Love this place! One of the better BBQ experience from their extra friendly staff to the amount of food we've got, it's a must visit if you're in DFW. We came from the Stockyards hungry. We got some beers. There's a special where you can get like a rib and beer or something. We got the beef rib, it was running out by 1pm and the bartender saved one for us. We also got the pork ribs, and turkey. Their pork ribs were super meaty and tasty. Their sides were so good! Especially their garlic Mac and cheese. They also just put out a bunch of bread and pickles where you can get as much as you like. The manager came around asking if we were good and he let us each try a burnt end. Which is great bc that's all we needed tbh. It was very good too. We had a really good time here and the staff were just the nicest people. Friendly family and they have a little bar for adults.

Heim was a less than stellar experience. It's a nice location, but the food just isn't that great. Large portions just didn't make up for the food. It fell flat. Slaw was bland, okra was ok, mac'n'cheese was just not good. In addition, I wasn't able to order the slider combo with turkey (the only options are red meat/pork), but you can order the turkey sliders for the kids meal. This means, they can in fact make turkey sliders. But they can't and won't make them for the regular slider meal. Honestly, it's a bit backwards. Maybe another location will taste better, but we all left feeling less than satisfied.

Fantastic BBQ! My favorite in our BBQ tour. Sat at the bar and got some good brews, bartender was new and fun. We got the last beef rib, some turkey, pork ribs, and brisket. Best BBQ! Pork ribs were excellent. Fries, potato salad and Mac n cheese sides were the best. Especially their Mac and cheese. Manager let us try a burnt end, delicious! Must go Best BBQ and vibe All you can eat bread!

This was my bday dinner ;) I was so excited to check it out .. my oldest daughter went to school with one of the sons .. anyway it was decorated so nice for Christmas and the food .. can we talk about the food .. quote ... my hubby said this is the BEST pinto beans he had ever had .. and honestly , we shared a plate and still had a little to take home .. they were out of Jalapeño sausage and my hubby was hoping for that, just means we have to go back I also want to try the onion rings - but the mac and cheese was the bomb, the brisket and the burned ends were delicious! I couldn't resist to have a frozen Jack and coke ( so yummy ) and everyone they worked there was so helpful and kind .. we will be back ;) go now you will be happy --- MK

I literally got done having lunch at another place...then went here afterwards (just) to try it. I can tell you...this place is an excellent one. - Rib: great bark and a great taste. You couldn't have cooks that rib to an any better doneness. - bacon burnt ends: Now, these might not be for anybody...as they are super rich and fatty. But these were another winning dish. Great bark. Great seasoning but with a touch of candied sweetness. And again...a cook level that had these being rendered...but not all chewy and dried out. Now, I didn't have the brisket....but I saw it on about every table. I don't have to try that one..to know that brisket would be awesome. Cut thick...can see the moisture in the meat....and a great bark on the brisket. Heim has it going on and can't wait to go back for a full meal!

Heim BBQ is the food I'm going to miss when I go back home to California, and the same goes for you! The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and their prices are great for the quality of food you get! My Dad and I got their $10 meat sampler (M-F Heim Time), with onion rings. The onion rings were crispy consistently in a beer batter fry, and the star of the show.. the platter! The brisket, burnt bacon ends, and ribs just FALL apart! Butter knives are offered to cut your food... that is how confident they are in their food! The house bbq sauce is the perfect amount of sweet with a slow creeping heat! I will absolutely be coming back next time I'm in town to visit family!

What an amazing place! The food was so good and it reminded me of why I miss Texas barbecue. The ribs and sausage that I had were excellent and cooked to perfection. The workers are super friendly, and I love the bartender and how efficient she was. I really need to get back to Fort Worth more often so I can eat your time and time again.

So, wow, been a long time. Left first review when the trailer was still going. Opened several locations, then a couple years ago Heim stepped away and the business partner/investor took over. Over the years, the BBQ stayed pretty consistent, but when he left is when things went different. The few times I've been in to get things still okay, but not what it used to be, which is a hard thing to keep consistent with multiple locations. (but, Terry Blacks doesn't seem to have that problem? Huh, I dunno) Anyway, hadn't had a Heim burger and fries since he left, so went in to grab one the other day. First thing I noticed, no more fresh cut, some of the best damn fries in town, anymore. Replaced by frozen. I started eating the burger, then noticed taste, then looked, then ate around the edges, because as you can see in the pics, at least 90% or more of the patty was RAW. I honestly couldn't believe it. At that point I was put off, and I didn't even care about getting another one. I ate the fries, which weren't terrible for frozen but nothing like the good ole days. I dropped the tray at the counter, staff looked at me, I said "basically raw". The cashier had a horrified look, the manager (I guess?) asked what I got, I said "the burger" and started walking away. Nothing was said, no "wait, let's make this right" or anything. Not a word. I didn't care really for a refund anyway, cause then that would make me feel bad for all the bitching I'm going to be doing for awhile. Anyway, it was a good run, and pretty sure Heim BBQ is still doing good business. But I'm pretty much gone for good now. Can't wait for Heim to open his pizza business in a few months. Pretty sure he'll be making a killer burger and fries also.

Listen y'all this is damn good bbq. I rarely buy the sause at the restaurant because it's normally middle of the road and not great. But this place? With exception of their cole slaw (which sucks and y'all need to either change it or get rid of it entirely) this place is amazing. The pork belly burnt ends are some of the most delicious little bites I've had. Their brisket is moist and delicious. Sausage? Delicious. Sandwiches? Delicious. Onion rings? Also damn good. Only thing I hate is their slaw. It is lacking any real favor and just really is a blemish on an otherwise great restaurant. I will eat here every time I am in town.

It's funny, but I feel like I often go to home. I'm trying to find something wrong with it. That has yet to happen! I am continually impressed with the quality of their meat, each and every time.

Sampler during "Heim Hour" good bang for you $10!

Great customer service! Popped in and wanted to try a lil bit of this and a little bit of that. Overall not bad. The burnt ends were my fav and absolutely delicious! Ribs were tender as well as the brisket. The pinto bea s are just that, so don't order if you think they will be similar to baked beans. The pulled pork was tender but needed mor seasoning. My only problem is I'm a sauce girl and they only offered one. But I won't complain. They also have a full bar with plenty of cold bear on tap!

Came here on a whim. I was at the coffee shop next door when I smelled BBQ. The pork ribs and burnt ends were really good! But that brisket ... was dry AF. It was so dry I'm giving it a 4 star. Really friendly staff. I even bought some dry rub home because I liked the ribs so much!

Busy night on Thursday, but very quick service! My sister and I shared a 3 meat platter and two sides! The unexpected hit was the bacon burnt ends: flavorful, a little sweet, and tender . My favorite and I wish I can take a lb to go! But I didn't bc we finished it all. It was a lively place, I like seeing other folks enjoying their time!

Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.
