    Baby Octopus spicy soon-tofu $13

Great find and recommendation by my friend Yumi who wrote the previous review! Thumbs up! Definitely deserving of 5 stars! From the ambiance to the friendly attentive service. You can have a crappy day, when you hit this spot, your mood will light up! The menu is designed for small portion korean dishes Izakaya. Amazing for people like me who wants to try everything! As a salmon lover, of course I had to cover my basis and order all the salmon items on the menu. From the ponzu salmon to the miso glazed salmon with asparagus. You wouldn't feel overwhelmed by salmon. The ponzu was sashimi style with a bed of ponzu and topped with some sesame and seaweed flakes. So fresh and delicious! The miso glazed salmon was a nice big piece of salmon, similar to a a la carte dish beautifully cooked with asparagus done just right. Usually, I hate asparagus, but they did it right here. So I enjoyed it! Moving on to the sake clams, fresh and delicious. The baby octopus spicy soon tofu was spicy, but I love it spicy! The baked Pollock roe omelette was nice with the salty pollock in the centre. Well balanced. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends! They open at 8:30pm and grand opening special, $9.99 first bottle of sofu per table and 10% when you pay cash! Definitely worth checking out! A happy vibrant place to dine and spend the evening!

This brand new Korean bar is a total vibe! Love the soju neon light! Our waiter was very friendly from the moment we stepped in. He asked where we wanted to sit. We had options of booths but we opted for the private room. There are four cute private rooms with sliding door. We didn't bother closing the door but other customers chose too. We tried Good Day pineapple soju. No pineapple flavour but taste very similar to the grape flavored soju. Definitely recommend if you like flavoured soju! Sweet and sour pork was recommend by our waiter. I had imagined a red sauce but it came very lemony. Also had a touch of ginger. Crispy! The patbingsoo had a very nice deep toasty/roasty soybean flavour. Most other Korean shaved ice places around don't use injeolmi with this intense flavour. I do wish the ice was more finely milled. From now until July 9th, they have a few promotions that are stackable. First bottle of soju is $9.99. Limit to one per table. Tag them on IG story and write a Google review for 5% off. Pay with cash for 10% off!

Such a nice pocha bar! The atmosphere is laid-back and trendy, with a wide variety of Korean dishes, from classic favorites like bulgogi and bibimbap to more adventurous options like skewers, kimchi tacos and cheese corn. I would highly recommend their highballs and cocktails from their drink menu - i tried the 24k cocktail and it was really good.

The menu is overpriced, both for drinks and food. The service took so long. The staff was friendly but they can definitely do better.

We were lured in through some mail in ads that showcased their daily specials. which are pretty great. When we were there it was $15 for a burger with a side and a pint of beer or $2 less for pop. We each got one of those and ordered a lb of wings to share as well. They serve wings in the original format which is less breaded and the breaded version is bigger and more crispy and maybe caloric. We opted original for the wings and fries. For our burgers, we went for veggie sticks and an upgraded bowl of salad to balance out the meal. I'm just surprised that the greens were super fresh for a bar. I'm so used to crappy old salads from a pubs. Burgers were nice and juicy. Wings are as consistent as I last remembered it. The server even allowed me to customize a sauce blend because it wasn't too busy that night. We even peeked at their drink menu and cocktails are like only $8 something and it's regular price. Overall great experience.

To mind you, I think this location is one of the better St Louis restaurants... (I definitely like it more than the downtown bloor location). It got three stars for the atmosphere and the fact that it's better than the other St. Louis I've been to - it's new and comfortable. The service was ok.

We ordered the oden set with yogurt soju, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, and the salmon fried udon with uni sauce. Everything was super comforting and flavorful, especially the oden on a cold night. What really made it stand out was the bingo game. It got the whole bar involved and made the night feel more interactive and social. We ended up chatting with a group nearby and even taught them a Malaysian yam seng cheers, which turned into a really fun moment. Great spot for a lively night out with good food and energy. Would come back.

But unfortunately, this time we got a bit disappointed. Platter was filled with cheap/frozen fries that I don't event want to put it in my system. Salmon udon looked so sad, and we couldn't finish it. Cocktail was not bad though. I liked their lighting and decorations. The server looks cute but doesn't seem to be knowledgeable when we had questions (and keep forgot our requests..) I support local businesses and hate to say this. But probably I may not come back anymore as now there are many other fusion bar options available in North York. *This is only personal opinion, and your experience might be different. I'm not mad or anything haha. Just being honest about what we had that day hoping this helps other Yelpers to decide where to visit or what to eat spending their precious time and money :)

Both are non-negotiable and always hit. We still like to switch it up sometimes, and this visit we tried a few different dishes: * Kataifi-Wrapped prawn tempura: crunchy, and the wasabi mayo was my favorite part. * Nagasaki Champon with ramen: cozy and comforting. * Grilled Squid with butter: simple and done right * Beef Brisket Yaki Soba: savory and satisfying, with bonito flakes doing their little dance on top. * Karaage: coming from someone who doesn't love greasy food, this one was not greasy at all and still juicy inside. Lowkey missing their grilled beef intestine though Great highball selection as well. We got the peach highball for the one who likes sweet, and the yuzu highball for the one who likes sour. I went with the Snow beer Sapporo, topped with shaved frozen beer. Such a nice way to keep the beer cold without diluting it. Service here has always been amazing, whether they're busy or not, and that's a big reason why I keep coming back.

I imagine the patio must be great in the summer. Yonge Street is close by, but Canadians become immune to carbon monoxide is summer because we throng to any outoor space, and rhe patio is further back than many downtown Toronto patios. The vibe inside is "moneyed gastropub". Glass and wood and UK heritage. The menu is huge, so a bit of a red lag, and more like a chain pub than a gastropub. FIghting off my PTSD from the last time I ordered a non-deep fried fish from a pub, I ordered the salmon with a side of mashed potatoes. The server seemed a bit nervous, so I ran down my mental checklist. Shaved in the morning? Check. Showered? Check. Wearing clothes? Check. However, she was efficient, so no real complaints. The salmon arrived with a surprisingly nice presentation. It didn't smell like fish, so my PTSD subsided. It was a bit bland at the start, but as I got further in, the seasoning on top were quite pleasent. The peppers underneath were from frozen, and the mashed potatoes were from flakes, but it wasn't bad. Prices were at the level of any GTA gastropub. I imiagine this place is really popular with the locals, especially in summer. I can't say it's a destination, though, as there are so many pubs with the same design choices and vibe to choose from, and some have limited menus to focus on what the chef does best. But, if you're stuck at that bus stop and want a beer, I'd recommend it!

Comes with small side servings of rice, salad, and potato wedges. And a lil bottle of yakult. Very retro Korean style. The dining area needs a lil more love and care -- tables could use a quick wipe-down inbetween customers.
