She has many years of experience and you can tell in the way she does the massage. I came in one time with a stiff neck that I couldn't move. I slept on it really wrong and was in an incredible amount of pain. She helped treat me and provided me so much relief. She is very accommodating and attentive to my needs and I always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. They offer a discount on Mondays for locals and also a monthly subscription plan. Getting consistent massages is key and I highly recommend seeing Alicia. Parking can be tricky on a busy day and the spa is downstairs from International Cafe. The spa is small but cozy and clean. They also have a red light sauna which was amazing.

I very much appreciate that kind of healing work. :-) Her massage studio is located in Pacific Grove on 230 Fountain Ave. That's just next door to Monterey and Carmel so it's a good location. The massages are priced very reasonably for the location - $70 an hour an excellent Relaxation Massage or Chair Massage and $90 for a seriously awesome Deep Tissue Massage. She also offers Aromatherapy, Hot Stone Therapy, On-site Massages, and Pre-natal Pregnancy massages!!! You'll probably go ahead and rebook right away and naturally want to leave her a generous tip. Camilla is always continuing her massage education so there may be more to add to this list but the last time we chatted about her specialities, she mentioned Swedish, Shiatsu, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Craniosacral, and Cold Stone Massage. If you're looking for a great place to get the best massage, give Camilla a call. Her hours are by appointment only. She will not disappoint. Might see ya there!

When they asked how long we wanted the massage for, I said one hour because they close at 9 pm, but they said we can do however long we want, it's up to us. We still chose the one hour since we felt bad making them stay longer, but the fact that they were so flexible is great customer service. The actual massage was incredible. The rooms are private, and my boyfriend literally fell asleep. I felt so relaxed after, and they applied the perfect amount of pressure. The prices are also unbeatable. I'd 100% recommend this place to everybody I know!

Both times I selected the "30 min foot + 30 min body combo" massage listed on the sign for $60. On the first visit, when it was time to pay, I was told I had received a Swedish massage and was charged $70, even though I did not receive a Swedish massage. I returned a second time assuming the first visit was a misunderstanding. Again, I chose the "30 min foot + 30 min body combo" massage for $60, and again at checkout I was told the total was $70, due to a $10 upcharge for "deep pressure." This upcharge was not disclosed in advance. I was only asked if I preferred soft or firmer pressure at the beginning of the massage. I answered "firmer", which is my preference and doesn't result in an upcharge anywhere I go - unless I specifically select a deep tissue massage. The unexpected price change at checkout caused sticker shock, which completely ruined the relaxation of the massage. I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt, but as this happened twice now... I don't feel inclined to go back to try a third time, let alone try anything else on their menu. The second visit also skipped arms, shoulders, and hands, which are normally included in a massage, and there was no foot bath, which is typically standard at a foot reflexology place. While I did appreciate the private room and it seemed clean, it was tiny and I was freezing, despite a space heater being in the room. Clear, upfront pricing is important. When the advertised price changes at payment, especially more than once, it's not a good experience. I generally tip 30% at these establishments and still did so, as I don't know if the overcharge was from the employee, or employer-but I definitely won't be returning and I will look for another place that doesn't try to bait & switch on pricing.

A beautiful and intimate space with many amazing plants bespeaks of a personal and inviting sanctuary for one to rest and heal. He is capable of any level of massage or healing: one only need to specify desired modality and pressure. Massage began with a good epsom salt foot scrub and then progressed to one of the deeper applications of pressure point massages I've ever had in my life, and I've had a few. To use this level of strength and pressure a person really must know what they're doing to effect healing and not injury, and healing is certainly the case here at Livewell massage; one of the finest boutique massage outfits on the planet, sans the boutique pricetag.
