It was my first visit to OC Eye Designs Optometry. I was greeted warmly and seen promptly. My time was clearly valued - I was "in and out" but not rushed. Dr. Wald is extremely knowledgeable - explaining clearly what was happening during each test and process. The exam was the most thorough I've ever had! read more

One of the best eye doctors I've been to. The office is super modern and trendy, the customer service is excellent, and the ease and quickness of taking care of business is absolutely great! The doctor was extremely knowledgable and seemed to really care about my eye health. The amenities and equipment are very high tech as well. Overall, I loved my experience and look forward to seeing my new eye doctors over the next few years! read more

First of all, they really pushed for me to get new RX sunglasses by saying I could get new frames for my regular glasses in a few months under my insurance plan...when it turns out that my insurance will only cover new frames every other year. So they either couldn't figure out my plan or they straight up lied in order to make a sale. Then they ordered a more expensive lens than I had asked for and then wanted me to pay significantly extra to cover their mistake. And they made me feel like I was some kind of scammer for refusing to pay for what I hadn't ordered (though the manager dropped this extra fee when she found out what the employee was asking me to do). While I was waiting for them to sort all this out, I noticed that another patron came in to pick up a pair of sunglasses and regular glasses. They had switched which lens went in each frame and then they were trying to talk him into accepting their mistake! The eye doctor is great, but the staff pulling this kind of stuff is just a horrible way to run a business. I won't be back. read more

Very professional place. Doctors make you feel very comfortable. Relaxed environment. They are super nice and have great customer service. They go above and beyond what is standard for their patients. Quick story: I was actually out of contacts (forgot to order enough) and was headed out of town with my last pair. To be safe, I called their office to see if I could run by to grab a spare pair from them, and they gave me some at no charge! If you're looking for an eye doctor in the area, this is the place to go. read more

My family and I have been Dr. Wald and OC Eye Designs' patients for over 20 years (since I was 10 years old!). I have been seen by other eye doctors at various points over the last two decades, and Dr. Wald is really the best around. Now, I even drive nearly an hour to see her for my yearly exam! She is informative, knowledgeable, kind, and available for her patients. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. I have been a happy patient for a long time, and would recommend Dr. Wald to anyone looking for an eye doctor. read more

Great office! I walked in to look at some glasses and was nicely greeted. Rolando immediately helped me.I took a long time looking and trying on many pairs of glasses, and Rolando was very professional and patient with me. He even called my insurance to verify my benefits, and gave me a follow up call to give me the status on my glasses. The office is very stylish and has a pleasant atmosphere. I've never seen the optometrist, but plan to get my next eye exam at this office. read more

Had to order more contacts lenses asap, after just realizing that I only had a few days of daily contacts left... I called and emailed them my prescription, then received my contacts just a couple of days later. I was really surprised at how it came in so quickly. And also with reasonable pricing. Thank you! :) read more

Very friendly and attentive staff. Doctors clearly explained all portions of the procedures. Easy in and out experience. Usually doctor visits give me slight anxiety, but they really put me at ease even though eye dilation is pretty uncomfortable. That's the only criticism I have actually; that big bright windows look nice, but are inconvenient when you've just had your eyes dilated. ;P read more

This is by far the best eye doctor experience I've had. The office staff, doctor and opticians are all friendly, professional and thorough. My husband and I both feel that this office has a staff that really cares about your eye health, getting you not only the right prescription, but the right glasses and make sure that they fit perfectly (even if you have to come back 3times for adjustments (like I did). I'm very happy with my glasses and this office is a huge reason why! The great service continued months after, adjustments needed and made without any issues. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Amanda Hobbs Mercer at OC Eye Designs for over two years now. The entire experience of every visit is exceptional! First of all, their facility is top-drawer in its design. All their diagnostic equipment seems very current. The staff facilitates the testing without any discomfort or hassle. Dr. Hobbs is extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She takes the time to do a thorough exam and answers all my questions. The frame offerings are quite good, and they seem to be rotating in many of the latest and most progressive styles (which I like). read more

From the very first phone call to the last, OC Eye Designs was professional and warm. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody looking for an optometrist. I came in on my lunch hour during the week and was out within an hour. I was promised my glasses within two weeks and they were ready one day early. I hope I do not need to go back for anything but if I do it will be a pleasure. I would add another star for the adorable decor, especially the turquoise desks. read more

I had a great experience at OC Eye Designs, from speaking with them on the phone to make my appointment to the eye exam itself. The office is new and all the equipment appears to be new as well. I saw Alissa Wald for my eye exam and she was very thorough and answered all my questions. Definitely the best eye exam I've ever had. I honestly went here because it was on my list of doctors that I could go to for my insurance. I also enjoyed their website, so I thought I would give it a shot. I am so happy I did. I have worn glasses since I was 11 years old, and my 1 experience here was the best experience I've ever had at any doctor. My appointment was with Dr. Mercer, and she was incredible. She explained everything in detail, did not seem like she was rushed (like most doctors), and she was simply fun. The front staff was also great. They needed to get my prescription from my glasses, and as I gave it to her, I mentioned that one of the nose pads fell off the week before, which prompted my realization that I hadn't had an eye appointment in a few years. She came back with my glasses, with brand new nose pads! That was unexpected, and started the appointment off great! The other person that was wonderful was Ahmad, the Optician who guided me through the process of choosing my new glasses. He was very professional, and really wanted to find me the perfect glasses. I was a little concerned that he was going to pick out the top 3 most expensive glasses they sold, but he did not. He picked out ones that were close to the ones I already had, and explained to me perfectly what to expect in pricing. I ended up choosing a cheaper pair and he did not try to up-sell me on a more expensive pair. He was very easy to work with. All in all, I have found my permanent eye doctor. I will recommend this office to anybody who asks. Every single employee made me feel like I was a king while I was there, and you can't ask much more then that. read more

I have had a hard time finding a pair of glasses that I felt looked right for me, and my search brought me to OC Eye Designs by the recommendation of a friend. The facility itself is very nice, modern, and staffed by very friendly associates. Renee helped me to find some glasses and showed me their large selection of well priced frames and eye wear. I am pretty picky about glasses and I tried on a ton, and Renee was very good at picking out stuff that looked nice, and she seemed very personable and friendly like the other staff I spoke with. My quest to find some glasses finally came to an end with a great pair I am really enjoying, and I can see clearly now that my friend was right about OC Eye Designs being a top choice. read more

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Wald since 1998. We have always received the best care, and feel that they are a part of our family. Thank you to everyone at OC Eye Designs for not only taking care of our family's eye health, but for caring about us on a personal level as well! Blessings to you all in this new year! read more

I have been a patient of OC Eye Designs Optometry for six years, and have always been treated with the highest level of professionalism, and the latest in technology. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable, and the customer service of the staff is 5-Star quality. I must tell you of an experience that borders on miraculous. I am a local cable TV sportscaster who was facing a very busy week of on-air appearances when my lenses cracked just one month after the warranty ended. With only one week to send my glasses out of the U.S. for repair, I thought I was doomed. Dexter worked some type of magic, and got my glasses fixed and returned to me in time for my TV duties. He also persuaded the optical company to do this miracle for FREE! No charge! Absolutely unbelievable. Having worked for 4 and 5-Star hotels for many years, I would classify this effort by Dexter as worthy of the most exceptional customer service you would receive at any of the world's finest hotels. I will continue to recommend OC Eye Designs Optometry to everyone, as the doctors and support staff are incredible. In this age of mediocre (or worse) customer service, it is always a pleasure to interact with everyone at OC Eye Designs Optometry. If you are reading this because you are in need of a new optometrist, contact them. You will NOT be disappointed, I assure you. Thank you, Dexter, you saved the day. You are truly as asset to the business, and if I were still managing in 5-Star hotels, I would try and "steal" you, for certain. read more
