Happy Hour menu drinks and food
    Ashley A.

We went for happy hour!! 3-7p Monday -Friday Had a few beers and well drinks. Had to try their wings. Got the spicy smoked wings. Omg so delicious and i should have got 2 orders! It's a small bar it got busy around 5 and might have to wait on a drink once or twice! Overall we will be back again

Our experience at Cousins was marked by hits and misses which is why it only rates a 3. My wife and I shared a three meat platter with brisket, ribs and sausage. The two sides we chose were street corn and collards. The hits were the sausage and street corn. The sausage was delicious. It has a nice spiciness and was cooked with a little crispness to the outside. The street corn was full of rich flavors and was very enjoyable. On the other end of the dining spectrum the brisket was dry which in my book is a cardinal sin of any bbq restaurant. The fattiness should always counter balance any dryness. The ribs were basically all fat so they were the opposite problem from the brisket. The collards were extremely soupy. They were swimming. Overall, even with a couple of highlights this was a disappointing bbq meal.

Love the sign out side before you walk in! The restaurant was busy but clean. The service was nice and very friendly. The food was really tasty, we got fried okra ( the best so far) street corn ( had a nice spicy kick to it) the brisket ( loved the smoke on it) ribs were cooked nicely and the banana pudding was out of this world good and the peach cobbler was amazing( a little hint.... Ask for a scoop of ice cream on top of it(it's not on the menu BUT they do have it!! The beer on top was so cold ( served in a chilled mug) highly recommend coming in for a bit to eat here!! We'll be back soon

    New ordering experience. New interior.

I've lived in Fort Worth for 30+ years now and I've been coming to THIS cousins for the entire time. Even through the remodel when they had the to-go only. I associate this place with lunches with my father, my sergeant major from the army, my sons. I loved the old school cousins and the new NEO BBQ concept doesn't disappoint. I have loved everything I've gotten. Beers specials are great and the service is uncompromised. 20 year familiar faces STILL recognize you coming through the doors the place holds it's warm bbq wood everywhere finish but has opened up to a cool clean restaurant with wall fixtures and things to look around at. Love Cousins, and unless they make a drastic change for the worse I will forever like local Cousins. This one on Bryant Irvin is top tier.

    Lunch, Great job Cousins!!!!!!

"Sabar BBQ: Where the lamb ribs made me want to high five a stranger."…read more TL;DR: Get there early, order the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, let Zain carve you a plate of happiness, and prepare to have your taste buds do a Texas two-step with Pakistani spices. Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.

With a bit more seasoning and flavor, the sides could be the hit of the location, and this I think will come with time and practice. Tried the greens (little bland, but wonderful texture), Mac and Cheese (actually seasoning was spot on), and beans (with meat...meh). The greens and MC were the hits for sure. Brisket was on the dry side, maybe overcooked, and could have used some better trimming before cooking I think. Did not try sausages or chicken, but both looked appetizing. They are still dialing in their pits is my guess, and expect cook quality to improve with a time. Quality of meat may also be worth considering. Overal, Brown's is definitely worth a visit, and as they find their groove they could be a contender. Right now would put them at a fair 3.5 stars, but the energy, great attitude (smiles means repeat business), and great beginnings is worthy of 4 stars even now, and a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

If awnings advertised and installed for cold weather cannot be safely used in windy conditions, that is a serious operational and safety issue that should be addressed before guests are seated underneath them. Instead, customers were left exposed, freezing, and ignored. What made this worse was not the weather, but the complete lack of accountability or alternative solutions. No effort to relocate guests, no escalation to management, just repeated refusal. This reflects poor planning and even worse customer care. Management should take this seriously.
