Food 8/10 service a no go. Yolanda was rude and had zero personality. Never will I ever.

Best BBQ we had on the Texas BBQ Tour in Ft Worth Out of the 3 places we went, this was my overall favorite. It is Off-The-Chain good The pork baby-back ribs are slow cooked with pecan wood. You don't even need sauce because they are so good The brisket is pretty good The sausage is very tasty The sides are amazing! Homemade Mac N Cheese. I don't really have that much Mac N Cheese much anymore but this was delicious. Beans were delicious...good vibrant flavors The Potato Salad was some of the best I've EVER had

Pretty good BBQ. Not the best I've ever had but certainly good. Read about this place in a magazine so expectations were high. A bright spot in kind of in a run down area, located in a rehabbed Dairy Queen. Locally owned and operated. Super friendly service! Very casual and laid back. I had the ribs and chopped beef. Ribs were excellent. Very smoky flavor and juicy. Chopped beef was very finely chopped, completely saturated in sauce. It was okay, sauce was kind of sweet. The two sauces they have are okay: 1 sweet and one spicy, peppery. If you are in Dallas and feel like taking a side tour, check out off the bone!

Brisket, sausage, ribs, whole chicken cut into half sizes, smoked turkey and bread. Pickles and onions.

Was in town visiting family and decided to try a bbq spot after finding this place on Yelp I decided to order online and I'm glad I did cause when we got there to pickup our order the drive thru line was 15 cars deep!! I was glad we picked this spot cause the food must be good because who waits in a line that long if the food isn't good.. and I was glad we did an online order because they brought out food right out to us in the pickup order parking spot. We ordered so much food and everything was good the sausage, turkey, brisket and whole chicken were all so good. The turkey was my favorite. We also ordered tons of sides Mac & cheese, potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw. We also ordered the peach cobbler. The Mac &cheese and peach cobbler were so good we went back the next day and ordered more the family size kits are perfect. Glad we chose this place I will be coming back

OMG, it has been awhile since my wife and I had eaten at the Woodshed Smokehouse. We were passing…read morethrough the area and decided to get some "Q" and accoutrements (fixings). For the main course, we ordered a rack of pork ribs to share. When they were served, I was quite stunned as to how they looked. One word, MAGICAL! The outer bark was beautiful, the texture perfect. We could not wait to dig into the ribs. And just as amazing, the flavor did not disappoint. The ribs were tender, fall off the bone, packed with smoke flavor and there must be a secret rub put on these prior to smoking them. Now I'm a big griller and have an indirect smoker plumbed into my Weber Summit nat gas grill so I can generate a lot of smoke for many hours for sure. I'm here to tell you, as a griller who is a connoisseur of great smoked and seared steaks, and fabulous "low and slow" baby back ribs which are rubbed and marinated for 48 hours, these Woodshed Smokehouse ribs, were and it's hard for me to say this, actually better than mine. Now that says a lot, end of story, period! If you haven't had these ribs, go for it and share them with your friends or family or someone special. You won't regret it! The sides we ordered were excellent, perfectly cooked with great grilled smoke flavor. Service was superb, very friendly and prompt. And to make this a special occasion, I had asked if I could get a tour of the smokehouse. Well Mr. Bobby the manager came over and personally escorted me through the smokehouse and showed me each of the smokers, types of wood and I can only say, "Well no wonder it tastes so darn good". Mr. Bobby was very kind and generous with his time and Mr. Tim Love's establishment. I of course complimented the Pitmasters (I caught both as it was shift change). Now to add to this review of the Woodshed Smokehouse, they use particular wood for ribs, for brisket, for lamb, etc. I won't give away the trade secret but suffice to say it's like matching a fine wine to particularly food. Each wood imparts a complimentary taste to each type of food. Bottom line, they know what they are doing and do it extremely well. My wife agrees totally and also that the Woodshed Smokehouse may actually smoke ribs a wee bit better than mine!! Great work and compliments to all at the Woodshed Smokehouse. Thanks so very much and a special thanks to Mr. Bobby, very impressive. We will be back to try the lamb, sounds amazing!!

There are plenty of interesting options, making it easy for everyone in the group to find something appealing. We started with the Giant Pretzel and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and both were excellent. The pretzel was warm and flavorful, while the Brussels sprouts were crispy and well-seasoned. These appetizers ended up being some of the highlights of the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the pork ribs. The portion size was just right, leaving me satisfied without feeling overly full. The ribs were enjoyable, but they didn't quite measure up to what you'd find at a dedicated Texas barbecue joint. They were good, just not particularly memorable for a region known for exceptional barbecue. One of the restaurant's biggest strengths is its location. Situated right along the river and close to other shops and attractions, it's a great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The outdoor setting and overall vibe create a fun, lively experience that encourages you to linger a little longer. Overall, The Woodshed Smokehouse is a fun destination with a fantastic location and a unique menu. While the food was solid, the restaurant's atmosphere and setting are what truly stand out. It's worth a visit if you're looking for a casual meal and an enjoyable place to spend an afternoon.

Not exactly the first impression you want from a restaurant. Overall, the service was WAY too fast for a Saturday night. We actually got our entrees before our drinks arrived. And I noticed the kitchen was all women, so leave it to the gals to be extra organized and on top of their game. But seriously, gals... try a little less hard! We'd like to enjoy our drinks before dinner arrives. We split the tomato basil soup (good - a little thick) and the French dip, which was incredibly tender -- basically fall-apart tender. Very tasty and VERY cheesy. My only suggestions would be a sturdier roll (it couldn't quite hold up to all that tender beef) and a little more bite to the horseradish dipping sauce. The happy hour is definitely worth mentioning. Great selection and really good prices if you get there before 6pm. And the bathrooms were actually nice, which always deserves a shout-out in a restaurant review! Overall, some good food and a great happy hour, with a few things that could use tweaking.

They are located on a corner and parking is limited. I found street parking on the side street, about a block down in front of a house. We walked inside Gus's about 11:30 am on a Wednesday. They were busy' but had a number of open tables. There are mostly square and rectangular 4-top tables. We chose one by the front windows. A moment after we sat down, our server, Joe K came by to greet us and he took our drink order. Menu's are at the table, so we studied a bit and were ready for Joe when he brought our drinks. I ordered: - Unsweetened Iced Tea - 3 Piece Dark Chicken Plate (my choice: leg, leg, thigh) with Greens and BBQ Beans My wife ordered: 2 Piece White Chicken Plate (breast, wing) with Mac-Cheese and BBQ Beans The chicken was the star for sure. The BBQ Beans weren't special but were decent. The Greens, decent. With each meal plate, the chicken is served on a slice of white bread. The chicken was fried to a deep brown and was real tasty. My dark meat was juicy and tender. My wife's white meat was drier but normal for white meat. My wife's felt the chicken skin was maybe overcooked as it was tough. It was fine to me. I ate her skin :) We'll be back to Gus's!
