She even got me a tiramisu for my birthday (: To start the night off we shared a bottle of wine and their bread & oil/vinegar! A great start to dinner and the bread was large and warm!! For appetizer we ordered off the hit side and got the CALAMARETTI DEL MEDITERRANEO - basically some delicious squid with tomatoes, olives, butter basil, & crostini's!!! 10/10!!! For dinner I ordered the STAGIONALE, it's grilled salmon, 2 lobster-stuffed raviolis with a tomato cream! It was perfect!! The salmon was cooked so good and the ravioli was delicious!! There was so much I almost couldn't finish, but had too because it was so delicious!! My father ordered the IPPOGLOSSO, a pan-seared halibut, herb farrotto topped with shiitake mushrooms & toasted almonds!! It was huge! But, of course, it was also delicious and I don't even like mushrooms!!! To top it off, of course the best waitress ever got me a birthday tiramisu!! I've been to Agua de Día once before for happy hour and returned recently, and it continues to impress. The space is impeccably curated--fabulous from the moment you walk in. The building itself is beautiful, and the arched windows above the bar create such an elevated, inviting atmosphere. The service was on point, and the location in the Warehouse District is lovely. I sat at the bar and ordered the calamari as an appetizer--delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully done. The crowd was lively, the energy was great, and I had a wonderful time. The portions are quite dainty so your bill can really add up. However, the service is top notch. I prefer the sister restaurant in terms of flavor for the sauteed calamari appetizer and for the bread. This place used to have the same bread as the sister, but they have since changed it. It's still good (and appreciated that it's served warm), just not as good as the other. I also don't care for the ricotta with fig reduction, but that's also a personal preference. As I eluded, the physical space is cool and welcoming. The service was just ok. A great server anticipates your needs, ours was so-so at that. The last essential category is the food. All of our guests, whether they ordered steak or seafood, mentioned how salty all the dishes were. Unfortunately I had to concur. Overall, I would suggest you give it a try. Acqua di Dea retains the gorgeous atmosphere and high-quality service of its predecessor (our server, Giuseppe, was both attentive and informed about the menu). The food, however, falls short of the aesthetic trappings. During our trip we started with gnudi and caprese salad, then split fusilloni and stagionale (salmon with lobster ravioli). The best course we had was the complimentary bread service. The gnudi were so overly salted we were unable to finish the course; and while the caprese and truffle fusilloni were both totally fine, the clashing flavors of salmon and lobster in the stagionale did not work together at all. Ultimately, there is still plenty of value in a date night at Acqua due to the aforementioned aesthetics and impressive wine list. The food itself, however, leaves much to be desired. read more

We started out with an olive/focaccia bread. The breads were baked well but I didn't care about the flavor. It had this cheesy dip which did not add anything to the bread. This week was restaurant week so we decided to come here for that. We were offered 3-course meal. I got grilled eggplant salad which I thought was refreshing. All the ingredients were fresh and sweet. My boyfriend got escarole salad. He thought it was pretty good. We decided to share a carpaccio. This dish was not part of the restaurant week's deal. The cut of the meats were a bit too thick. However, the meats were high quality so the thickness did not make it hard to chew the meats, as they were very tender. The lemon wedge was very essential to give the dish the acidity it needed. They could make this better by cutting the slices thinner and maybe consider adding capers. Adding capers might not make this Italian style though. For entrees, my boyfriend got iverno which was filet mignon with mushrooms and carrots. He thought it was a bit salty. It seemed like the chef did not mix the salt throughout. Some parts were too salty and some were okay. My frutti di mare was the same way as well, a bit salty. Nevertheless, those dishes were still edible (and even good) though they were too salty. The filet mignon was very tender. The sauce that went with it was interesting. Not sure in a good way or bad way. The frutti di mare was okay. At the end, my boyfriend got a tiramisu and I got a cheesecake. He thought the ratio between the coffee, cream and lady finger cookies were very balanced in the tiramisu. I wished it had more coffee. The cheesecake was pretty good and light. It was tasted a bit coconut to me. I liked the whipped cream they had. Both desserts were not too overly sweet which was a plus. Overall, this place has a lot of potential. They just need to be mindful on how much salt they can add in a dish. read more

Came to Acqua Di Luca for our first wedding anniversary because we hosted our rehearsal dinner here in late 2023. Upon a multiple course meal, we went to pay using a gift certificate gifted to us 10 months prior. Unfortunately, the waiter refused to take our certificate because the owners had parted ways and a rebranding had occurred within the past 6 months. This was news to us as when we made our reservation, we were told they still took gift certificates. Hard to be too upset given our reason for celebration, but very disappointed in the staff's response and lack of understanding, especially for a place of business that had meant something to us. An unexpected high bill later, the staff was not apologetic and did not comp anything off the bill for the miscommunication. read more

We had a dinner reservation for five and service was excellent. They started us off with fresh bread and a tasty oil to dip into. Then we all ordered something different to test out. I got two sides - the veal tortellini in a parmesan cream sauce, and sautéed escarole with beans and sausage. Both were delicious and big portions. For dessert we also got a variety, and I would recommend the cheesecake. It was so light and a wonderful end to our evening. This place is pricey, so be prepared to spend your dough. 10/10, service, decor, menu, and wine selection put Acqua Di Luca my new favorite Luca location. I never thought I would say that, Luca West holds a special place in my dining rotation...as does Superior Viaduct. We stopped for dinner and drinks before the Cavs game on a Monday night. The bar was busy, the holiday crowd was still lingering from the weekend and the game crowd started to fill in the gap. I'm glad we made a reservation beforehand. We were promptly greeted and sat. Drinks were ordered, get a bottle of Malbec, you will love it. The specials were recited, and I am happy to say the tuna tartar with fresh honeycomb was insanely delicious. The tuna was perfect, it melted like butter. Next, we ordered salad and the chopino. The seafood stock paired with fish, clams, shrimp and scallops was divine. Did I mention it wax $12, insane! Next we opted for the asparagus ravioli and scampi special, along with the gnocchi with lobster. Both entrees were perfectly cooked, seasoned and full of fresh flavor. The chef, along with the text of the kitchen are a talented bunch. I may have to add thus location to my rotation in the Luca family. Outstanding concept with depth and flavor. read more

We have been two times recently. My wife and I ate with some friends a month ago. A few nights ago, we went with clients (not my choice) and now I feel I need to review. The last visit just fell flat. First time, we were there for 3 hours. The waitress was amazing. She held it all together. (sorry, I cannot remember her name) The Artichoke app for $14 was just average and small. One Bite each. Two if you were dainty. The scallops were good. The langoustine I would save my money and not do again. We split a wedge salad. It was OK. My Filet was under. It was corrected. They had the sole. They enjoyed it. The de-boning was fun to watch. I don't even remember what my wife had. All in all, it was just mediocre. Not horrible, but not WOW, we have to go again soon! Now, the other night sealed it for me. I will skim over this part. We had the artichokes. Same issue. We had a special halibut Ceviche of sorts. I did not try it. They seemed to enjoy. I had the soup of the day Beef stock with parmesan dumplings. It was too salty and adding the parmesan dumplings put it over. The dumplings were also too dense. Did not eat them. I had the Romana salad. Overdressed and one note. Did not finish. FYI, They never offer fresh pepper or cheese. I had the Fusilloni and wifey had the Verde. Both just OK. Even the bread service is just OK. They seem to want to turn tables. I get it, but when it's not busy, why. The bar area is very noisy compared to the back room. Be sure to ask when being seated. We will try Oliva, but will not return here anytime soon. While we waited for the main dishes to arrive, our server brought out a warm loaf of bread accompanied by a seasoned olive oil that was perfect for dipping. Each of us (me, my wife and daughter) got a main dish plus we also ordered a plate of vegetables to share. The julienned seasonal vegetables sautéed in oil and herbs was a great way to ensure we each got our veggies...plenty to go around. My daughter's lobster knuckles and claws served over sweet potato gnocchi with truffle butter was definitely on the sweeter side, but she loved it. My wife had a fish filet special served with an herby cream sauce and a side of micro-greens. My sole di ripiene di limone plate consisted of filet of sole served over cheese-stuffed crab meat, spinach and a sundried tomato cream sauce; it was definitely the "to die for" dish on the table. Pretty disappointed for a high-end restaurant. We were seated at a wobbly table and had to ask for it to be fixed. Service was slow from the start -- it took a while to get drinks, appetizers, or even anyone to check in. Throughout the entire meal, there was barely any service at all. The wife had the Salmon Ravioli , I went with the Scallop Special over Risotto, which to be honest with you was a Wooooooooo! Choice of the night. Great portion and Scallops were big and delicious. Very mediocre. My girlfriend and I went for my birthday and were disappointed by everything outside of the atmosphere and the wine list. We started with the oysters and sautéed shrimp starters. The oysters were tasteless and the lime cream makes for a bizarre combination - we scrapped it off the last four as it was the equivalent of eating fish with cheese. The shrimp were fine - the accompanying "salad" that came with it was a flaccid, tasteless mess. We had the filet and orecchiette; the filet was well cooked and the orecchiette was fine; neither were worth the price. The best part of the meal, surprisingly, was the mushroom side dish - I would order again. The sommelier was great; otherwise, service was poor - we both felt like we were inconveniencing our server who didn't even realized we sat down.
