I took my car in for a 30k maintenance. Inspections, synthetic oil change, oil filter change, etc etc. The drop off process was super easy and quick. The service was extremely fast. They were very honest in their dealings with me, and I appreciate them. I highly recommend Nick's Auto Service for folks in Irvine who need a quick and convenient auto maintenance provider. read more

I went in for some minor repairs. From making the appointment to drop off and pick up, the staff I interacted with were very nice and accommodating. The diagnosis and repair went well and with affordable pricing, I didn't feel like I was overcharged at all, which can be common at other repair shops. Appreciate the help and would highly recommend if you are in the Irvine area! read more

I call and got an estimate to change my tires and alignment for 250$ when I sent my tires to there location from tire rack and then took the car there he said 320$ after telling him you gave me an estimate for 250$ he said I'll give you 20 off I said fine Then he said I have to add 3.50$ fir each tire that I will recycle so your total is now 323$ Non of his numbers made sense so I simply took my tires back and took them to American tires and paid 220$ total It's not so much of the money it's the principle of how people do business read more

I was visiting Irvine from Arizona and my alternator went out the day I was supposed to drive back home. Called first thing in the morning and they squeezed me in. By 2 pm I had a new OEM alternator in my Honda Odyssey and made the drive back to Arizona with no issues. They were extremely professional and caring. Price was very fair. Now I know where to take my car any time I'm in Irvine. Would highly recommend! read more

Mason is AMAZING!! Someone at work saw my tire was a little flat so I took my American tire depot after work to get it checked out. They were kind enough to check my tires to see if it had to be filled and they saw I had a nail in it. They close at 6 and wouldn't take me so they told me to come back tomorrow but I'm not going to drive 30 miles home and 30 back! That's so dangerous. So I found Nick's auto service and I gave them a call and Mason picked up. I told him I would be there in a few min and asked if he would take me and he said yes! He was already there to greet me. I explained my situation to him and he said that they take care of people and I definitely felt taken care of! They got my tire patched and I was out very quickly. Thank you, Mason and Nick's Auto service! I will be back. read more

I been there 3 times about same issue in 7 weeks. First time I paid $160 diagnose my check engine light, and they charge me $750+ to repair.Looks like they just delete the OBD code. Then after 3 weeks, check engine light on again. So I drive back for my second visit, they charge me $160 again for "double check" and I paid $500 to "double repair" that because they said Even the same situation happened in 2 weeks but it's different thing. Fine,I trust them again. And after sencond visit 3 weeks, check engine light on a third time.I driving back, cause they promiss to give me a "free diagnosis".It's ture, they didn't charge me. Then they do nothing and told me need to back to dealer because they "can't fix it". So I paid $300 for diagnose twice and $1000 to repair nothing ,then get some advice that need to back to dealer. That's a great job. read more

Nicks was able to figure out a problem with my car that 3 other mechanics could not fix!!!! They are Great . The car was staling but only once in a while. There was no check engine light and other mechanics had tried different things that did not work!! They figured out that it was the crank angle sensor. I'm SO relieved. Thank you Nicks!!! read more

Brought my car here because it was the closest thing. They gave me a call and told me roughly $600, which went up to ~$1800 overnight and then, surprise, ~$3000 the next morning when I was expecting to pick it up. Each time led to think it would be fine. Declined the last one and they still charged me more than the agreed quote. Didn't have any confidence in them and my car friend told me they were overcharging some stuff and told me to get out of there since I was feeling pressured. Waste of money, I admit to being a dumdum to agree to anything past the initial stuff, coulda used that money toward a new car. read more

I called early in the morning hoping they can help me get an Allen wrench out of my tire before I had to go to work. They were able to take me right away, and had me out of there within 10 minutes. They even tried not to charge me! Of course I paid them anyway because of the excellent service. Highly recommend! read more

I cracked my passenger side mirror and because of supply chain issues the dealership could not get the part. Nicks auto service gave me the Adele's to find it myself online, then bring it in for them to fix it. I went in and Brandon fixed it in less than 10 minutes FOR FREE!!! It was so nice of them to do that they really didn't need to and I couldn't believe it. The dealership was going to charge me ~$100 for the parts and service. Nicks auto service saved me a lot of money, and time. Definitely not taking my car anywhere else! read more

The customer eating area is clean, welcoming, and an easy place to work while your car is being serviced. The staff is friendly & quick and kept me updated on the status of the repairs. Probably the worst place I chose for an emergency car repair... had an alternator and battery go out. First red flag: the guy at the desk accidentally hands me a receipt for a $160 dollar diagnostic. I said this seems a bit high, and he immediately says "oops, thats the wrong one." OverCharging customers on accident is a huge red flag. Then, they run diagnostic ($115) which is already way over industry average, and say that they need to replace the battery in my car. My car is a 2007 lexus es 350, and just a simple google search will tell you that $220 for a battery replacement is way too high. For the alternator + battery, they quoted $1400. $678 for labor, $370 for the parts, diagnostic fee, then the battery. Labor for alternator is demanding, but tanaka motors and greensky motors will give you the same service for $300~$400 dollars. I just don't understand why everything is overpriced here, they also kept telling me that if I start the car with the alternator shorted, it could cause a fire. I just turned it on and drove it off to another auto shop without any problems. Last but not least... they really charged me $35 to install the battery. After paying and getting to my car which had its hood open, I just lifted the battery out of my car. What did I even pay for? Why should I have to go and ask again, saying the battery isnt installed when I already paid for a completed service? TLDR; Overcharging auto shop, expect prices to be 1.5 times more expensive than the highest industry average pricing. Ripoff. read more

My car broke down on the freeway a few weeks ago. Luckily I have AAA so they towed my car to Nick's for repairs. Turns out my alternator was broken so I had to get it repaired. They also replaced my belt. It's been about 3 weeks since they've worked on my car and it runs good as new! Nick's was super thorough when they explained what was wrong with my car, and they made sure I was in the loop, communicating whenever they found something else that needed to be fixed. I would definitely return :) read more

We had an emergency and a friend recommended Nick's to us, and they promptly scheduled an appointment for diagnosis within minutes. The service was exceptional, with constant communication throughout the process. And, the actual technician, called several times to discuss what actions were recommended to remedy our situation, progress reports, and also worked directly with our warranty insurance coverage company. In addition, the owner stayed late the day of service so that we could pick our vehicle up....with start to finish being in less than 6 hours from our initial call for help. We will definitely be returning to Nick's in Irvine for service in the future. read more

Had an early morning tire problem and Nick's was just the right place to fix the problem. A simple tire patch but the extra effort to help me out while I had my two little ones in the car is what made the difference. I had tire issues and happen to be close to Nick's Auto. Brandon came out immediately to my car checked my tires while I was waiting with my daughter. I had a short window of time before I needed to pick up my daughter from Girl Scouts. He was very kind and helpful. He informed me the weather has caused the problem and put air in all my tires. As a mom with my daughter in the car, in an area not close to my home, it was very nice of Brandon to help us out very quickly and help us feel safe. read more

I called nicks auto service to have some work done on my 2020 ram 1500. Spoke with Mark over the phone to schedule an appointment and was very pleased with the amount of kindness and professionalism. After arrival I was greeted by the owner and 2 other staff members all whom were incredibly kind. They all teamed up to remove the wheels and tires that I had brought in for install and wouldn't even accept my help. My new wheels and tires were flawlessly installed and the team kindly helped me load my original set into my truck bed. Overall incredible experience I can go on about but this shop I highly recommended. I will be back this coming weekend with my other vehicle for a service. read more

A few months ago I was charged 600 to replace a spark plug. Beware they are not forthcoming with information. I felt like they don't communicate well, what happened to me could happen to you. I stopped by this auto service today at the end of the day without an upfront scheduling. Guys were very busy but super lovely. They quickly fixed my tire at no charge! I called Nick's today when another place that just does tires told me it would be a five to six hour wait to get my slow leak checked. That was unacceptable. Honest, affordable, morale, ethical, and professional. These words BEST DESCRIBE this shop and the owner. Nick has knowledge that he isn't afraid to share with others and genuinely wants to help solve your car issues. He's honest and transparent with his thoughts and isn't out to screw anyone over or lie to make a buck. He's about retaining customers for a lifetime. His honesty over the phone and the time he made for me, to call me in the evening when most shop owners wouldn't have cared, surpasses any experience i have had when it comes to dealing with car issues. I had issues with my car, and it was the dealership for over a week without a loaner. I reached out to him with a couple questions, he called me before leaving his shop to try and help me out. Gave me meticulous advice and transparency on the steps to take to find resolution. May sound silly, but I honestly cried so much after my call with him. I am a single mom of 3, and being without a car for a week has set me back immensely. For Nick to have taken the time to help me was just so incredibly needed. He has obtained a lifetime customer, and I will always refer people to his shop and his shop only. I'm so grateful to him. read more

Have been here a few times and communication has always been great. They always seem to have my best interest in mind. Highly recommend.

I have used them for multiple cars, multiple matters. It was kind of a rush so I was not able to change providers quickly enough. They offer a curious blend of stupidity and incompetence. Almost literally everything they did was a fail. From not doing things they were supposed to, doing it incompetently, and breaking stuff. After multiple fails, I went elsewhere and found not only did they not fix the part they were supposed to, they broke another part. I'm not even going back for warranty work, I'm just paying another $2k to gets it fixed correctly. read more

I found myself stuck with an unrepairable flat tire 20 minutes from home. I called multiple other auto repair/tire shops in Irvine but nobody was open. Super appreciate the great customer service and urgency to help your customers! Even though it's 20 minutes away from home, I will be back. read more

I've been to Nick's three times with both of my vehicles so far and they have never disappointed me. Today there was a slight misunderstanding on the total cost of all work to be completed. Chavez the manager came and spoke with me regarding the miscommunication and even though I was mistaken on the cost he met me halfway and provided all sorts of assistance. Ultimately I left a happy customer with great service provided. They have been honest and forthcoming with work I've needed and admittedly told me about work I don't need. Great honest shop that has my service for life. Thanks Chavez and the rest of the Nick's team! read more

Brought my Tesla Model 3 Performance here to get an alignment. Was very quick, maybe half an hour and am pleased with the job and price.

Nick and his staff do an awesome job. I have an older e350 coupe in mint condition and was tired of getting ripped off by Laguna Niguel MB. thankful to have found Nick's! He only recommends exactly what you need, and the price is 30% to 50% less than going to a stealership. I trust him and the job is done right. read more

Long story short: the steer of my car wasn't working and I had it towed to Nick's Auto Repair that was closest AAA auto repair approved. It is an old car and I told them to let me know how much was the damage. They called me back and says that it was 550 dollars to fix it. I accepted and went the day after to pick up the car. 95 dollars were Diagnose Fee. The same day the engine was steaming hot after just few miles. Brought my car to another auto repair and it turned out that the radiator is blown out too. I called them back, explaning the situation and they told me that the car was ok after they fix it. Stay away, a total ripped off! I paid 550 dollars on an old car and it was broken again the same day I got it back! read more

I took my car in to Nick's after being told by another mechanic that my car needed a new transmission which was going to cost me upwards of $5000. I was very fortunate to have been recommended Nick's auto service by a colleague of mine and decided To take my car in and have them check it out. These guys have to be the most honest mechanics I have found since I started driving more than 15 years ago. Chavez took a look at my car and figured out that all I needed was a new transmission mount which only cost me $500. Not only did they save me money, they were very upfront about what other repairs needed to be done and what could be held off until I can get around to fixing them. I had such a great experience with them that I now keep them at the top of my recommendations list And moving forward any problem that I have with any vehicle I will go to them first read more
