Grilled Mentaiko It is quite salty on its own, with a…read moreslightly dry texture and a fine, sandy graininess when you chew it. But once paired with mayo and cucumber, the flavor becomes much more balanced. The creaminess of the mayo and the freshness of the cucumber soften the saltiness, and then the mentaiko slowly breaks apart in your mouth, releasing a rich, briny umami from the tiny fish roe. Mayo, mentaiko, and cucumber are a perfect combination. Beef Tartare The portion is smaller than beef tartare I've had at other Korean restaurants. With chopped scallions added, the overall flavor leans more toward a sharp onion-garlic aroma, and the saltiness slightly overpowers the sweetness. Without pear, it misses that refreshing sweetness and crunch, so the flavor feels a bit too strong. Sizzling Pan Bulgogi The bulgogi reminds me of Japanese gyudon, with a similar sweetness from the onions and sauce. But because it is stir-fried on a sizzling pan, the beef has a light seared aroma around the edges and more wok-like fragrance. It also comes with Korean glass noodles, which soak up the sweet-savory sauce and become slightly sticky and chewy. One bite of beef, one bite of noodles, one bite of rice, and I naturally fell into full "head-down rice-eating" mode. The mushrooms also absorb the meat juices and sauce, keeping the dish from feeling repetitive. Simply Jokbal The "Simply" version just comes without side dishes and rice, but the portion of jokbal is the same. The serving size was honestly surprising, and even three of us couldn't finish it. The jokbal is cut into small chunks, with a high ratio of lean meat. The collagen-rich parts are soft, bouncy, and still hold their shape, giving a texture somewhere between braised pork hock and pig's trotter. The spicy sauce leans more toward the direct heat of Korean chili powder rather than just the sweetness of gochujang, a bit like the spice in tteokbokki. The savory meatiness, chili aroma, and saltiness build up layer by layer. No wonder this is their signature dish. Braised Pork Ribs The seasoning is somewhat similar to the beef tartare, with sweetness from onion and fruit. The rice cakes also soak up the sauce very well. The ribs are not like the small-cut pork ribs commonly seen in Chinese cooking. Each piece has a short bone with a thick layer of meat around it. The meat is firm, fibrous, and chewy, but still deeply flavored from the braising. The more you chew, the more the meatiness comes through. Spicy Seafood Soup The biggest strength of the soup is its strong seafood flavor. The broth is rich in umami without feeling too heavy or sauce-based. The downside is that there is not much seafood: only squid, two shrimp, and a few mussels. The noodles were also average, without much chewiness and not great at absorbing the broth. This dish is more about drinking the soup than eating the toppings.

The tteokboki was creamy and very chewy. The sauce was really good as well. The Jokbal was really tender. It was a bit messy to wrap everything together as there was a lot of water that came with the lettuce. But aside from that, everything blended together really well once put together. Boh Jokbals were really good, but I think i lean slightly towards the spicy Jokbal. It's more consistent with the cuts of meat and the spice added a little kick to it.

What a vibe it is in here!…read more Ambiance in here is great with lots of unique neon signs. I love that there are these big patches of grass like plants that they use to separate each table, giving more privacy to everyone. The drinks here are definitely the highlight, since they're so beautiful and tasty. Can't remember the name of all the drinks, but just know that every single drink that was ordered at the table as so beautiful and so delicious. Really can't go wrong. The only thing that you need to avoid is their shaved ice dessert. It's literally chunks of ice with kellogs cereal. I was thinking it would be more of a bingsu texture but was quite disappointed. It didn't cost much and it's not known for a Korean bar to have this anyway, so just take it a tip not to order this one thing. Everything else was great and can't wait to go back!

I recently visited Feel90 and I was very impressed with the quality and customer service from my late night visit with my friends! Their drink selection ranges from bottles of soju and a select number of specialty cocktails that are inspired from recent trends. The food selection ranges from bar favorites such as skewers and army stew to comfort food classics in Kimchi Fried Rice and bulgogi tacos! Their marinated raw shrimp is also a great dish that pairs well with soju and is best enjoyed with rice! The bulgogi tacos are very refreshing and is a great appetizer to share with friends! The service was very smooth and pleasant as the wait staff were accommodating to my friend's dietary restrictions and our requests. I honestly can't wait for my next visit!

I noticed that the pork and beef belly were thinly sliced rolls. the meat is not as thick as other places. I did like how it came with a few pieces of lettuce and they keep refilling it upon request. Service was a bit slow but i think they were a little busy. Decent place to try!

The tables were a touch small for everything that had to go on them but the staff was great at finding space where there didn't seem to be any. And when we actually ran out of space, they let us use the table next to us and brought out a a folding table to hold some additional dishes. This was the only con - if the restaurant was busier, we would have been crazy cramped given all that gets put out for this meal (Daldongnae is the same though). The food was great. The cuts of meat were delicious. We got marinated short ribs at the end of our meal and the flavor was delicious. The staff was very helpful at addressing all our questions about whether we ordered enough food and which options they'd recommend. They also came by and did some of the cooking to make sure we had the best we could. I really enjoyed this meal and would definitely go back. The staff were great, the price was reasonable, and the food was delicious. You can't ask for much more.

Come here for late night drinks/ snacks!…read more This is often where my friends and I hang out on weekends for cheap drinks and comforting korean bar food. Think soju, beer, tteokbokki, fries and anything else that is fried. The ambiance is that bar vibe you can typically expect at any bar. They have this extension back room that is built with wood, and you feel like you're in some sort of cabin. It's usually always decorated seasonally and feels very homey. Their raw beef with pear dish is a must get. Super fresh, cold and refreshing to the palette. It's sweet and has a nice bite to it since the beef is so cold and previously frozen. Tteokbokki is saucy and spicy and great for sharing. All other fried items are very standard (fries, onion rings etc) but a nice fried item to have on the table to go with your beer/ soju. Come here or the cheap pitchers of beer and a great time with friends! I find myself always coming back here since it's so casual, easy to get larger group tables and service is always there! Check it out!

The grilled meats - pork jowl and pork belly - were really delicious and you could taste the char even though it wasn't cooked right in front of you. I think the pork jowl wins the round if I had to choose a favorite grilled meat for this meal. I did not realize that the pork bone soup was going to be spicy. I was hoping it was the clear pork bone soup but thankfully it wasn't too spicy. Lots of large pork bones with plenty of meat was in the soup. The seafood pancake came out and I did not expect such a huge seafood pancake. I think it could probably feed 5-8 people. Was there anything overtly special about the place? Not really. But everything was cooked well and the server was really nice and attentive the whole time. I think this place would be good if there was a large group because the portions are pretty large.

The servers did seem a little confused at times about which dishes went where, which I think is understandable since we were such a big group. At one point a dish came out that nobody had ordered, but they were really nice about it and just took it back. I ordered the dak galbi and shared it with a friend. The portion was big enough for two and came with rice cakes and veggies. Personally, I thought there were too many onions and veggies and would have preferred more rice cakes and chicken, but overall it was still good. One nice touch was the free appetizers they brought out at the start. We got popcorn, crackers, and marinated tofu, which was a fun surprise and tasty to snack on while waiting for our food. The food was enjoyable, the portions were big, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. A great spot to come with a group of friends.

You go up to the counter and order (no tip), and pick up your order like you would at a food court. The katsu was crispy and the portion was generous. It's not the chubby juicy fancy Japanese kind, but the hammered flat homey kind. The sauce was a little on the sweet side. Still, $11.99 katsu in this economy?! Great deal. Comes with small side servings of rice, salad, and potato wedges. And a lil bottle of yakult. Very retro Korean style. The dining area needs a lil more love and care -- tables could use a quick wipe-down inbetween customers. We had to wipe our tables ourselves before sitting, as there were still crumbs from the previous diners. But at this price point, can't complain. Will prob be back.
