We decided on a table for 4 of us and ordered buckets of beer and seltzers. Very reasonable price compared to other places. I want to say $45. Don't quite remember tbh. We did try some food. Their calamari is a small portion and not all that great. Also had their chicken nachos which were good, would have them again. But their aguachiles really made up for everything else. Though I'm a bit thrown off after receiving the check due to the ridiculous charge for two shrimp tacos. Menu states $4 each for tacos but I was charged $16 and change for two tacos...no sides. Giving them the benefit of the doubt...possibly cabbage and sauce was double the price for each? If I would have known, I would have ordered the plate which costs $17.99. They had a band playing but the music was very specific, more regional than anything. The songs were very similar and just felt very repetitive. Music was a huge miss for me. In order to sit at a table you have to order either a bottle or a minimum of 3 buckets. We wanted to use two tables to ended up ordering 6 buckets of beer. Each container comes with 6 beers. Yay or nay? 1/2 Tried their chicken nachos and asada tacos and thought they were both decent. Meat did not taste fresh and was not very flavorful. A family member had the chicken tortilla soup and they said it was bland. We came in on a Tuesday and it was completely empty. We were told that they have a lot more people coming in on the weekend when they have live music. I get that it is hard to keep a lot of fresh food when you are not expecting many customers but if there is nobody coming on certain days, either close down or limit the menu. I would have been okay with a limited selection, but I am not cool with being served food that is clearly not fresh or cooked to order. Expense 0/1 Prices weren't too bad, but the food was not fresh so ultimately not worth it to me. Location 1/1 Cash/card accepted. Does not have its own parking lot but there are several parking spots located nearby. Staff was very friendly and attentive. GRILL did exceed my expectations, first the care they packaged my food with. Everything as neat, and nothing was missing. The meat in the pozole tasted fresh and was tender, something you usually don't get at other places. And the taste was amazing. I love pozole so im often disappointed. We get there pass the security guards at the hallway to use the restroom and I go in. While I'm doing my business I hear the door open and I try to cover myself as much as I can and I yell out for them to close the door and it took them a while to actually close the door. As a woman I felt violated and I was ready to let it go but I didn't even receive an apology from anyone. On the contrary I go out to the bar and move a trash can so I can sit next to my friend and the security guard starts to yell at me to put it back which I did and even after that he told me to calm down before he "kicks my drunk ass out" I had just got there so I hadn't even got the chance to get a drink yet. I apologized to him and explained that I was upset because one of his coworkers opened the door while I was using the restroom. He didn't care and continued to yell at me to calm down before he kicked me out. I didn't want things to escalate so I left. I tried to call and talk to a manager and asked for the security guards that were working that night but the woman that answered the phone only provided the name of her manager "Brenda". I was highly hurt by this and the fact that no one was willing to help me in this situation. F this place if you are a young girl watch out and be careful going to the restroom. We give 5 stars to Mambo Grill based on their breakfast chilaquiles! We've only gone Saturday or Sunday mornings and it's never crowded (which is a huge bonus for me because I hate hating). The servers we've had are always nice and the wait for the food is usually 10 minutes or less. We love ordering the red and green chilaquiles. The agua de pepino is also so delicious and refreshing! The prices are very reasonable and they also serve free chips and salsa! This is one of our new favorite go-to spots for breakfast! Went here for the first time to celebrate my brother's birthday. Crowd was fun, young, lively. Bar service was quick, drinks were watered down for sure but its the norm now a days. Live group playing Mexican music is good! There's not much room to dance or even move around or make your way to the restroom. It gets crowded in here and there is only 1 stall for women and 1 stall for men so there's a line. Place is 3x over capacity but if you don't mind you'll have a good time here. Oh, my husband has a Mexican ID and the guy at the door told him next time he would not accept it which is very weird for a "Mexican" place. I would love to go back but not sure they will allow us back in. Oh well. Oh and its not much of a "grill" I didn't see not one person eating, this is more of a lounge/bar feel. read more
