    Lamb chorizo
    Echo L.

I still can't believe I'm giving 5-stars for fries. The lamb fries definitely went beyond my expectations. At first I was only expected the lambs and sauce are going to be tasty, and fries just going to be normal. But man, their fries are actually pretty good. It's like a really good combination of crispy and soft. And the fries goes so well with the lamb. Honestly even there's no lamb I would still eat those fries alone. They are just so good and I can't say no to them. Service are fast, and ppl working there are super friendly

So glad I took a chance on this and had a nontraditional brunch dish - Lamb Chorizo Hash - made fresh to order. It came in a huge bowl that I split with my partner and we barely finished it. From the first bite it was absolutely delicious, the spices of the sausage were clearly Mediterranean and went oh so well with the garlic sauce, green onions, and fresh over easy eggs. Not exactly a light breakfast but definitely a hearty one! Would order this again in a heartbeat!

Oddball! In my opinion, this is the sleeper star of Finn Hall. I visited the food hall at least 5-10 times before trying this Mediterranean joint. I was lured in one morning by their vegetable-forward brunch menu, and decided to try the Full Egyptian Breakfast. I was blown away!! I loved the flavorful veggies--especially the pickled cauliflower! Since that fateful morning I've tried the Hummus Bowl and the Shakshuka (only available for brunch!) and both were stellar. Oddball is reputed to have the best falafel in town, and while definitely flavorful, it didn't knock my socks off like I expected. That being said, I'm not a huge falafel fan and therefore might not be the best judge--so I'm not knocking any stars off for that. If you've been frequenting Finn Hall and haven't given Oddball a try--be sure to do so! The dishes composed of fresh ingredients combined with flavorful Mediterranean spices are well worth the stop.

Best Shawarma I had in North America and I loved in Middle East community! Something is magical about the sauce.

For delicious gourmet Middle East healthy fast food in Houston's downtown theatre district, Oddball Eats delivers superbly fresh saucy shawarma (aka sandwich) with no bar hold on all the unique spice mixes that make its shawarma so special. The generous use of olive oil, tahini and sauce mix is everything that I look for in a shawarma but seldom could find at typical shawarma joints. The staff are helpful and polite and this location at Finn Hall offers comfortable varied seating types. Do not forget to order the hummus and pita chips-they are like no others! The pita chips are super thin and crunchy , spiced just right with sumac. The hummus portion is generous and also feature sumac. If you are visiting Houston and staying in the theatre district in surround hotels like AC hotel, Club Quarters or Marriot, don't miss out on this shawarma joint at your next visit.

Lamb chorizo fries - YES HONEY

I ordered takeout so I could face an order of lamb chorizo fries and chicken shawarma from the comfort of my hotel room. The food came up super fast. The lamb chorizo fries were next level. If you're like me and think of indulgent food as worth it vs. not when you're done eating - these are WORTH IT. the amount of garlic sauce is what you want on every bite of Mediterranean food. And the lamb chorizo was flavorful l without being super greasy like pork chorizo. The shawarma kind of let me down, I must admit. It certainly wasn't bad, but it didn't have me in my feelings like the fries. They didn't grill the wrap once it was constructed, and I think that made the pita harder to bite. It felt like I was ripping pita bites with my teeth like a jungle cat. Still, the flavors were spot on and every I ingredient was seemingly fresh. Portion sizes were adequate and we service was lovely.

flaffel balls// $9 You are the most memorable flaffel and I will compare every future one to you Slight crunchiness, moist on the inside, well seasoned and bright. You now have a special place in my heart. And my god we're those #veggies ESPECIALLY THE PICKLED YELLOW PEPPER WAS SO DANK FAK fhfjdjjeje and none of them needed that #tahini sauce, regardless it was irresistible. Lamb "chorizo" hash
    Jackson S.

I went to the location inside of Finn Hall. FOOD The first dish is the lamb "chorizo" hash. To start off it was very good, the potatoes were crispy and hot. The lamb chorizo had good flavor and texture to it, especially when combined with the Gouda and their sauce. I appreciated the cilantro and spring onion to cut through the fat. However with the size of the dish, which made the price of the dish well worth it, the richness and fattiness was too much. The Full Egyptian Breakfast was good but a bit disjointed. The falafel was good but not amazing. ATMOSPHERE I actually really liked the openness of Finn Hall and the natural lighting into the area. I wish their bar seating was a bit more extensive like some of the other vendors but I understand that there are area constraints. Overall a very nice space with very personable employees. Base just off the food I would give it a 3/5 but the friendliness of the staff bumped it to a 4 for me.

Tried Oddball Eats from a coworker recommendation. Ordered the Spicy Curry Meatball Sandwich. Great taste...not too spicy. Perfect size for lunch. Also tried the pickled turnips. OE gave me a free serving. Those things have a little kick and are addicting. I don't even really like turnips, but loved the pickled turnips. Service was quick...prepared right on the spot. Tent is located at downtown farmers market. Will definitely go back to try more.

This salad at Finn hall was the bomb dot come. Loved the pickled veggies and pomegranate. The crunch of the nuts topped it off! And the falafel was tasty and plentiful. I'm dying to have this falafel salad again! And try the sampler next time!

Best falafel I've ever had. Lamb chorizo fries, chicken shawarma and charred broccoli baba ganoush are also amazing.

I tried the lamb chorizo fries (delicious), falafel (fluffy inside with great flavor) and the chicken shawarma sandwich (also delish but could have used more sauce inside). Easily some of the best falafel I have had in Houston and really enjoyed everything else too. Also reasonably priced. Recommend if you want Mediterranean and are in the downtown area!

Chargrilled broccoli Baba ganoush is amazing, the falafel so tasty, and the pita chips with sumac to eat the hummus OMG.

    Michelle T.

Came to Finn Hall so we could all have a choice in what to order and Mediterranean food sounded light and fresh. I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich but customized it into a bowl with hummus on the side. The chicken was very tender but to me it was over powered by the cinnamon. I couldn't really taste the other flavors. The hummus also seemed like it had cinnamon sprinkled on as well.

However, we were charged for it at the end. I understand the charge itself, but no one at the table had ordered it; they just set it on the table. It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. Our experience was otherwise great, but double check the menu for what is complimentary and what isn't.

All 3 meals were really flavorful, good quality, really well-seasoned, very juicy and so delicious. The gyros and burger are without question imo the best in TX. Ekko's and Nick The Greek are 2nd n 3rd for Greek food for me. I always got the gyros sandwich as opposed to the plate before which is odd bc I always prefer meat plates over sandwich form in other foods like bbq, steak, etc. The meat pieces were all really tasty and had some slight char to them too. The taziki sauce is always cold, creamy in feel and refreshing with a good yogurt aroma to it. It's a great bonus and the gyros didn't even need it tbh. The tomatoes were nicely refreshing and the exotic, cool center dolma is always a little treat with meals here. The rice and chunky lemon potatoes with my meals were always mild but still great in texture and prep. As I said before; from my experiences in every single Greek cafe, if the taziki sauce is good, the gyros will be too. It's a solid symptom and indicator imo. As for the burger, very rarely are burger places only in TX actually any good for the past 15 years. So many are just average or below lacking seasoning or a great overall flavor. Niko Niko's, Goode Company Hamburgers and TX Hamburger Palace are my top 3 in that order for it. Each different too. The brioche buns were just the right thickness and very soft to make the beef patty stick out well. The patty was so nice in charbroiled taste, saltiness, richness, beefiness and tender in every bite. A good burger doesn't need much in toppings, but cool, refreshing, tomatoes are a must for me and pickles add some tangy crunch too. For steak rare, but for a burger medium to medium rare. I had never seen or heard of their Greek Spaghetti n Meat Sauce before. This was like a Greek Bolognese with a lot of love in its flavor. The noodles were drained, very moist and so soft. I don't like too much cheese, so I took some off, but still like some. The meat sauce gravy itself was really flavorful, savory, fatty enough and had that subtle sweet, warm spice aroma you get in the Greek lasagna. I like to get dessert here sometimes when I have extra room, bc they have some great options like their galaktobourreko, chocolate ganache cake, etc. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient on these visits.

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.
