I called this place spoke with Carlos who had given me a estimate for my Japanese pine tree. Carlos was very nice easy to communicate with and gave me a fair price. I had 2 guys come out and trimmed my tree and removed all the dead pine needles. I was satisfied with their work only issue I had was I had to ask them to do more cleaning of the dead pine needles around and under the tree when they said they were finished. Which is why I gave them the 4 star rating. read more

I shopped around before coming to Carols but glad that we choice him. The day of the quote he came on time, dressed professionally and a written quote was provided on the spot. There isnt many people that would pass up on a job but Carols would only take on jobs that he would be proud and something that he can stand by. I was really surprised and knew that I can trust him and his team to do the best job possible. The day of the services his team came on time, finished the project early and had uniforms and hardhats. They were very professional and took the time to go the extra mile to make my backyard beautiful. Since he has so many recommendations and jobs lined up his schedule fills up fast. I would still recommend using his services even if you have to wait like I did. I shopped around for some time and for the quality and peace of mind that he will do a great job is priceless. read more

We had several trim services out to look at our over grown ficus on our back slope and each one had a different excuse (It's too tall, there's some bees, we don't climb slopes) or came up with some ridiculous number (one guy wanted $1800????). Saw OC Tree Care's reviews on Yelp, gave them a call, and Carlos gave me a really reasonable quote. Next day a team of 3 guys with one English speaking team leader came out, with their tree shredding truck got it done in under 3 hours and we're very pleased. Nice work guys, see you in six months. read more

Carlos came out promptly at the time he gave us. He was very professional and efficient and the price he gave was very good. We agreed on a time for the job to be done two days out. The crew led by Jose showed up on the right day, exactly on time. They were professional, did good work and cleaned up 100% of their debris. OC Tree Care is great and I will definitely use them again, as well as recommend them to others. Great overall job OC Tree Care!! read more

I can't give any less than 5 stars. They gave me a great estimate for taking out 5 large palm tree's, grinding the stumps, and haul away. They also removed 3 smaller trees, and a few large birds of paradise. They worked fast given the amount of work they had to do. All 4 guys worked very hard and cleaned up the yard and debris afterward perfectly! Started at 9:00am done by 2:15. I have no idea how they finished so fast! I would highly recommend this company, and definitely use them again. read more

I would had given them 5 stars if not for the mixed up on what were being done. The guys came, did the works, and left. Carlos called and told me that everything done. I came home and found out they did not grind down the stumps. I called and he said the next day. They did not come the next day but another day later. They did the works and pickup all the trashes!!! read more

We just purchased a house and it had a large tree out front and and three huge king palms. I had gotten a quote from one other company and was still waiting on another quote when Carlos came to quote. His quote was much less expensive so I gave him the work. He said he could come back that afternoon. His crew was there in less than two hours These two guys worked their butts off! They got both trees taken down and fronded the stumps. The then agreed to stay late and trim the reaming two king palms. My husband and I were both so impressed with the guys at our house. They worked hard and didn't waste any time. They were easy to talk to and they cleaned up every bit of the mess. I highly recommend OC Tree Care and I plan to use them when I'm ready to take down the other two palms. read more

Called them on Thursday, and, by Friday noon, our front and backyard trees were trimmed and nice (with two trees completely removed, stump and all!). Carlos was super knowledgeable and helpful during the estimate. Originally, they quoted me 8am-3pm for two tree removals, one huge trim and shaping on an Elm, and topping on 3 Cypress trees and bougainvilla, along with the removal of a carrotwood tree, Mexican Palm and a Mulberry tree.... but they ended up bringing 3 excellent workers and they finished by 12pm. After examining their work, I asked for more branches to be removed, more trimming, and additional shaping on the cypress trees, they happily obliged. They even shared some tree wisdom. happy to recommend. read more

How many souls does it take to remove a tree? Four hunky men plus one terrified house cat! She thought she'd be a great supervisor til they turned on the chipper truck and the stump grinder ... then it was 500 mph to the nearest closet. Haha! Luckily the four hunky men had it all under control. So, I called four top-rated companies on Yelp, and this was the ONLY one who called me back. Guess the other guys just have more business than they need ... who wants to work with somebody too busy for great service??? Certainly not me. Carlos came out for an estimate and went above-and-beyond with his recommendations. He was very personable, and put me at ease with the process. The crew came out the very next day. They had every tool needed, and at least two crew members spoke English (I speak English only, so this was helpful). They were very cautious of a nearby window, and were careful with the landscaping, being sure to ask about sprinklers, water lines, and the fencing (which we're about to replace anyway). I appreciated their professionalism. These guys knew their stuff. And I appreciated their courtesies and I just couldn't be happier. Good job, guys! And P.S. to those other guys who are too busy to return a phone call? I'll be passing OC Tree Care's name around the neighborhood since our builder apparently knew nothing about types of trees and where to place them. Our neighborhood will be naked soon from all the tree removals! read more

Review strictly for firewood, not their tree services. First of all, I used their yelp address to go and possibly pick up firewood. Took me to a neighborhood with houses and not a business. Called the office and it went straight to voicemail. Wasted my morning driving around and never got my firewood from them. They should update their business address on yelp or don't advertise they offer firewood. read more

These guys really did a good job, my trees were way over grown, and I got quoted for just a trim and shape, but I asked them to cut it as short as they could for the quote, and boy did they do it ! and quick too ! the last guy charged me almost as much and didn't hardly cut anything off ! By the end of the job they had several crews here to finish it. I would highly recommend. read more

Had OC Tree Care come out to trim some trees as well as stake some others that were about to collapse on their side. Professional, on-time, friendly, reasonably priced, and their work was excellent. OC Tree Care was responsive to my questions and provided a written quote as well as an insurance certificate. Of all the quotes I received for the job, they had the best price. On the day of the job, the crew arrived early, worked hard, were fast while being safe, and left the yard very clean. OC Tree Care was very professional throughout. read more

They did a great job and worked very quickly. Reasonable pricing and even cut back a couple of small palms at no extra cost. The big tree was close to my neighbors home and he brought extra guys to make sure no damage was done. read more

I called three services for estimates. Two called back promptly and provided estimates including OC Tree Care. Their bid was comparable to the other one but they offered a deeper trunk grinding so I selected them. They arrived on time and removed my King Palm. Their trunk/Root grinder did not fit past my gate. So they returned the next day with a smaller one and complete the job. They cleaned up after them selves. I would recommend and utilize in the future. read more

Very fast to schedule an estimate and service. Not sure about the value, but they did a great job.

OC Tree Care was great to work with. They showed up on time and did a great job. We will definitely use them again.

Three very large trees above house, garage and neighbours house and garage needed to be removed. Quote was good, reputation was good so here we go on the big day.... Team arrived bang on time. Very pleasant to deal with crew, to watch them work was fantastic. Super professional, well coordinated and safe teamwork made the job look easy. ( it certainly was not an easy task) This company has all the equipment and most importantly competent staff to get the job done safely ,quickly, and at a good value. ( without damaging anything - property, fences, sprinklers) Highly recommend to others in Laguna beach/ South OC. Thanks to all the neighbours who made this possible and for Carlos for coordinating the work. read more

I am not a person to put up bad reviews unless I truly feel that it is necessary. In today's case, I felt like the way Carlos, the owner handled my situation was something that should be mentioned because I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same thing. Just now I had my pepper trees trimmed in my front yard. The crew showed up on time and I was asked what I wanted. I showed my quote given by Carlos in the past and also mentioned to the guy that there were long branches that were growing out of the area where you see the full growth. I just want those branches trimmed back just until the area where you see the round full area. He said he sees the area and said ok. They used the scissors and saw to cut down the large pieces and that was fine. I walked away and then went back to see that one guy was going around and had snipped off literally every little branch with leaves off the braches until pretty much no leaves were left. I tried to get the guy's attention to tell him while he kept cutting and cutting but it was too late. I had them stop but the pepper trees just looked bald at this point. So I called Carlos to mention what had happened. (I had used his services previouslyfor a trim). At first he asked me if I communicated what I wanted to the guy. Yes. I told the guy what i wanted, just a trim. Then he mentioned I was supposed to tell him to do it how it was done last time. That last time was a year or so ago and I don't even know if the guys here were the same as last time. Then he goes on to say it was a crown reduction written on the quote and so what I got is what is written on the paper. I mentioned how I explained to the guy what I wanted and what was executed was not what I asked for. I know at this point there wasn't a magical way to make my branches and leaves suddenly appear and he wasn't giving me any apology, so I asked if he could reduce the price instead. That's when he suddenly changed his attitude and said I only called and wanted a cheaper price and didn't want to pay the price he quoted me, so I was making this a big deal. Now, that is rude. I had 2 places give me the exact same quote, but I had gone with his service, because he did my job last time and it was fine. I am not going to call and complain and waste my energy on the phone and be blamed for making stuff up just so I can pay less. In fact, I already had a check written for the amount since I wasn't sure I would be around until completion. I mentioned to the guy who was at my house and he said I am sorry. He was a lot nicer and handled the situation better. But then he mentions to me AFTER, that he usually asks his clients if they want green or no green on their trees..... umm... you never asked me that question at the beginning! Anyways, if you don't want a headache or an owner who is rude and blames you for work that they did wrong, be my guest...go with them. I will find another trimmer in the meanwhile. read more

We needed 3 trees and stumps to be removed. The crew consisted of 2 trucks and 4 guys, impressive! They got it done in less than an hour and did a great job cleaning up. Great job, very efficient and clean. Owner is there to make sure your a satisfied with the work done.

Got an estimate from Carlos and he matched a competitors price which was a plus. The four guys came out today to remove 2 king palms n stump grind. It was all done in about an hour and a half really quick which was a place. The guys were all nice and professional. I would differently use them again. Only negative is that some of the Palm shavings weren't cleaned up but that understandable it was a large tree read more

My neighbor and I contracted to have trees removed (his was a Magnolia and mine were a Carrotwood and a big, fat Ficus). Carlos came out as arranged on a Tuesday morning and the estimate was very reasonable. After we made the choice to move forward with them Carlos said he could have a crew out in an hour or two since they were just finishing a job in HB. The crew from OC Tree Care showed up mid-day and took down two of the trees (and ground the stumps) and got much of my "Worlds Biggest Ficus" done in that single afternoon. They returned in the morning as promised and finished the job on the ficus. I spend a lot of time shopping around and making sure I get the right price and value for any services I use. I had three other services give estimates before OC Tree Care was right there among the lowest cost. I talked to Carlos for a while about the stump grinding and the cleanup, etc. and I came away satisfied with his answers. When all was done I got exactly what I expected. I am so pleased with their work that I have already recommended them to others. To Carlos and crew: Thanks for the great work! -SH read more

I am really impressed with this company. The three man crew arrived on time and tackled a huge job quickly and left my property cleaner than when they arrived. The price was reasonable and the foreman on the job was very nice and cared about my needs and concerns. I have already recommended OC Tree Care to my neighbor. I will be calling them again. Since I wrote this review, I have called them back twice one time to trim a huge hedge, take out a huge tree and stump and trim another huge tree. Today, I left a detailed msg and Carlos came out within an hour and the job was done today! The job was done quickly and looks far better than I thought possible. What's unique about these workers is they do the job with as little upset of your garden as possible and they put everything back as well. I had 3 supersize trees removed, stumps out and trailing roots were removed as well. I can honestly say that it looks like there was never any trees. They also took special care of my outdoor lighting and shielded the windows out front so they wouldn't get hit with flying wood from the chipper. These guys are amazing read more

Carlos' company has been trimming our trees for years. He and his crew are terrific! They're prompt, polite, reasonable, thorough in their clean-up. Also, they seem very knowledgeable in tree care. OC Tree Care did a great job for us 7 yrs. ago, so we called them again. I got a couple other quotes before my husband remembered their name, and OC Tree Care was competitively priced. I like that they are licensed and insured. It was a huge job to remove 2 large trees, trim 6 large trees, prune 4 fruit trees, and shape up or clear out a bunch of overgrown shrubs. They spent a day and a half on the job, listened to what I wanted done, and made sure I was happy with the job. Carlos and his crew did excellent work and we won't wait as long to call them again next time. read more

I just had this company trim my Palm Tree. They did a wonderful job. They trimmed the tree thoroughly. They cleaned up and hauled away all the trimmings. OC Tree Care came out and trimmed several large trees which had become overgrown and were touching the house. They also trimmed our cypress trees and cut down several dead fruit trees. The trimmed trees looked really healthy after the trimming, not severely over-trimmed as I have seen in other yards in the neighborhood. I was given an appointment time of 8 am-9 am for the workers to arrive. They arrived at 8 am and were all neat and polite. I was amazed at how thorough their cleanup was. OC Tree Care charged a reasonable price and they are licensed and insured, which was important to me. I would definitely use OC Tree Care again in the future, and I plan on trimming our trees regularly instead of waiting 5 years like this time. read more

Very impressed with OC Tree Care professionalism. I called for an estimate to trim four trees, plus neighbors tree branches over hanging into my yard. Carlos was very prompt the day of the estimate. We discussed what my expectations were and Carlos told me what could be done. I excepted his fair quote and scheduled the day and time for work to be performed. The day of scheduled work, Carlos and his crew arrived ten minutes early to prepare equipment to start work at schedule time - talk about being prompt! Carlos and crew did a fantastic job trimming and cleaning up. They met my expectations. We'll definitely call OC Tree Care again to trim our trees. read more
