Ehwa is our GO TO spot for Korean bar type food for years. Though they no longer offer their combo meals and have had multiple rebranding/repricing within our economic conditions, their taste and generous portions have not changed and is still a reason why I still come back time after time. They still hold the award for best pork belly rice cakes for me and is the reason why I come back (along with their corn cheese and fries sides - though I miss the other sides they used to offer). Their boneless chicken is quite generous as well! Though it's gotten pricier (so is everywhere else) and is not comparable to what they used to offer, it's still a great spot that we'll always come back to.

Came for drinks and dinner and ordered the spicy BBQ chicken combo which comes with free corn and fries and a bottle of soju. Also got the spicy rice cakes with pork belly. They serve you free sides like popcorn, marinated tofu and macaroni salad as well. The food was pretty good, appropriately spicy and hot. They only had 2 soju flavours when we went and their credit card machine was down but they offered to pay back the ATM fee if you got cash from the rabba across the street. Service is a bit slow but friendly.

This place is a great spot for those looking for some delicious Korean dishes and have drinks with a couple of friends. Their menu is a good assortment of dishes from group combo meals to individual items with additional sides of tofu, fries, popcorn and cheese corn. In addition, they have a decent menu of drink options like different flavours of soju, beer and makgeolli. Spicy Rice Cakes: It's a really large portion so I highly recommend sharing this. It wasn't really that spicy as I found it to be more mild spice compared to other places. It was overall really tasty especially when you add the cheese! Crispy Boneless Soy Sauce Chicken: It was a nice savoury flavour and super delicious. If you're more of a savoury and saucy fried chicken this is a good option. Crispy Boneless Powdered Cheese Chicken: I found the batter to be a bit different than the other fried chicken, a bit more crispier and dry. It's a bit more overwhelming in terms of flavour but it was good nonetheless. I think having a balance of other dishes helps when you're having this. Definitely worth visiting especially if you're looking for a late night spot for casual eats and good music. However, make sure to make reservations as it tends to get really busy during peak hours like Friday/Saturday nights.

Amazing atmosphere especially for a cool summer night. The four chicken platter was a great choice for sharing. Don't forget to get cheese corn! Slower service but expected with such a busy spot. Flag someone down and they'll be able to help!

Friendly staff who work very hard and super nice. Good service, on the slower side if you're on the second floor but that's okay. Like the complimentary sides. Getting the combo deal and share with a friend is the best option imo. Peach soju is my favourite flavour and so happy they have that here! Got the crispy boneless cheese powdered fried chicken which was so worth! They give you so much that we couldn't finish and had to take home, chicken was fresh and tender, and cooked just perfectly and the flavour was on point. Came out so quickly too, fries and corn included in the combo. Overall had a good experience and would recommend.

Visited on a Saturday evening and there were quite a few tables available. We had the Korean Sweet & Spicy Chicken, Yukhoe (korean-style beef tartare), and two types of soju (pineapple cocktail and green grape soju). The price of the drinks was quite steep at $24 each, but they served bar snacks with our food which was nice. We had complimentary popcorn and shrimp chips, as well as fries and cheese corn. I enjoyed the yukhoe and the fresh pear mixed in. The sesame oil gave it a fragrant, umami flavour, though the beef came a little frozen suggesting it is not made from fresh steak. The fried chicken was just okay. My friend thought the popcorn was a little stale. During our stay, we had to flag the server down a few times to get their attention, even though it wasn't very busy. The front door also kept opening which led to a cold draft throughout the restaurant and left me freezing as we were seating at the first table.

Ehwa is definitely an option to consider if you want a night out of drinking with friends. The food portions were generous, for a pretty good price too! Our group tried the 4 combo chicken, bulgogi, spicy tteokbokki and seafood pancake. Everything was decent! The alcohol here is on the pricier side - around $24 for each bottle. Our group was seated on the side so it was hard to get the servers attention, despite it being a time when it wasn't too busy.

We visited this bar for late drinks and loved the experience. They gave a lot of 'on the house' appetizers! We tried hot sake and it was nice. The upper lounge area is more lively than lower floor. The music is loud almost club like, however overall very good ambience.

One of my favourite Korean spots in the city! Got the spicy tteokboki with pork belly, cheese powdered KFC and mango makguli. Everything was so delicious, especially their crunchy and juicy KFC! The only downside was their free sides disappeared, but the fries and cheese corn made up for it. Will recommend to anyone who loves eating and drinking!

Great spot for drinking and simple Korean bar food with friends! This place is always packed and so lively, so it is a great atmosphere. The food is also relatively inexpensive but very tasty! We always get the cheese corn to start, and a korean fried chicken!

I'm just gunna cut right to the chase, try the chicken skewers!! it's $10.99 for 3 giant skewers of chicken and vegetables and the chicken was just amazing! Super moist and flavourful and just overall impressed with the dish. They also had good combo specials where you can get a soju or 4 beers plus an entree item for as low as $30. With that you get a bowl of popcorn, a side dish of corn, a basket of fries, and a random bag of popcorners which was fun, LOL! Makes for a good hangout spot and the patio is really nice on a summer evening! Overall, good music and good vibes and I'll for sure be back!

Delicious Korean style bar in downtown Toronto, just off of Yonge. Prices are pretty average for Korean bars, but what makes this stand out in particular are the amole quantity and variety of free appetizers. There's free popcorn, corn, fries, Mac salad, and white radish with orders of an entree. I love it and will be back soon.

I'm surprised this spot is not reviewed more, perhaps a hidden gem amongst Koreans? This spot is frequented by mostly Asians who are younger working professionals/students. When you enter it's dark pumping with music almost like a club but there's actually a cosy and relaxed patio at the back. I highly recommend to check out the patio! It's a great environment for a date or even a group friends to catch up. Even though people are in their own "cliques", from our experience, they are friendly and sometimes engage in conversation with you (we're not Korean btw). The price is reasonable with a variety of combos, great for sharing - you choose one main dish and it comes with fries and refillable snacks (popcorn, buttery/cheesy corn, tofu, etc) and drinks (4 beers or 1 bottle of soju) to share. All for about $23-$30 depending on the dish you choose. It is enough to feed two people if you're not too hungry/not big eaters. Love the corn!! We got the spicy pork (~$26 with the combo) but the other dishes look good too! There are only like 1 or 2 servers for the whole patio so expect slower service but it's faster if you order more drinks haha. I would check back here again because I like the vibe, which is quite different than the typical bar scene.

Portion was so big that you would be full, and might have to doggy bag. Most importantly, food tasted good. Short ribs stew had many pieces of beef. Squids hot plate was saucy.
