on the menu to suit my fancy. Plus can I really complain when my second beer came super sized but priced the same as my first pint. Cheers to somehow landing within their happy hour & the server automatically upgraded us! My happiness was instantly upgraded, as well! Overall, good times were had at Rocco's so what more could I want in a local pub!

Party in Pasadena!! Finally stopped into Rocco's w/ the squad for a post dinner hang, great convo and our table board game via my homegirl Sarah S. We caught the happy hour w/ a round of craft (IPAs and Hard Cider). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a great table, view of both Green Street, where this Rocco's Tavern resides between De Lacey Avenue and Fair Oaks Avenue in Old Town P(asadena.)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's parking in front, but it goes as fast as a home run. Local street parking and garages close by. Most street parking is metered and limited to two hours, so a lot of people opt for garages, rideshare and the local metro. We didn't do food, but a local frequenter and overall incredible human being Miori I., knows all that's good here - from their cool Noon - 7pm happy hour (Monday through Friday), 3pm to 7pm (Saturday and Sunday) to their 10pm to close every day happy hour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restrooms are solid.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Layout is trendy, Rocco's location have a very district modern vintage style with those rustic features, old style booths and tons of sports memorabilia.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a sports bar at its core, so it can get pretty loud in here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Luckily our group knows how to navigate big spaces and events. Was nice to bond before the holidays with this awesome people aka my co-friends/co-workers and we're definitely up to do it again. Security in front was a gentle giant. And we got checked on fairly regularly by a ready to take on the world server. Pours are very generous even outside of happy hour. Rocco's only downside for me is there lack of a solid vegan options. A House Salad is nice and all, but it's 2025... All their locations have the same menu. Some buffalo cauliflower, fries without parmesan (Rocco's Italian Fries) and a plant-based pizza or burger/sandwich... Please and thank you... Before recently I hadn't been to a Rocco's in well over a year maybe even two because of this. It's nice to have some food everyone can have or at least the option. You can Build Your Own pizza w/o cheese. Not sure if they've got anything gluten-free... for my fully gf and celiac friends. But it's a sports bar first so I typically wouldn't expect most to accomodate or be able to, though I would expect a well know local chain to. Would and will absolutely be back for drinks, games and vibes.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]5/5 ambiance. I went on the first Sunday of football and they had multiple games playing and all fans seemed to be represented[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 4/5 food I wa stood they were famous for their pizza. I typically like cheese that's a little more "baked" here it's pretty gooey and the texture was a little congealed. Michelada was great but on the lighter side of spice. 5/5 service again I was there on an extremely busy Sunday and the waiters were still so attentive when it came to food and drinks. Only thing we had to chase and search for was the bill Parking not really giving staying since it's the city. But you do need an app to pay for parking if you don't carry change. The meters don't have card options

Simple food done right. This is the best Rocco's location I've come across. Has a nice shady outdoor patio plus the servers are super kind and knowledgable about the menu. I appreciate a very well-dressed nachos platter and a super crispy mozzarella stick. Great place to chill and watch a game inside. Came during the NBA Finals and it was a nice rowdy crowd. Opt for the Chicken nachos because they're surprisingly well-seasoned!

Came to Rocco's with my wife, son, and 2 of our friends and we really enjoyed it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great location and has a great atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside because we had our son with us and they brought out a high chair for us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] TVs were both inside of the bar and they had about 4 tvs outside. Service was great as our waitress made sure to check us on and brought out the drinks and food quickly. My friends live close so not sure about the parking situation. We had the pizza, boneless wings, and some fries which were all good. If you're in the area, I would recommend checking it out.

Rocco's is very welcoming. Walking down Green street you come across a bar filled with people, sports playing on their tvs and there are no doors. Just walk right in. Its a great place for a pub crawl or to hang out to watch your favorite sports team while having a beer and some food. The service is a bit slow for the handful of times I've been but honestly I am there for the games, atmosphere, and bites. Since majority of times my visits are spent expecting to be there for a couple of hours it doesn't bother me too much. But if you are expecting a quick in and out, be prepared. Parking: metered street parking, paid structures in local area VERDICT: Rinse and repeat

    The White Pie
    Alex K.

Rocco's Tavern is a sports/bar atmosphere, but you would be foolish to look down on the food. It is home to Pasadena's single best pizza, the White Pie. I've tried every single popular non chain pizza location in Pasadena in search of a decent reliable pie and it's ok Pasadena doesn't have that minus the white pie here. The wings are decent if not a bit expensive. They accommodate my Atlanta style request of combined hot sauce and lemon pepper which they don't have to do. Harder to get wing places in SoCal to do that for some reason than you'd think. Service is great and casual, no pressure or rush. Had some stellar service experiences here with a visiting manager (studio city, Bridget). They also have the pandemic style street seating so you can bring your dog. Happy hour is a good deal too, buy 1 get 1. Glad to have this place in my neighborhood.

There's a parking lot dedicated to the big shopping plaza that Yard House is located in. They have a 90 minute free parking with validation. My group and I went around 3:30 and there were a lot of people seated and waiting for seats. Although their restaurant is pretty big, the hostess did mention that they only had 3 waiters working so a lot of sections were closed off. We were seated within 10 minutes of waiting. We browsed the happy hour menu and ordered pretty quickly after sitting down. Our food all came out one by one. It was pretty decent for the price. We ordered 3 appetizers and the total came out to be ~$35. Appetizers: Poke Nachos (7.4/10): There's a good amount of tuna fish layered on top of the nachos. I really liked the wonton chips they use for this dish since it's a lot lighter than a regular tortilla chip. There's three different types of sauce that they drizzle on top for the nachos. There's a good amount of sweetness and spice between all the sauces. I just wish there were more fish and avocados. Chicken Tenders and Fries (7/10): This one is just your average chicken tenders with fries. It came with 5 tenders and a small basket of fries. The dipping sauces included ranch and honey mustard. This wasn't the same honey mustard I was used to and it had a sour taste to it. The chicken was crispy and had good seasoning in the batter. The fries weren't that good. It was soggy and didn't have any crisp to it. Chicken Nachos (6/10): This one was a heavy on the stomach dish. There's two different types of salsa, cheese, beans, and then a scoop of guac and sour cream in the middle. They used a tortilla chip instead of wonton chips for this dish. Everything felt like a mouthful.

It was a great place for some casual, mildly literary drinking on a Thursday night. The bar was in an alley, and I was happy to find free, easy street parking right outside the alley entrance. The alley was well lit enough that it didn't feel sketchy, though if I were inclined to beat someone up, this would probably be a convenient place to do it. The space was slightly below ground, down a flight of stairs from the alley. It felt like an Irish pub/sports bar with a tap list of California beers in addition to Coors Light and Guinness. Service was friendly and reasonably fast. I had a Made West Hazy IPA and a Pizza Port Amber, both of which I've had and enjoyed several times in several places over the years. I also ate some fries that were lying around, probably but not certainly by someone I at least sort of know. They weren't bad. I live kind of far from Pasadena and T. Boyle's isn't a destination bar, but I'd come back for another round or two after Vroman's. It's a comfortable spot with good draft beer, where you can relax and have some conversations.

We had some "could have been better"…read moreexperiences during the awkward period of reopening several years ago, but since then it seems to have mostly hit its stride. Overall, our recent experiences have been solid. It's always great when an "old favorite" still feels like a good value. I miss some of the menu items like the lentil shepherd's pie, but we have very much enjoyed the hearty English breakfast. They also have a good selection of European beers on tap. Service has been friendly, but it is lightly staffed and pretty slow, so it's not a good place if you are in a hurry. They don't keep an eye on the patio, so if you sit out there, it's best to go inside and let them know. They also seem to have more rules than before - but I have to imagine these have come from experience. I don't think this is an ideal place to go with a large group. If it's a quiet night you might be able to pull tables together long-ways, but most tables seem ideal for 2-4. We come with our dog and sit on the patio when it isn't busy. The dog meals are massive (more food than ours eats in a whole day and she weighs 60 lbs). It's a good value, but beware if your dog is on a diet! Overall, my favorite thing is that genuinely feels like a pub, in that you can just come as you are and take your time without being rushed. A good fit for both locals and visitors in Pasadena.

My best experiences have been when I sit at the bar (alone or with friends), drinks only. Even at that, the service has rarely been stellar. Sierra Madre is the exception as far as the service is concerned. Never have had bad service there. The other 2 locations.....meh! The Old Town location is the worst as far as comfort is concerned. Super cramped and claustrophobic. No elbow room whatsoever. The other two locations aren't as tight but still need better spacing. The food here is mediocre at very best. The traditional Fish and Chips equal 3 words.....soggy, Soggy and.....SOGGY!! Crisp isn't even in their vocabulary. Both, Fish and Chips are very under-seasoned and just very disappointing and unappealing. The "Bangers and Mash" are equally disappointing. Are you serious.....deep frying the Brats to "finish them off "? The flavorless Mashed and Gravy really seal this dish as a sucker's bet. And don't get me started on the nasty frozen peas that they serve. The British Curry is the best of the traditional fare and it is barely average. Desperately in need of flavor. I go to the East Pasadena location on New Year's Eve to meet a very large group of motorcyclists for a ride, but after 3 years in a row of very disappointing breakfasts now all I do is meet them there and ride. I mean, have you ever had greasy pancakes?! And the kitchen couldn't cook an egg to order if their lives depended on it! I have to say that they do have a couple tasty Burgers though. Not what most go to an "English Pub" for but pretty much the best stuff on the menu is in burger form. The "English" is a pretty solid burger, well rounded flavors and a big seasoned and juicy patty. The "Irish" is good too. I just don't understand the Swiss Cheese, why not an Irish Cheddar?! The rest their Burgers/Sandwiches seem very uninspired, something you can get in just about every restaurant in America! Do yourself a favor and get the Steak Fries (well done) with your Burger, not the soggy homemade Fries. I went this Sunday 07/05 with some out of town guests to hit up a futbol match. They wanted to watch in a "real pub atmosphere", and had heard of Lucky Baldwins on Big Bang Theory. There was 7 of us and we arrived early enough to get a good table for the match. The place was virtually empty when we got there but filled up quickly. We all ordered our beers, then my buddies unloaded on some appetizers....5 Scotch Eggs, 2 Irish Nachos (with Steak Fries, no Tomato) and 2 Buffalo Cauliflower (1 with no sauce). Everyone Loved the Scotch Eggs, they were grub. The Grain Mustard is such a compliment. The Cauliflower was very good, with a crispy breading and very well seasoned. The Buffalo Sauce added a great kick but the Bleu Cheese Dressing was not up to par.....watery and where was the Bleu Cheese?! Our Irish Nachos were decent but came with Tomatoes (which I cannot eat). I do have to say that they do have a great variety of ale and beers. They are a little pricey though. Go for the beer, stay for the beer, be mindful of what you order!

We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.
