Filet Olé and Mussels in Saffron Cream

We luckily found a seat at the bar as it was Friday night and they were already booked when we arrived. The live saxophonist was a nice touch to add to the atmosphere. We enjoyed every dish we ordered. The filet and the halibut were both expertly cooked and all of the sauces were incredibly delicious. The mussels are pictured here, however all you see is the sauce. We pretty much ate them before we took the picture - that's how good they were. Service was impeccable. Make a reservation in advance if you want to guarantee your spot because folks are already aware of what Ole has to offer. This is a great date night and a delicious place to get dinner on your own or with a group.

WOW, what a pleasant surprise to find in Solon! Amazing food, service, and pleasant atmosphere. Alexandra, our waitress, served us really well with great suggestions. The Shrimp al Ajillo and the Lemon Herb Octopus appetizers were off the charts great, followed by the Wild Mushroom and Saffron Risotto, the best I've ever had, ending with the surprise flaming cheese cake! What a great evening, thank you Alexandra and OLE TAPAS!!!

Ole Tapas Bar is a one of a kind experience. The dining room is a modest size and the bar is the star of the dining room. The staff is attentive and personable. I appreciate the waitstaff is careful not to interrupt conversation but available when service is needed. Friday night also included a live saxophone! The craft cocktail and mocktail menus are carefully curated. The Rose Gin (pictured) is light and bright with floral notes. The infused old fashioned is incredibly well-balanced. I appreciate the mocktail menu so you can experience the creativity of the bar without the spirits. From the tapas menu I sampled the beef carpaccio, shrimp, whipped feta, patatas bravas (crispy potatoes) and grilled Spanish cheese. The beef carpaccio was my favorite and quite easily the best I've had outside of Italy. Although I could have ended dinner with the fantastic tapas, it only got better with the mains. The lemon risotto paired perfectly with the mahi mahi. And the lamb chops were seasoned to perfection. Dinner ended with an espresso martini and dessert including three house made options plus a berry cake flown in from New York! I will definitely be back for the house made Biscoff cheesecake and the berry cake.

I read great things about the octopus so I had high hopes. I was quickly disappointed with my first bite. Yes, it is pretty tender but it was extremely slimy, I couldn't eat 1/2 of it.

My husband and I came here with my parents and all shared: - Spiced Chicken Tagine - Wild Mushroom and Saffron Risotto with Cajun Shrimp - Patatas Bravas - Grilled Spanish Cheese - Beef Burak - Arayes Rolls - Crispy Calamari Everything was delicious. My favorite things were the Grilled Spanish Cheese, Arayes Rolls, and the risotto. This is definitely my favorite restaurant and I'm sure we'll be back frequently when visiting my parents.

Biscoff cheesecake, lemon cake...

Beautiful atmosphere, it's a cute date night restaurant. It's small, dimly lit giving it a more intimate feel with music playing in the background. I did attend for a friend's birthday dinner and I can't wait to go back honestly. I ordered the mussels with the saffron sauce, which was my favorite. I ordered the pomegranate fig mocktail and added tequila which was recommended by our waitress and I enjoyed it. However I wasn't happy with the cook on the harissa-spiced wings, they were a little more fatty than I like but the spice on it was great. Desserts were brought to the table but I'm not sure what all of them were being I did not see a dessert menu.

First I'll get to the point. Then I'll tell you of our experience. 1. Food: was excellent Mediterranean cuisine. 2. Service: was adequate, polite and informed... but cold and detached. 3. Ambiance: establishment sits in a strip center in front of a hotel. Small enough to be intimate but big enough to be comfortable with a beautiful bar. It is modern, clean, lots of glass, with sufficient lighting. Recorded music was much too loud and interfered with conversation. Background music should be just that... BACKGROUND MUSIC! However, later in the evening it was replaced by a live Saxophone player who was great. I enjoyed him very much. We love Tapas Dining. The opportunity to try many different plates without stuffing yourself and emptying your bank account is always a pleasure. Greater Cleveland has several such establishments and they are a true joy. I was thrilled when I heard we had another and immediately made reservations. We arrived for our evening and entered the building, initially it was a little bit disorienting. The hostess desk was tucked into the corner to our left and we walked right past it. A short distance into the room a server redirected us and after waiting a moment the hostess appeared from the back of the restaurant. She confirmed our reservation and promptly escorted us to a comfortable table. Shortly thereafter a nice enough young woman greeted us, introduced herself as our server for the evening and took our beverage order. I must say, the menu was interesting and intriguing. I was enticed by several of the offerings and looked forward to experimenting. The menu is separated into two key sections. One is the "Tapas" menu, the other is the "Mains". We started by ordering several selections from the Tapas side. First, the "Lemon Herb Octopus" was excellent. It was very tender without being soft or mushy. The herbs, paprika, and lemon blended perfectly for a light and bright flavor. Second, the "Marinated Olives with Walnuts" was very nice. It provided a great selection of several different olives and the walnuts lent a nice crunch. Lastly, the "Grilled Spanish Cheese" was okay. I really could have passed on that. It was not bad in any way. It was just "invisible". There was no real flavor, no enticement, nothing to draw you back... it was "Meh". I think next time I will replace it with the "Beef Carpaccio". All-in-all it was a good start (except for the music which was now banging in my ears). We moved on to the Mains. I immediately zeroed in on the "Moroccan Spiced Lamb Chops". They were paired with a French bechamel sauce, mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. The chops were meaty, spiced perfectly, grilled perfectly, and just marvelous. The potatoes were nice and creamy and the vegetables were perfectly prepared as to be tender enough without being mushy. My wife ordered the "Pan Seared Halibut with Risotto" which was not available and substituted with "Mahi-Mahi". The substitution was no problem and the Mahi-Mahi was excellent. The Risotto was creamy and flavorful. Everything was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. Our guests ordered the "Lamb Chops" and "Spiced Chicken Tagine" They were both very satisfied and thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We all offer our highest compliments to the kitchen staff. As always, we followed our meal with coffee and dessert. The coffee was very good, but I found it a bit odd that they brewed it one cup at a time, so it took a while to show up. Both couples shared one order each of the "Pot de Crème". It was excellent...chocolaty and light. So, in conclusion, last night was an excellent adventure into the world of Tapas Dining.. "Ole Tapas Bar" performed very nicely. I highly recommend you give them a try and see for yourself.

I enjoyed Olé Tapas Bar with a group on a Saturday evening and had a great experience. I love getting tapas to share! The food was delicious, the ambiance, lighting, and artistic vibe to the space was fantastic. They even had a live saxophone player that evening. The owners were present, welcoming, and kind. Our server, Jay was great and attentive. My water glass was never empty (I am drink a lot of water! The entire team was great! I can't wait to go back.

Beautiful balanced cocktails

I felt well received upon arrival with kind greetings and attention. The restaurant itself is smaller in size but bold with modest decors that fit the space well. The menu is smaller, which I feel allows for attention to details in the kitchen. They only had a few vegetarian options and only salad for vegans. We had cocktails which are a must due to their well balanced flavors and presentation. The salads we had were large and filling. The olive side was good but had a lot of olive pits, both onsite the olives and on the side. The wiped cheese was good. The cheesecake and chocolate mousse was worthy of the wait at the end.

Let's start with Armand--he is absolutely fabulous and has a gift for making every guest feel happy to be at Őle. Nestled in a great ambiance, it's an ideal spot for a date or even a casual after-work drink. The service was attentive, and the food was quite enjoyable--everything was well prepared and satisfying, though nothing stood out as "amazing." The bar, however, is clearly the centerpiece, offering sophisticated craft cocktails and thoughtfully made mocktails that truly shine.

Dessert to die for

New Gem in Solon finally! Amazing food, unbelievable service and atmosphere. Craft drinks to die for. Highly highly recommend this place! We were blown away by impeccable service, delicious shareable tapas. Live music during the week!

Potatoes Bravas

Everything was so tasty. Excellent service and their small plates are actually big. We each ordered 2 items and the potato's Braga's and couldn't finish it all. Will definitely return. My husband had the Octopus and the grilled alloumi salad. He said both were excellent.

Doni F.

We decided to try the tapas bar and restaurant in Solon, craving the flavors of Florida's tapas cuisine. We kicked things off with grilled octopus, but it tasted more like a spoiling decomposing scallop--definitely not fresh. Next, we tried the olive, walnut, and marinated cheese tapas. The cheese was spicy, there were few walnuts, and the olives varied--some were good, but many had pits, and none were the creamy variety I hoped for. The pistachio cheese was the standout, but it was bland and would've benefited from a fruity topping like pomegranate. Though the restaurant claims to fuse Spanish and Turkish cuisines, the mains we ordered--a simple salad and a fig salad--were too basic to mention. Would I recommend it? While the place was clean, the bar was appealing, and the drinks looked fantastic, the service fell short; our waiter forgot to offer dessert, so we left for that. Overall, I'm torn. I'd consider stopping by for drinks, but I wouldn't return for a meal.

The Brisket in cherry gravy is one of my all time favorites, very tender meat with a flavorful (but not overpowering) gravy. The Russian Schnitzel is my fiance's go to, the breading is crisp and tasty, the mushroom sauce is great, and the potatoes are probably the crispiest non- potato chip potatoes I've ever had. The stuffed cabbage is also very tasty and well-seasoned. For how good the entrees are, the appetizers are even better. Seriously, the Europa Pastry (brie, nuts, and berries in a puff pastry) is the best thing I've ever eaten, and we get it every time we go. The beef filled potato pancakes are pillowy and delicious, the chicken blinis are creamy and well seasoned, and the marinated herring is delightfully salty and tender (without being overly "fishy"). There have been numerous times we've just ordered a bunch of appetizers instead of entrees, they're all that good. All the desserts we've tried are excellent (and homemade), but the Napoleon is what we always come back to. Layers of buttery puff pastry with a delicious raspberry syrup (for FOUR DOLLARS!) It's also the only thing light enough to eat after all the other food. There's something at Europa for everyone, and the staff will make you feel right at home. A 10/10 if there ever was one.

Oh, and it is past due for a remodel and update... jus saying I heard this is an old trusted standby but I was not impressed one bit.

The food was overall, very bland. It was expertly prepared, fresh, and beautiful. But the taste was quite boring. Be prepared to eat a second dinner when you get home. Also be prepared to sit at the bar- this place is very tiny. The vibe is nice. Low ceiling, dimly lit, comfortable cozy. The server/ bartender (I'm pretty sure she was running the whole place) Nikki, was phenomenal. So friendly, good drinks. We started with the oysters which were good. The mignonette sauce was a little different, it had lemon zest in it. It was very good! But the give you laughable amount. Like, a splash. Then we had the fig and prosciutto toast. This was the highlight for us. Tasty all the way around, 4 generous servings on the plate. Jam was so good and the prosciutto was warmed up ever so slightly. I had the hangar steak with some unseasoned boiled carrots. The steak was tender and high quality, but I couldn't taste a bit of seasoning. Also served with a tiny crispy potato pancake. Husband had the halibut special. This had some wasabi crust and if you got a bite of the wasabi it was good. The bites that weren't crusted were boring fish. Again, very fresh and prepared well. Black rice and asparagus also boring. I got a hint of lemon on one bite I tried. We also had the Brussels sprouts, which were charred along with the few pork belly pieces. Husband finished with a whiskey crème brûlée which he enjoyed. He did not, however, enjoy his Dark and Stormy. He said it was all booze and no beer or mix. Sadly, we won't be back.

This spot brings a shareable Italian dining experience, meaning large portions that don't compromise on flavor. For me, the true test of an Italian restaurant is its red sauce, and Capriccio's nailed it--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Whether poured over pasta or served alongside hearty entrées, you can taste the quality in every bite. And speaking of pasta, they make theirs fresh, which adds an extra layer of authenticity and texture to every dish! Beyond the incredible food, they offer craft cocktails, which immediately caught my attention because, well, I'm a low-key cocktail snob--the more intricate, the better! Their drinks are thoughtfully prepared, adding a perfect complement to the meal. Now, let's talk about dessert--because their Biscoff cheesecake is TOP TIER. I came to The Last Page with two dear friends to celebrate an occasion. We had a reservation and were seated quickly by the hostess and greeted kindly by our waiter. One of our group has severe allergies to peanut and dairy, and our waiter was very accommodating and produced a tailored menu for her to select from. She ordered the steak frites. My other friend and I split an order of the spicy alla vodka, and the Peruvian chicken. Just as our food had been served, our waiter rushed out because the kitchen had made a mistake: the fries with the steak frites had been cross contaminated with other fried foods containing dairy. Due to the severity of my friend's allergy this is a pretty dangerous issue. Luckily, the waiter caught and corrected it in time. He was so kind and for the rest of the evening took extra care for our table. The restaurant also comped her entire meal, drinks and dessert included. Obviously it would have been best to not have the issue occur, but we were all very impressed with the way our waiter went out of his way to make it right. Once we dug in, the food was fantastic. The pasta was creamy and al dente, though not particularly spicy. The Peruvian chicken, was char grilled and good enough that I'll want to return to have it again. I didn't have room for dessert, but the brûléed banana split is still calling my name. I'll be eager to visit again.
