Best! Massage! Ever!…read more My husband and I had an appointment and it had to be rescheduled due to an emergency with the massage therapist which was no worry and they were great about rescheduling when we were available. When we got there they'd given us an upgrade due to the "inconvenience" which I'd say it wasn't at all especially since everyone was so nice about it! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and walked us through the whole process and even brought us water afterward. We'll definitely be returning next time we're in town!

They gave me a little slip that was the pre appointment questionnaire, and on it there was a spot asking about places to focus on. I put down neck and lower back, but I don't think the masseuse checked it because there wasn't any emphasis on those spots, so make sure to actually tell them if you want something specific. My only con with this place (such great kindness and such a beautiful spa) is that the massage was short. My bf got me 90 mins for my bday! which was $220, which would be fine if my massage wasn't like 75 mins :(. It started at ~5:20 (appointment was @5:15) but they stopped massaging at 6:35. I dont know if that's standard for places but it felt unfair to charge 90 mins for all that, I was even out the room by 6:40 even though he planned on picking me up at 6:45. I tipped pretty low because of it :| Even though the masseuse was so nice I just feel like my bf got ripped off a little bit. Definitely come if you are not afraid to speak up for yourself, other than those two things the service was great, and the spa is gorgeous

I asked if I could slightly be elevated and he was able to lift the back of the massage bed up and placed a pillow under my head. They wash off your feet before the massage. I really enjoyed the foot massage. He did a really great job. I asked for the body portion to focus on my shoulders. I was able to sit down so he could better focus on the shoulders. He was very good and checked to make sure I was ok with the pressure. The only thing that would make the experience better would be if essential oils were used for the massage.

Went in wanting a foot massage and he started with head, neck, shoulders just to begin the relaxing experience. Oh wait the warm foot bath is how the experience truly began. Allowing feet to warm up before the actual foot and leg and ending with knee massage. Not only did he get every spot, the perfect pressure and well honed technique were much appreciated. They use oil during the massage and generally wipe it off at the end preparing you to slip on your shoes and head out to explore the shops and many restaurants in the adjoining neighborhood. Thank you so much for making my day, week, month!

The front desk staff was very accommodating and got us situated right away. The prices are very fair, and I can genuinely say this was one of the best massages I've had in a very long time. Lee was extremely professional and knowledgeable, especially when it came to pressure points and areas of tension. We will definitely be returning!

I will go ahead and give this spa 5 stars but let me explain why…read more.. First the staff is truly amazing! Harmoni was so sweet she greeted us and showed us around the entire spa! She made us feel very welcome and I really appreciated her hospitality feel. Second, Allison did my massage which to be quite honest was a 10 out of 10 for me! That's one of the best massages I've had in a very long time! Only downside was I did a 50 minute which was not even close to long enough! I would come back to her for an 80 minute hands down no questions asked! Third, they have pretty decent amenities. The tea is freakin delicious! Water a plus! Robes were comfy and they provided sandals. Awesome! Now here are the cons: 1. The pool and jacuzzi spa are outside and shared with the hotel guests so when you go outside little kids are jumping in and out of the jacuzzi, splashing around and making a lot of noise. I believe kids should be kids and not have to feel restricted. So with that said this spa is lacking in having its own private spa jacuzzi for relaxation vibes. 2. The "relaxation room" ain't so quiet. It's too close to the entrance so when people come in or check out you hear everything which is so annoying if you're trying to read or relax before or after the massage. Plus it shares a room where the staff out away the items used. So yeah lots of movement going on. 3. The steam room completely lacks steam! Which totally defeats the purpose. I hated that so much . 4. They do not have a swim suit spinner to get the water off your swim wear! You have to leave with it sopping wet in a plastic bag. That's the upside of the situation they provide a bag for you! Big Whoop! Overall I give it a 5 for what they do have and not for what they don't! So just know if you do go that's what's lacking!

Omg what a treasure I stumbled upon today!…read more Woke up this morning and decided to drive to Monterey from San Jose. Last minute decided I wanted a massage and this place was a 5 min drive away, so I took a chance and happy I did. Moon was excellent! I frequent 'Asian style' communal massage places, and also go to proper day spas about once a year, so I have experience at both types. This place is a mix of both. Oceanway Spa is no fuss, clean and quiet. Moon did an excellent Swedish massage and was listening to my body. She was able to feel where my body was tender and work on those spots. The massage is a great value and I'll be back when I'm in town again. Lastly, I'm a clean freak and impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. My room had a comfy massage table and cozy warm blanket. Please visit Moon! Your body will thank you. My only regret is this spa isn't in San Jose :(

The hotel we were staying at unfortunately did not have any openings that evening so we began to call around places. We called May's Wellness Spa and we were so excited that they could accommodate us for that evening at 6:15 PM which was only a couple of hours away. The place is tucked back with a lot of residential homes nearby so I wasn't quite sure we were in the right place, but it was easy to find. The inside was clean and cozy, and the ladies were very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I opted for the 90 minute massage and it was worth every minute. Both ladies did an amazing job. I requested a basic Swedish massage and my husband went with a deep tissue massage since he was pretty sore from a rough work week. We both left their feeling so relaxed and we both slept so good that night. I highly recommend!
