If you are looking for quality meat for pho, you won't get it any better then here. I've frequented many Vietnamese restaurants, anywhere from local IE to Pho Central (westminster lol) and truly Ocean Pho delivers quality. My go to is always their filet mignon pho with spring rolls (with their dank ass peanut sauce). But if you aren't into pho, their rice dishes are something to talk about as well. I love their BBQ pork with broken rice, and my brother loves their orange chicken (even though I know it seems weird to get orange chicken at a viet restaurant). But for the variety, quality of food, and great service at least every time I'm there, Ocean Pho is well deserving of these 5 stars. I honestly don't know why the rating isn't 5 stars, or at least 4 1/2 stars. People seem to be salty for literally everything nowadays, but if you are like me and quality/taste of food is most important, then I really can't complain! read more

IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ! this is an honest review, i am not here to trash Ocean pho but i do want to make the public aware of my experiences. For the past two times i ate here, i literally had to rush to their restroom and puke my brains out. Quite literally, the vomit was very severe. Everything that i ate from here just projected out from my stomach. The first time i ate a piece of meat from their flat noodle plate and right when i bit into it i had to excuse myself from the table and run to their bath room. Luckily the trash can was right in front me when i opened the door or else there wouldve been throw up all over the floor and i wouldve felt bad for the workers. The second time was today, i had their pho and as i was in the middle of eating my dish, i had to quickly rush to their restroom and project everything out that i ate. after i threw up i felt great. Im just writing this out just incase any one has a weird suspicion of there food like me. what makes it weirder is that the food tasted good so i dont know if there just using spoiled ingredients. After reading some of the reviews im heavily under the impression i was served rotten food both times. i hope this helps for future and returning customers. will be calling them tomorrow to let them know my experiences. this place is over priced. UPDATE!! i just called today on Saturday May 14, 2022 about my experience on Friday 13, 2022. I called them with respect asking for thew manager and they said there was no manager in the store so i spoke to a gentleman that was working there. There was no need for the gentleman to pass the phone to the young woman when i requested to speak to the manager. The young woman then proceeded to give me attitude while i was still showing every inch of respect possible. i had to humble her to let her know that im not here for them to give me an explanation, refund, im not here to argue nor was i hear to disrespect their place of work. i called to inform them about my experiences just incase they've had other customers who felt this way with their food. very unprofessional and disappointed by their way of handling this situation. Went here for lunch today and found a giant roach in the shrimp pho!! Let me start by saying before ordering our food I took my daughter into the restroom and there was vomit everywhere on the floor all over the toilet and wall. I came out and told they guy that was already taking my sister order and he said someone had an accident. Ok? I could've informed me when you seen me walk pass you to get to the restroom. The place was empty and it took about 30-40 minutes to get our order. My sister order came out first the young lady who brought it out looked like she was not feeling too well maybe hungover? (only saying this because she had rave bracelets from the event going on in the area) my sister started to mix her hot sauce and notice the giant ROACH! We were in disbelief and immediately went to tell the young lady who brought it. She jumped back and said "eww omg no no no that is not ok I am so sorry"! She then rushed the pho to the back and a guy comes out confused starts talking in their language he seemed upset at the fact she was giving us a full refund she responded to him " no no that's not ok I'm giving them their money back" I didn't even get my order and of course I asked for a refund as well.. and fyi the guy who took our order was eating a giant corn while taking our order supper unprofessional. We had lunch here, two of us had Pho and one had the orange chicken and fried rice. We ordered the #19 seafood pho. The seafood was good but the broth was a bit plain. Kind of just ok broth. I added lots of chili's, bean sprouts, and lime. After adding all of that is did bring out the flavor. There was a lot of noodles too. The orange chicken was a hit and the fried rice was really flavorful. I will try again but there are so many other choices to look forward too. read more

Service is absolutely horrible and food is not the great compared to other pho places but it was honestly how rude the waitresses were. I was actually on my way to Noodle21 and something told me to come to Ocean Pho instead. And I'm so glad I did!! This was my first time in and I was so happy because I was craving bun bo hue which is this dish here. The broth was delicious and flavorful!!! I don't care too much for the meat that's in it, but there are a variety of tender pieces of beef, and pork. They received a "C" grade due to improper hand washing, incorrect food storage, dusty dishes, and mold in the ice machine. After seeing that on the report I decided to turn around and go elsewhere. I came in today with my mom and my 8month old baby. We were waiting for our pho and when it was coming it was spilled all over my baby and my mom. As this happened my baby immediately started screaming crying in pain and we rushed her to the urgent care to be treated as she comes back with 1st degree burns on her legs, belly, neck and head. I have been trying to speak to the owner who apparently is Daisy at Redlands in Mountain grove and she as extremely rude like dropping a bowl of hot soup on a baby is not a big deal or that my baby is burned. I went in to speak to Daisy and the owner and the owner would not even come out knowing the circumstances and Daisy was still incredibly rude as if she did not believe me at all. Daisys main concern was that we walked out without paying our meal as we did not even get a sip or taste of as we are carrying out my crying 8 month old baby. thank god my mom was with me because I was so frazzled and panicked that my baby was burnt screaming crying in pain that I could not even drive. Updated review...again: This place is always clean and the service is great. The business needs to relocate and find a larger spot for their clientele. Nice folks during covid. Open relatively early on a Sunday. My girl got the brisket pho and was content. I chose the shrimp spring roll and was disappointed. They must have been pre-made because I was asked if I wanted 2 or 4 pieces. When I got them they were wrapped in pairs in cellophane. They were boring. They lacked mint or cilantro or romaine lettuce. They were filled with noodles and shredded iceberg lettuce. They had no flavor. Not a true Vietnamese Spring roll. Noodle filler and iceberg. Better restaurants use the opaque wrap to showcase the artistic layering of the ingredients to appeal to the eye. The peanut sauce allowed me to eat the flavorless wraps. Went in with my fiancé and we were ushered into a table without so much as a greeting. It was very impersonal but we were hungry and didn't think much of it - at first. Then when we tried to place the order the same server tosses down two menus, and turns around without saying a word and walks off. We exchanged a look like "did you see that or am I overreacting?" We nodded that it was BS and chuckled, annoyed but still willing to play along (we were hungry). Same guy comes back a third time, takes our order and then literally rips the menu out of her hand once we finished. We quietly got up and headed for the door. We Stopped today on 5/27/17 for an early dinner since it was a fairly new Vietnamese Restaurant in the area I figured it was worth a shot. As we entered we were not greeted by the 3 people who stood up front in the cash register area . In my honest opinion my First Impression already started off poorly. She asked us if we wanted anything to drink to start off & we placed our orders . Tell me why it took her close to over 10-15 mins to bring water out and the restaurant was Stupid empty pretty much . We ordered an appetizer of Nem Nuong Goi Cuon which is Cured pork spring roll which came with a bland peanut sauce . The spring roll was 80% noodle with ice berg lettuce & a small piece of pork. Most Vietnamese restaurants make spring rolls with romaine lettuce with mint & other herbs & cucumbers.. this was disgusting imo. Our food finally came out . We ordered an udon noodle soup , grilled pork with egg roll & shredded pork noodle dish and grilled chicken dish with rice and a strawberry smoothie with boba. Can I just say the quality of food was poor and lacked flavor besides the Poor Customer service we received . Not once was out water replenished.. in the entire time we were there . I think what made me even more upset is my noodle dish was missing the shredded pork. The place our check and as I was paying I asked them politely what to the missing items in my dish I ordered? I advised that our server "Tina" I only knew her name since I over heard another staff stating her name took our order and didn't check it prior to serving it . So I brought it to their attention and offered 10% . First off , I didn't need a fucken 10% discount since we left a tip for the poor customer service we received I just was a little unclear why they don't make sure the order was correct for their Patrons. Overall , everything about this place Shitty AF. This place is bogus .. the food quality is disgusting and doesn't scream Authentic Vietnamese cuisine I would much rather go to Orange County or SGV where the food quality is up to my expectations. The worst service I have ever. The food is ok but it's such a small restaurant. I don't understand why a bowl of pho or so, would take so long and the dishes all come out at random times. I recently visited this place for the first time with my family. We all ordered our food and waited 30 mins for the first dish to come out. The first dish was a plain bowl of chicken pho. Usually when we have a group of hungry kids, we go to a pho place because it's usually quick and easy. All the adults got their food first and the kids were last, it was so sad for the parents because they felt guilty for eating before their kids. Anyways when the dishes came out, the server would yell out the number and held the plate in the air, so we could see. We don't remember the number of the dish, we ordered the dish by it's proper name, the server looked irritated that we didn't know the number and rudely said to the cashier " ugh they don't KNOW the number ." When the server came out again with another dish, all she said was "no onions, no onions" and we were all like, we'll what kind of pho is it because we ordered two different types. It seems like the server wasn't very knowledge in the dishes, she was super rude and sounded like she doesn't even want to work there. With that awful experience I will no longer come to this establishment. The older ladies next to us ordered a few banh mi's and told us that it was terrible. They only picked at it. I don't recommend for anyone to come here, esp if you're looking for a quick bite. Go somewhere else. Such a waste of space in this awesome plaza. Service was fast and efficient, and they were courteous and attentive. The waiter warned me the dish may take a while to prepare, but I waited less than 15 minutes! I thought it was nice of him to let me know. The restaurant looks well kept, clean and pretty classy for a pho restaurant - not your typical Westminster/Garden Grove pho joint. I grew up close to the Vietnamese food capital, so my review may be a bit harsh. Ocean Pho is not a bad option for the Inland Empire! I ordered spring rolls (which come in a set of 2 or 4) and bun rieu. The spring rolls were great. Refreshing and delicious. The peanut sauce that came with it was a little bit more thinned out than I'm used to, and didn't stick to the spring roll as well as I would have liked. I'd probably still order it again though they are not the best I've ever had. The bun rieu looked beautiful at first look, but was lacking a lot of the ingredients listed in the menu. No pork blood and minimal meat in sight. It hit the spot, but for $10 I'd expect to get everything listed! I was thankful to be able to get the Asian food I've been missing, so I'm thankful for their presence in the Mountain Grove plaza. I will most likely return because I frequently crave Asian food. Pho is plentiful in the Inland Empire, but the other Vietnamese dishes served here (bun rieu, bun bo hue) can be a little more difficult to find. Stingy with the sauce! Why put 1 small container for pho to-go? I asked for extra sauce (hoisen and sriracha) and all we get is a small container of hoisen, no sriracha. Come on guys the sauce is important for pho. Keeping 1 star until you guys start packing enough sauces. They always forget the sauce. Called for an pick up order, always have to make sure they leave enough sauce for the number of orders each time. This time, they forgot the chili oil and sriracha again. Man...this place...worst pho place I have ever been to. Service: Friends and I walked in before our movie starts. There were three employees and two were pretty busy and one was at the register. You're lucky I was having a good day and I'm with my good group of friends. Food: $10.49 for a half bowl of pho broth and a third of pho noodle than most places? HELL NO. Let me correct that...a third of pho noodle than all places I've been. The broth was rather bland. The pieces of meat can be counted without using all ten fingers. I understand this is Redlands, but this is ridiculous. I've been to many pho places in Orange County and a few in LA, and I have never seen so little food for that price. Other: While my friends and I were chatting, waiting for our food, this couple sat down next to us, a few minutes later, the same guy, with the glasses, came and took their order, and out of nowhere, I heard, "Let's go, we're leaving. If you have at least two parties left because of your employee within a very short period of time, you guys should definitely train your employees better. Business hours are posted on the front door until 10:30pm!!!! Standard, good pho. Broth is a little bit on the sweeter side but it's easily balanced out by adding lime.

Was good when it first opened but has quickly taken a dump. Took over 30 min to get our food. The excuse by the waitress was that I had ordered the chicken pho which requires them to deep fry the chicken leg. (The menu says grilled or fried but she didn't ask, just assumed) What finally came was an old dry looking chicken leg on top of my pho along with lettuce in the broth. And only one of our drinks came after the food (over 30 min) I asked where my friends coke was and the lady didn't ever bring it until we had to ask AGAIN. Just to point out that my friend got traditional pho and hers had lost the flavor that brought us back to this establishment. Will all these issues everything remained on the bill at full charge. The closest I'll get to homemade pho. Unlike other places, the broth here was perfectly flavored. I've been to several pho places in the IE and the broth was too sweet which is not the way the broth is supposed to be. Done right it tastes like fresh chicken broth. The staff was very attentive and welcoming too. Occasionally, I'll order to go and they give you plenty of meat veggies and sauce. We were in the area and we were craving phó. I yelp'd the area and found this place. The restaurant is rather small (32 max cap); however, we made it just in time and got the last table. The staff was okay and seemed to be a bit confused. We sat and waited a few minutes before we received menus. Our order was taken (3 steak phó & one noodle) and the pho came out within a reasonable amount of time. A mistake was made with one of the phó' but it was corrected and a new phó was brought out. The phó was okay, in my opinion it was lacking flavor and was a bit bland. Now the noodle, took a long time to come out and once it arrived, we were pretty much done and picked it at before we saw the label on a piece of vegetable (pictured). We picked it out and needless to say, we stared at each other and stopped eating the noodle plate. We got our bill and rather than being charged three steak phó, I got charged for three filet mignon phó, WTH!. Although it wasn't a big price difference the error was once again corrected. I saw that they had good ratings and I don't know if it was just my luck but we love phó and have been to several phó establishments.
