The server recommended getting the DIY rice balls instead of plain white rice to accompany our dishes, and that was a fun and flavorful alternative. However, I do think regular rice would suit the dakdoritang the best. The stir fried pork with kimchi had a nice bul-mat/wok-hei flavor, but it wasn't anything to write home about. One of the standout dishes was the Korean beef tartare, which had such a lovely pepperiness paired with the fragrance of the roasted sesame oil. He was really fair about letting us try things in the entire price range and was never pushy about up-selling us on the more expensive stuff, we chose it entirely on our own. I think it tastes as good as most wines in the $10-$15 range at LCBO, which is what I usually drink. We also have picked up DIY 2L beer kits ($6) from here in the past, which I also highly recommend. So simple, just drop a vial of yeast into the bottle, leave it on your kitchen counter, and in 7-10 days, BEER! We already have our next batch of wine picked out so I can't wait to go get it made.
