Raw marinated crab
Charles Gary C.

Hand it to the Koreans for pushing the fusion bar scene singlehandley innovating for all us Asians. Came in here on a whim, and man the food I would come back to every weekend if I could. Raw marinated crabs (25$~) perfectly marinated, great texture. Perilla udon 25$~ amazing. Great mouth feel with fried goodness and mushrooms Tartare - pear mixed in, some fried seaweed. Come here and leave happier than ever. Top resto for me this summer.

This is a nice aesthetic spot to impress your date. I tried a couple of their items and it was so good! Here's what we devoured: Yuzu Moscow Mule -- citrusy, gingery, refreshing Yoga Mat -- fruity, raspberry, and a little flirty 우대갈비 (Korean Prime Ribs) -- tender, sweet, and fall-off-the-bone good 가지볶음 (Spicy Stirfried Eggplant) -- bold, not too spicy, and addictive 짬뽕순두부 (Jjamppong with Soft Tofu) -- seafood lovers' dream in a spicy broth with crispy rice 튀긴 냉채보쌈 (Fried Bossam with Salad) -- crispy pork belly was also yummy Server was also pretty nice!

Great place to try out some more unique Korean dishes! Came here a group dinner and service was amazing. Immaculate vibes. Will be happy to return soon!

Pancake accessories on the far left, said pancake, and the kimchi bibimbap.

When the heat wave hits, and you're on Queen West, and nothing catches your eye until you see a sign for a Korean restaurant...well, I think spicy food is a good way to fight the heat, so I headed on in. I was the first one there, so service was quick. Who I am assuming was one of the owners sat me down quickly. He was really friendly! Menu is QR code, which I am not a huge fan of, but what are you gonna do in 2024? I ordered a klmchi blblmbap appetizer and a three way pancake as the main. The appetizer was so good. Spicy, a bit sweet, some saltiness from the nori shreds, and a bit of perfectly cooked rice. (They apparently make their own kimchi, and it is very nice.) The three ways of the pancake are kimchi (50%), potato (25%), AMD seafood (25%). The kimchi was nice and mildly spicy, the potato served as a palate refresher, but the seafood was the star of the show. Creamy texture, whole shrimps and pieces of squid, the soft onions really coming out...yum! It also came with shreds of pickled peppers and a soy chili sauce for wrapping and/or dipping. The decor...if you showed me a photo and said "Hey buddy, guess what kind of cuisine?", I would have said "French?" They say they are going for a modern Korean vibe, and there they succeed . The vibe is also geared to a younger crowd, based on the background music and the average age of the patrons who came in while I was eating. Didn't bother me, but some older people might feel differently. Finally, I get the comments about menu prices and portion sizes, but this place is aiming at elevated dining, and I don't know how much cheaper other finer dining establishments in the area are. All in all, a place I would visit again for a special occasion. It feels like a newer open, so I'm curious what the experience would be like in six months.

Spicy raw marinated crab

I came here for dinner and ordered: - Spicy Raw Marinated Crab ($32) - Potato Pancake ($28) - Strawberry makgeolli ($30) The raw marinated crab does not come with rice, even though the menu says, "It is paired with rice to balance out its salty and spicy taste." I ended up ordering a side of rice, which cost $2.90. The crab itself has a very strong flavor. Since I haven't tried this dish elsewhere, I don't have much to compare it to, but it matched my expectations overall. The rice was quite bad though - it was not fresh and overcooked. The strawberry makgeolli is served in a fairly large pitcher and is quite sweet. The potato pancake was enjoyable. It was crispy without being overly oily, though I felt they used a bit too much mayo. It comes with a vinegar-based dipping sauce, which I really liked. The service was good, and the food arrived quickly. Overall, I'd say this spot is better for bar snacks and drinks rather than a full meal. They have happy hour specials after 9 p.m., and the vibe is nice. However, it's not a traditional Korean restaurant, as it doesn't serve banchan with the dishes. It's also a bit on the expensive side.

New Korean restaurant/bar with a modern interior, it's a nice spot to take photos, the dinnerware was aesthetic too. QR code menu only. We got the grilled pork collar which included spicy salad and gochujang garlic sauce. The portion was very small for the price (32.99 before tax and tip). There were also a lot of pieces of fat, which are inedible. Overall the entire dish was very strong flavours, would be nice if it came with rice, but it didn't. Service was just ok, server was polite. Washrooms downstairs, inaccessible. Probably would not come again due to how expensive it is.

Had a fabulous Summerlicious dinner at Comma for $45 per person. We were first served an iced Korean red vinegar beverage before our meal. We then had (in reverse) coffee chocolate mousse and strawberry shortcake, miso salmon with cold noodles, kalbi with chestnut rice, kimchi and japchae banchans, potato pancakes and sliced beef with the most delicious burrito cheese. Service was also great, we will definitely return to try their regular menu soon!

A fine Korean restaurant located on Queen Street. Loved the cool vibe and music, it's a nice option for date night. Food is great, plating is modern while has the color of Korean food. Potato jeon and Soy marinated crab is a must. Manager was super friendly and helpful during our stay. Highly recommand this place!

Comma was a lovely Korean spot to catch up with friends. I liked the ambience, and the restaurant was constantly busy on a Wednesday evening. We ordered the spicy marinated crab, seafood pancake, cheese tteokbokki, and fries. I think almost every table had gloves on, so the crab was a clear favourite. I personally really liked the pancake as well. Prices were a little elevated, but not surprising for a trendy, downtown spot. Service was pretty slow, much slower than a normal restaurant. Otherwise, we had a pleasant experience.

Yuzo fried pork belly

Interesting spot but left very dissapointed. We were sat down and then forgotten about for atleast 20 mins and the service continuted to be a major distraction for the entire evening. Checking on drinks, flagging down servers not our own, etc... Orederd 3 main dishes for 2 people to share and portion sizes were solid. Jiamppong- Broth had some good heat to it and the noodles were excellent very al dente but overall i thought there could be more depth of falvour achieved in the broth and it was lacking in the seafood department Fried Bissam with yuzu salad- Pork beelly its self was yummy friend very well but tyhere was almost no salad and virtually no yuzo detecable in the dish and it needed a sauce. The spicy thai style dipping sauce on the side lacked head and flavour Bulgogi pancake with Burrata- This was a bit of a head scratched for both of us. When it arrived at the table we actually had to ask for clarification to make sure we had the right dish as there was no pancake. The dish was tasty but this is a completely Italian dish with barrata and the whole dish covered in a hard cheese

Grilled Pork Belly + Beef Joladang

Came for dinner for the first time and we enjoyed our visit! The interior of the restaurant is designed very nicely - I really like the vibes and they had a fun cocktail menu. For food, we started with the Chicken Karaage, then got the Grilled Pork Belly + Beef Joladang as mains. We were happy with our choices. I liked the sauce they put on the Karaage - a little tangy with a kick. Service was good, everything came out quickly and I think the 2 of us were in and out within 45 minutes of our reservation.

Comma is a fairly new Korean spot serving old favourites with a modern twist. The food menu is extremely creative, with the rosé rice cake dish being an interesting hit, and they had plenty of great classics such as kalbi ribs, marinated crab, and spicy fried chicken. All of the dishes were great, though the prices are definitely on the higher side considering the small portions. I really liked the vibe of the place, but the service struggled - particularly with clearing our table and making sure our order was correct and coursed properly. Overall it was a great place to try at least once.

Perilla noodles and tteokbokki
Noodles N.

Perilla oil noodles were to die for, may have went over budget and ordered two of them simply because they were too good. Tteokbokki was extremely spicy but a fun challenge to finish. Cozy upscale atmosphere. A great reminder of how vibrant and beautiful this city is.

Ambiance: Stunning from the moment you walk in. Despite the soaring ceilings and two-level layout, the space still feels intimate thanks to the dim, romantic lighting. Tables line the perimeter and upper level, while small trees with twinkling lights frame the booths, adding a whimsical, almost magical touch. A window displaying the cuts of steak was a fun and enticing detail. Appetizers & Mains: Every bite impressed. The seafood atop each piece of nigiri was incredibly fresh and buttery, literally melting in your mouth. The lobster mashed potatoes were an indulgent and unforgettable accompaniment to the perfectly tender steaks, which were thoughtfully presented tableside before cooking. Dessert: We saved room (and I'm so glad we did!) My cheesecake arrived beautifully plated with a candle and birthday message, while my boyfriend enjoyed the butter cake. Both were absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the meal. Service: Every team member we encountered went above and beyond to make the evening feel special, but a heartfelt shout-out goes to our charming server, Vig. He was attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in ensuring each moment felt intentional and unique. He also shared enticing reasons to return for lunch, happy hour, and weekend brunch (options we had no idea the restaurant offered). Thoughtful Touches: From coat check, a welcome birthday cocktail, a personalized birthday card from the staff, to complimentary bubbly with dessert, every detail was thoughtfully considered.
