I've been here with my family a few times and it never disappoints. You truly are walking into Browns Backyard BBQ. The food is amazing! My favorite is the Oxtail bowl with garlic mashed potatoes. To celebrate my birthday, I was looking forward to some good BBQ! The Customer Service is FANTASTIC!!! With that said, I was disappointed they were out of hot links, collard greens, so I opted for brisket (very little was left) and green beans, and was asked if I was ok with potatoes and bacon in the green beans, and I replied that it was fine. I was asked twice if I wanted bread or cornbread and replied with cornbread, only to receive white bread. The brisket had a nice smoky flavor; however, it was a little too fatty for me. The greens were good, but a little too salty with the bacon (I didn't realize there would be a lot of bacon in it). :) The Mac-n-Cheese was ok (I liked the spiciness of it). I chose a lemonade that was ok, and for dessert I had Peach Cobbler that was yummy (that could be pre-diabetic voice speaking). LOL Maybe it was the time I arrived, which was about 3:00 pm, or should I call first? Anyway... I'll give it another try in the future. :) read more

When they say backyard barbecue man let me tell you they make you feel like family so welcoming and friendly and then the food. The ribs are fall off the bone I couldn't stop thinking about them. The chicken and brisket has so much flavor and was moist. The side we have loved everything we tried. I didn't take a picture but banana pudding was delicious. The drinks were nice and refreshing. The reviews were very good here so I thought I would give it a try and I'm glad I did. I wanted brisket but I was a little too late, they were already sold out. That showed me that it had to be awesome. I ended up getting the baby back ribs which were really good. I also got 2 sides and they were phenomenal. I get the collard greens and charro beans. It's been over 24 hours since I ate there and I'm still thinking about how good it was. The people there were also great. Very nice & accommodating. If I had any complaints about my visit it would be that there really isn't seating inside to speak of but I can't wait to go back. I want some brisket! I do love me some BBQ and Browns was nearby and I had never been. I had a 2 meet plate with sliced brisket (moist and fatty) and jalapeño cheese sausage and it did not disappoint ($20 !!) ! Big portions and filled the 2 of us that split the plate. The green beans and mac and cheese were also very good. I tried some of the hot sauce his mom makes and was a bit scared at first, but it had a nice burn. Local guy and he's making a good go of it. ? Steady traffic the entire time we were there. I found myself eating bbq twice a week at Brown's. I had to pace myself because it is literally addictive. SHHH, I want some NOW! Their customer service is top notch. I typically arrive before opening to sit and observe. Not only does the owners throw down on the Q, they are productive people who service the community in more ways than just BBQ. It's refreshing to see genuinely good hearted people. Their hours are 12p-6p, but if the food is prepared and ready before opening, they will welcome you in. Why wait on the wait in the goodness of grub? Their food is always hot and fresh. Newcomers can sample the meats and desserts. You'll want everything and the decisions will be hard to make. I'm a two meater...ribs and pork sausage plate. $20 w/two sides, bread or cornbread. Of course, there is a variety of menu items available. But I like what I like. Very nice people but bbq is overrated. Brisket wasn't prime and was tough and overcooked. Jalapeño cheddar sausage was excellent. Sides were average at best. I devoured the sausage but only ate a half piece of the brisket. I can't recommend it if you are looking for an authentic Texas barbecue experience. But if you only want sausage, you will get excellent service so it's not a total loss. read more

Highly recommend Brown's!! They greet you with "welcome, is this your first time?" Then they tell you about all the meats and how they're smoked, the sides, and desserts and let you try whatever you want.
