No, the portions you get are huge, comes with everything for a tasty bowl of pho. The shrimp rolls and peanut sauce were amazing. The man behind the counter was very sweet. Today is Saturday Sept 12, 2026. We went to have lunch here today and I don't think I've had a worse experience. Ordered calamari and I was so overcooked that you couldn't even bite through it. It seemed like the staff only interest was entertaining each other. After I tried the calamari and sent it back I decided that there was nothing there I wanted to try. My wife however was hungry so she ordered the #31. It was salty bland and the money we spent there was a total waste. I had to call back to the kitchen to ask for the check ... done filling it out ... waited and waited for anyone to come back to take it so we could leave but again I had to get out of my seat and call out to back kitchen because no one was at the counter to ask them to take it so we could leave. Calamari was awful, fried wontons were not worth the money they asked for it. Did not eat it all nor did I want to take it home. The wontons had crab we were offered cream cheese wontons but weren't told there was crab in it. It was edible but edible is not good. So if you are looking for good service, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere... this is not the place to go. I should have known when the place was empty at noon on a Saturday. It depends on when you go there if they understand which pho broths are gluten free. The first time I went I got the chicken broth pho with shredded chicken, delicious, but the broth is not as fragrant as the beef, so I inquired if the beef pho was gluten free and it is not, I was violent Ill. That being said, I've been back and had the chicken pho with no issues. The place seems really clean and really does the take out business. The service depends on whether you get someone that knows what gluten free is, and someone with a good grasp with the English language helped me. No disrespect to people who aren't as fluent, because I'm pretty sure I'm terrible at their language . I suggest a separate gluten free or gluten sensitive menu or mark up one menu for GF. read more

My husband and I used to eat here almost every week, either picking up or ordering in - we used to dine in at the mountain grove location as well but they started going down first. A couple of months ago we started getting flavorless soup with a greasy, thin broth and old tasting chicken. We tried 3 times waiting a bit in between and it's gotten progressively worse. The broth today was almost completely clear, had no body and just tasted vaguely sweet and greasy - no rich chicken and star anise like we used to get. The chicken is dry with a kind of shiny "skin" to it and tastes like 4 day old shredded rotisserie chicken. We dumped both orders in the trash and got a refund from door dash. Used to be a 4 or 5 star for me, not even a 1 anymore. Ocean Pho has several locations, so tonight we enjoyed Ocean Pho #3 on Barton Road in Redlands. We started with their rolls. They had the usual Egg Roll, and a large variety of Spring Rolls. The veggies in the Egg Roll were cooked, yet were still crunchy but the flavor wasn't very pronounced. These rolls came with a sauce that had a fish base to it, very slightly sweet with a bit of heat and salt. This was a must with the egg roll. The Shredded Pork Roll was different. The pork had an odd/grainy texture. The flavor had a hint of smokiness. The stuffing was mostly lettuce. The Grilled Beef Rolls weren't very flavorful. The beef by itself was bland, and very skimpy. However, the peanut sauce was flavorful: mild yet had a hint of flowery notes: interesting. The Shrimp & Pork Spring Rolls were also bland. Also this was about the sauce. It had some flavor and a bit of heat. Our first entre was the #41 Beef Rice Porridge. I've never had this before. For a cold, wintery day this could be a Pho substitute. Its rice boiled into a creamy, very liquidly, porridge with added ingredients. It arrived very, and stayed, very hot. The added beef wasn't too flavorful, but the added strips of ginger were a nice palate pleaser. Our second entre was the #105 Pan-Fried Chow Fun Noodles with Basil and Chicken. This was good. The vegetables were cooked, yet still crunchy. The added ginger came through with a hint of tang. The noodles absorbed the flavor of the broth, were appropriately smooth and soft. Based on the flavors of the broths and sauces, we'll be back to try the Pho as the weather gets cooler. read more

First let me say they don't write your order down everything is supposedly in their working memory, but when you get your order food is missing, and by the time you get their attention and let them know you didn't receive everything ordered then it comes at the end of the meal when your already done eating & I tell them I don't want it anymore and when I got the bill everything I ordered was on the bill, and that's when the fun starts. I told them to deduct 3 dishes I never received and they acted like they didn't understand they said "you ordered it therefore you pay for it" I said yes I ordered it, but I never got the food so why should I pay for food I didn't receive even though some of it came at the end of the meal I didn't want it anymore plus I never got all of it.
