Too bad I don't have many pictures. I've been visiting this place quite a few time and finally have a chance to write a review. This is Korean street style pub located near Yonge-Finch (close to Thorn Hill?) area. We visited on Thursday around 6pm for a quick drink, so we ordered only corn cheese, and it came with four sides dishes! (like the picture) That was very satisfying :) Especially I loved the way the server was very friendly and attentive in a very desirable way. She didn't push us or bother us at all. Just let us chill while chatting while always being available when we look for a server. By the time we leave there, it was full and I could see other tables are having big plate/pot menus are if they're there for food. Can't wait to try more food options! (I was tipsy almost every time when I visited there, so can't remember much haha)

Came to snack and drink, we sat outside which had that Asian street vendor vibes lol. Great service, our drinks came quickly, was able to get the waiter's attention when needed. Ordered the cheese corn and green onion fried chicken, can't go wrong with these.

While browsing for a restaurant to dine out with a friend, I came across this restaurant online. They offer indoor and patio seating with a great variety of menu and drink options so we decided to check it out. This is a cute restaurant that feels like the ones you see in kdramas. They offer many dishes that goes well with drinks. Even if you're not a drinker, just go for their food. They have 2 seating areas for small parties on the main floor with an upper level with larger tables. This location is perfect as they're the end unit of a strip of shops with parking spots. Although the lot isn't very big, you can easily park across the street at Centrepoint Mall. Between my friend and I, we ordered the army stew and the spicy cheese chicken. We asked for less spice for both dishes and was perfect! The army stew is the perfect cheat meal for us as there's ingredients we don't usually eat like sausages, luncheon meat and ramen. The spicy cheese chicken was extremely delicious, it looked spicy, but it was a little on the sweeter side than spicy. With the cheese, it was the perfect combination! I will definitely go back to try their other dishes! They're also open until 2:30am which makes them the perfect location for late night eats!

My new favourite korean bar to hang out and drink with friends! I love the aesthetics and atmosphere here - super cute decor and a fun time. I love being here at night when the lights come on!! Looks exactly like the korean bars you'd see in korean dramas LOL I had so many of my friends asking where I went when they saw my IG stories. I've been here twice (a Thursday & Friday) and both times Nangman Pocha got REALLY BUSY after 7 PM. I've tried to call in to book reservations but they only walk-ins... My friends and I were able to grab a table no problem between 6:30 PM - 7 PM though. After that, there was a line-up for tables, and the line was especially long on Friday night. Despite the line-ups, Nangman Pocha doesn't rush your table to leave (I'm pretty sure as long as you keep ordering you'll be ok?), which is nice. Service was really quick and we got everything we ordered within a reasonable amount of time, though when we did ask for napkins they were really stingy and would only give 1-2 at a time for a table of 6 people.. The concept behind their menu is similar to many asian tapa restaurants - mainly for sharing with a group of friends and 'beer food', however Nangman Pocha offers items that I haven't seen anywhere else. They still offer the typical spicy rice cakes, korean pancakes and fried chicken but what stood out to us was the Spicy Snails + noodles. The snails were big and perfectly chewy! Portions were HUGE but they don't put enough snails :( I'd probably ask for extra snails next time because both times I ordered this there were soo much veggies left. Be warned though, my friends who can't handle spice well found this to be way too spicy! We also ordered the spicy rice cakes, kimchi udon, chicken wings and fries and spicy chicken with cheese. All were delicious and savory though the wings were pretty small compared to any other restaurants I've been to. Also they give you sauce options for the wings, which we thought would be mixed with the wings but they gave the sauce on the side? With Covid happening, I didn't see any servers making each customer sanitize their hands or checking temperature when they arrive like other establishments.. but they do enforce the 6 guests max per table rule. I'd suggest bringing your own hand sanitizer just in case and obviously take it upon yourself to wear masks when entering the building to use the washrooms and social distance as much as you can from other tables. Besides that, Nangman Pocha is a great place to catch up with your friends! I can't wait to come back already!!

I came here on a Saturday night at around 6:30pm. The restaurant was quite empty at the time but quickly filled up during our visit. I would recommend making reservations if you are coming later than 7. The menu consisted of mostly shareable food and 'beer food'. We ordered 5 dishes among the 5 of us. My favourite was surprisingly the rice ball. Which was basically seasoned rice with seaweed, mayo, sesame oil and fish roe. Beware if you can't eat spicy food as the Cheese Buldak and Oden Soup were both very spicy. Despite that, we mostly enjoyed everything that we ordered. Overall, we had a pleasant experience here. We loved the interior of the restaurant as well. Definitely a good place to visit with a small group for drinks and decent food.

Spicy cheese chicken

Great atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff. The space is beautiful decorated albeit a bit small- my only complaint is size of the small round tables and seats on the first floor. I get that it's more of a bar than restaurant but because the dishes were very generously sized there was hardly any space on the table to fit all the food never mind the drinks. There is more seating upstairs on actual tables though I've never seen it open the times I've been. We ordered the spicy rice cake, army stew (not pictured), spicy cheese chicken, and squid tentacles. I didn't find it overly spicy but it definitely adds up the more you eat!

You know when you see "pocha" in the name of the restaurant, you're about to have some good Korean bar food. I loved the food here. Army soup in the first picture is my all time favourite Korean dish! I ate 90% of this because my bf is weak...in the second picture is spicy chicken and cheese. Although both look crazy spicy...it actually wasn't. It was perfect for me! The second picture was more sweet spicy than spicy spicy. This is such a good place to catch up with friends and drink! The patio is sooo cute at night too.

Located just right across from Centre Point Mall, Steeles and Yonge. We had the opportunity to taste some genuine Korean food. Yes, for the first time that I didn't order pork bone soup from a Korean restaurant. The food taste delicious. The service is average. The ambience is good. Cost wise is higher than I expected. But with inflation nowadays, $32 for dinner is not too expensive. Worth a try.

Beef tartar & freshwater snails

Such a cute restaurant !!! The restaurant is decorated fully with cherry blossoms across the ceiling!! The food here are tapas style (but big portions)- three of us ordered the army soup, beef tartar & freshwater snails with red pepper sauce. We got full out of the three dishes and they all taste very good!! The price is very decent as well - our bill came to $88 with tips including 2 bottles of soju.. soo.. not even $30 per person :) There is a lot of items on the menu that are not usually in other korean restaurants - like chicken gizzards/ pork hock / beef tripe etc. I would definitely come back and try other items on the menu. Service was great- we literally relied on the staff there to recommend us food - and he sure did a very good job! Definitly will come back again.

This resraurant has a nice patio which is decorated by lots of lights and easy to park. It nice To eat the food in this special time . The seafood pancake is nice, looks good and it is crispy.

love the atmosphere here the place is beautifully decorated with artificial cherry blossom we got the beef tartar and tako wasabi I was surprised that the beef tartar came with korean pear a lot of korean bars take it out because it's hard to find in canada

Lots of Korean bar food options at reasonable prices! They do have both English and Korean menus but would be good to bring a friend who speaks/can read Korean here to explain what some of the dishes are and know what's good to order! I found the food to be tasty but on the greasy side. Nice spot to hang out and drink, I would come back again!

They have a jukebox to add in your songs (long waitlist) and honestly was quite packed on Friday night as well. The server Denis presented us to the dart room where a couple was there. Our group was 5 people so he asked them to just move to the other table so we can take the other two. There were 3 tables in that room. This was perfect because we basically were in a private room, huge plus! We arrived on time for the happy hour and got lots of drinks, no food at all. The shots were pretty watered down or just did not taste 40% vodka at all. Also grabbed two wine bottles outside of the happy hour. Place is quite nice, very fun. Got a free shot, server was so kind as well. A great night indeed. Washroom for women is downstairs and men's washroom was beside the darts room. Would love to come here again for sure.

The food was delicious. I couldn't finish the pasta because I also ate the garlic bread that came with it. So I packed that up to go home. Just keep in mind people this is a pub. It's not a gastro pub where the food is supposed to be michelin star. So adjust your expectations. Having said that I still think the food here is decent. I haven't had any horrible food here. Service: We had a lovely black lady serving us. I didn't catch her name unfortunately. But we have been served by her before. She's perfectly nice & our service from her was great. She took our drink orders first. And then we placed our main dish orders. The food came out relatively quickly as well. We came here for lunch on a Saturday. Ambiance: The furniture has been rearranged a bit. There used to be a sofa at the back near the stairs to the washroom. Now there's a large table there. Other than that it's still the cozy pub vibe. I'm not sure why people have given recent bad review for this place. Hubby & I have been going here on & off for years & not had a bad experience.

Both are non-negotiable and always hit. We still like to switch it up sometimes, and this visit we tried a few different dishes: * Kataifi-Wrapped prawn tempura: crunchy, and the wasabi mayo was my favorite part. * Nagasaki Champon with ramen: cozy and comforting. * Grilled Squid with butter: simple and done right * Beef Brisket Yaki Soba: savory and satisfying, with bonito flakes doing their little dance on top. * Karaage: coming from someone who doesn't love greasy food, this one was not greasy at all and still juicy inside. Lowkey missing their grilled beef intestine though Great highball selection as well. We got the peach highball for the one who likes sweet, and the yuzu highball for the one who likes sour. I went with the Snow beer Sapporo, topped with shaved frozen beer. Such a nice way to keep the beer cold without diluting it. Service here has always been amazing, whether they're busy or not, and that's a big reason why I keep coming back.

Out of the dishes we ordered, my favourite would be: grill pork belly, taro chips, yaki soba, and the fried shrimp prawn. If you want some chewy squid, then you could order the squid. The sauce tasted good but I could imagine cooking it to its perfection is hard, especially when the izakaya was actually pretty full due to the beer happy hour! The other issue would be finding a parking space. Otherwise, I would love to come back again.

We ordered the pork ribs with truffle fries, whole squid and beef tartare and they were all very tasty and delicious. I especially loved the beef tartare, it was reallly good. When a friend suggested we go to Bistro Mujae for dinner, I was so curious about what it would be like. Tucked off a side street in Koreatown, Mujae has the vibe of an upscale tavern--classy wooden paneling, dim lighting, masterfully crafted dishware from Spirit Wares. From the get-go, the service was excellent, with the staff doing everything in their power to seat our unexpected table of 9 promptly. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. The pork ribs were extremely tender with the sweetness of the apple-kiwi marinade coming through nicely. The perilla cream kalguksu was a bit heavy, but it provided a nice rich and creamy balance to the gochujang-heavy dakdoritang. The server recommended getting the DIY rice balls instead of plain white rice to accompany our dishes, and that was a fun and flavorful alternative. However, I do think regular rice would suit the dakdoritang the best. The stir fried pork with kimchi had a nice bul-mat/wok-hei flavor, but it wasn't anything to write home about. One of the standout dishes was the Korean beef tartare, which had such a lovely pepperiness paired with the fragrance of the roasted sesame oil. In terms of general flavor- pretty solid; I'd be happy to go back. As a Korean fusion connoisseur, I do think there are several things they could tighten up flavor wise, particularly around finding dish-internal methods of lifting the earthiness of gochujang. It would also be great to see a few more light/refreshing dishes, especially with the summer coming up. But with such excellent service, I really don't have any complaints. Would definitely recommend for a night out!
