    Chopped Beef Sandwich
    Allison K.

Longorias is maybe one of the best kept secrets in the Fort Worth area...except they're not really a secret. Anyone who has been there knows they have AMAZING bbq! This visit I learned that not only do they have amazing brisket and chopped beef sandwiches, they have brisket chili! The brisket chili is maybe one of the best things I have ever eaten. I could seriously eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We also had their chocolate cola cake and all I have to say about it is YUM!! Great choices of sides. Super friendly and helpful staff too. They are the complete package here! Can't wait to go again and try their brisket jalapeño poppers!

Brisket sausage is amazing along with a chopped brisket taco and potato salad and mayo slaw was perfect. Very fast kitchen for the short lunch breaks. Peanut butter cake wasn't too sweet and hit the spot.

We've eaten through a lot of the top Texas BBQ places, and Longorias does a few things really well. Service for carry out was excellent. There was a sample involved! Brisket was very good. They gave a mix of fatty and lean. Fatty was amazing. Sausage is a must try. Loved it. It's a coarse sausage made from brisket. Don't miss it. Compared to top Texas places, ribs were not memorable. Sauce is more vinegar based than other DFW restaurants. The to go sides for a small were really small. We will be back for sausage and brisket!

Brisket sausage. Enough said. Went for a late lunch and the owners were sitting in a booth reading the paper and doing their books. Sweet and friendly. Was greeted with all smiles. Ordered the 'holy trinity' or three meat plate with brisket, sausage and ribs accompanied by pintos and potato salad. Came hot and juicy. Brisket sausage was smoky and sliced paper thin just like I like it. Brisket had great flavor and ribs were tender and juicy. Potato salad was mustard/mayo based and had good flavor. Just like g-ma used to make. Pintos got a shower of BBQ sauce and made them a great companion. Bread, pickles and onions got their own plate. Sauce was sweet and savory, no spice and I liked it. Finished off with a piece of pound cake and they gave me about a pound. Dense and moist with that sugary crust it gets. Worth the trip in itself. Highly recommend. Highly.

I came across Longoria's during my many trips to Madea's. It's simple and divey. There are about 3 or 4 tables in there and the booths are small. I got our food to go. I We ordered ribs and brisket. The ribs were tough, but had nice flavor. The brisket was dry, but also nice flavor. The bbq sauce was very watery with a funny taste. We got salad, green beans, potato salad, and slaw. My favorite part of my meal? The salad. For $15 a pound for brisket, I expected better. Maybe just I'm spoiled after eating Lockhart's in the BAD. The left over ribs were pretty good for breakfast though..

The date of this review is 12/9/2014. If you like home made smoked beef jerky and smoked beef brisket sausage, call Longoria's BBQ. Better yet, if you are in the area, go there! In my opinion they have the best. On this occasion, I ordered, by way of e-mail, one pound of their smoked beef jerky and three pounds of the smoked brisket sausage. Jen handled my order very professionally and efficiently. My order arrived three days later and in excellent condition. Jen mentioned to me that they only ship during the cooler months of the year to assure no spoilage during shipping. I have a professional smoker at home and I know how smoked meats should smell and taste. Longoria's smoked meats exceeded my expectations. Longoria's BBQ deserves a solid 5 stars...

Top 50? Nope. This brisket was from last night and was so dry you couldn't eat it. This was embarrassing for a place like this

Ok - So this is supposed to be one of the best in DFW...as a self appointed BBQ snob, I have never been more disappointed. First off, when you ask for fatty brisket and you get a weird look in return, you know it is going to be rough. The brisket - literally abysmal - I'm not joking that it wouldn't pass for bad roast beef. you could tell it was from the night before and honestly for a place like this...that's embarrassing. The spare ribs were just OK...poor rendering, lacked smoke and tasted like it had been sitting under a food warmer. The atmosphere is perfect but the food was gross. YOU CAN DO BETTER!

    This place is good!

First let me say that at first glance Longorias BBQ isn't the prettiest spot in town. What they lack in aesthetics they more than make up for with their beans and brisket sausage...you read that right ...brisket sausage. By far it's the best I've ever had. The irony here is that I didn't like their brisket this trip... it was a little on the dry side. Maybe I'll give it another go next time through. HOWEVER....what really made my two meat plate hop was the beans!! I don't know who they have making those frijoles in the Longoria kitchen but they are GOOD. I'm talking like your abuelita putting a yummy bowl of beans in front of you when you're 7 good... that's really really really good for my gringo friends. I'd go back just to eat a bowl or two! The sausage is great...really good. The bbq sauce...not so good and the vinegar concoction doesn't blend well with the smokey meaty flavor of the meats. I'd prefer something a little sweeter...bit that's just the diabetes in me talking. It may work for you so try it. The pecan pie...oh sweet lort eat it all. The sweet tea...so good. Overall this was well worth the drive. I left full and with 3 dozen tamales for later. (What...I'm Hispanic. ..we always leave with a plate for later. :)) Give Longorias BBQ a go next time you find yourself in the Everman Tx area. Tell them I sent ya! They might look at you a little weird because no one knows who I am really...but we can pretend that their great customer service is a result of my sending y'all there! Ha ha.

I'll lead with the pros: the charming aspects of this place are many! First off, it's located off the side of a back country road, and the owner greeted us with a hello from the porch before we even stepped out of the car. It looks like a country farm house from the outside, and inside it looks like it hasnt changed since the 1950s. On friendliness, this place is five stars. Everyone from the owner to the servers were so sweet! Buuut, 2 out of the 3 meats that I had were mediocre, at most. The one standout of the show was the brisket sausage, which was quite fantastic. It tasted like crumbly, salted brisket, with a flavorful sausage skin. Very tender, juicy, and meaty. The barbeque sauce was a little runny, with an overwhelming tang, so it wasn't my favorite. The owner chatted with us and owned up to how the pigs were not healthy this year, because this year's pigs were underfed...or something. He's right...the ribs were tough and super lean and dry. Not very good. The brisket was definitely on the dry and tasteless side as well. The majority of their bbq was underwhelming. The potato salad and the mayo based coleslaw were above average in tastiness. Being that it's so far out of the way from everything, I'm not sure I would come back just for the brisket sausage. I should've ordered 5 lbs of it to go though!

2 meat plate $14.00 with sausage, beans and mac and cheese.
    Mel M.

They have great customer service and reasonable prices. The establishment was very clean and the portions are close to generous. I got the 2 meat plate $14.00 (ribs & sausage) with beans and mac. If you are a fanatic about mac and cheese please know that theirs come cold. It's like a potato salad version and just tasted ok. I liked the beans and ribs but was disappointed by the sausage. The sausage was over tender. It was like mush as you chewed it and I didn't care to finish it. I'm giving 4/5 and will only return if I'm in the area with limited choices. Over all decent but nothing to rave about.

1/2 lb. of Brisket, 1/2 lb. of Spare Ribs from the long end (customers choice) and 2 links of Beef Sausage.

Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.
