Yet, after paying nearly $4,000 for a re-gear service, I discovered a massive gear oil leak covering my driveway the very next morning due to an improperly secured axle. This left my driveway stained and reeking of gear oil--with professional cleaning estimates ranging from $400 to $600--and I spent the entire weekend in anxiety, questioning whether my truck was even safe to drive, and eventually having to return it on Monday, which disrupted my business. During this process, I was communicating with my assigned service advisor, but responses were often delayed, unclear, or evasive; messages went unanswered, questions were redirected, and clear answers were difficult to obtain. When I brought the truck back, it was described as "just a loose axle" and claimed fixed, yet no documentation was provided proving that the differential or internal gears were inspected after I had driven it for an hour while leaking. Their claim that "there is no problem" or "everything is fine" is something no reasonable person could trust. With re-gear work, any mistake or improper setup often only becomes apparent after several thousand miles of driving. This is why a formal guarantee is not just a request, but a necessity. When I requested a formal written warranty, they only gave me a $0 invoice with no actual warranty terms or duration. For days, I calmly requested two very reasonable things: a formal written warranty and a fair resolution for the driveway damage. I never demanded compensation for emotional distress or lost business time; I simply asked for accountability. After experiencing this, I looked through other reviews and realized that my experience was not an isolated incident. I strongly urge everyone to READ THE 1-STAR REVIEWS FIRST before coming here. You will see a chilling and habitual pattern: dodging responsibility, being 'afraid of standing behind their work,' and sneakily adding extra charges--then claiming they are unavoidable. In fact, I later realized the overcharge I experienced was just a small fraction compared to what others have reported. You will also notice that the owner's responses to negative reviews are always the same--robotic, defensive, and dismissive. They publicly ask customers to 'contact us' to give the appearance of being helpful, but it is nothing more than a deceptive marketing tactic. If they truly intended to resolve these issues, my driveway wouldn't still be stained, and I wouldn't be left with a useless $0 invoice instead of a real warranty. [UPDATE: Response to the Owner's Reply] The owner's response below is exactly what I warned about: a robotic, defensive excuse that shifts the blame. They claim a 'failed C-clip' on an aftermarket part, but as any professional knows, this is a clear sign of improper installation, not a part failure. They also claim they 'verified' no internal damage, yet they provided zero technical proof or a detailed inspection report after I drove with no oil for an hour. Mentioning a '90-day warranty' now is laughable--if that were true, why did they refuse to provide a formal written warranty when I asked for it repeatedly for days? Their response is just another marketing tactic to look responsible in public while remaining unaccountable in private. My filing with the BAR and the credit card dispute will proceed as planned.

I agreed to replace the speakers, but I was clear that the amp assessment not existing poor sound quality was the issue. The volume issue was not resolved. The system is not louder, which was the sole purpose of the visit. I would not be raising this concern about the cost with the new speakers if the volume had actually increased. I did not pay to improve sound quality, and the current sound quality is worse than before. I was charged for a solution that did not match the problem or the agreed scope of work, and the original issue remains unresolved.

Insurance was covering, so price really wasn't an issue dor me. They aren't cheap, but they do amazing work. Turn around time was laid out in front of me, and they met the goal. It was a LONG process (read 1.5 months); if I didn't have a provided rental it may have affected my rating, but I did have one. Everything with the insurance process, getting me to/from the rental location, communication with me and the adjustor, and workmanship were all top notch. Ran into some issues on first attempt at a pick up, but they rectified it with fixing the issue, as well as transportation and delivery to the Irvine location. I then had wheels installed at the performance shop in Irvine. Again, it wasn't cheap, but they met all expectations. Shout out to Issa, Luis, Josh and all the of the SSR team that worked on my vehicle. If owners of high end luxury cars and supercars trust SSR, you should to. After seeing the originals, which had significant wear and visible cracks, it was an easy decision. Throughout the process, Malek took the time to explain exactly what he was doing, the parts and materials he uses, and the proper aftercare after the service. It's clear he knows these cars inside and out, and genuinely cares about doing the job right. The results speak for themselves. The intermittent ticking is completely gone, the engine sounds fantastic, and I have much greater peace of mind knowing this important maintenance has been taken care of. What disappointed me most was that I originally thought I would be able to keep my old tire and take it home, because I believed I could patch it myself and keep it as a spare. In the end, that was not how it worked. Their used tire replacement process meant they kept my original tire and gave me another used tire in exchange. So it did not really feel like I was simply buying a used tire for $60. It felt more like I was trading in my old tire, which did not even have a hole that obvious to me, and still paying $60 on top of that. The service was done quickly, but the overall experience left me feeling less satisfied than before. Next time, I would definitely compare prices and ask more questions at a few other shops before making a decision.on the car

Since my truck was out of warranty, I wasn't sure where to turn. I reached out through Yelp and heard back from Ed almost immediately. He had a good idea of what might be wrong and invited me to bring the truck in for an assessment. After inspecting it, he identified damage (caused by rats) to the transmission wiring harness, which had unfortunately caused internal damage. He walked me through everything clearly and provided a very reasonable estimate for a full rebuild. Throughout the entire process, Ed was easy to communicate with, always professional, and genuinely helpful with his advice. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond after the repair. I was told this type damage might be covered under my comprehensive auto insurance. Ed then took the time to work directly with my insurance company--providing detailed documentation and expert insight. Because of his effort and experience, the claim was approved and the repair ended up being fully covered. That level of service is rare these days. I truly appreciate Ed's honesty, professionalism, and follow-through. He did exactly what he said he would do and then some. I wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend him to anyone in need of transmission work.

Well, I was driving on Rockfield after lunch (the Hat is the BOMB!!!) one day and I saw Wheel and Tire connection on the corner and decided to stop by. I currently have a 2008 Mercedes CLK and have been thinking about upgrading the wheels (Mercedes wheels SUCK). So I stop in, they were pretty busy, but managed to speak with Dom. He asked what I wanted to go for, how big, and my budget. After looking at a few displays and looking at some images in the computer and in catalogs I found the perfect rim. He made a few phone calls with a phone on each ear, and found the set I was looking for WITH tires included, much below what I had expected to spend. I was thinking they were going to take a few days or weeks to get there, Dom said everything would be here in within 24 hours!!! I have been to many other wheel places and they said it would take up to a week, but 24 hours!?!?!? c'mon. I asked if there was going to be a rush fee or some hidden charge involved, he said the price I gave is out the door. Then I asked him about what I read about the place on the internet about some guy named Jeff who stole a whole bunch of stuff from a major wheel manufacturer, Dom said that the place is now under new ownership since April. Then I met CJ the new owner, this guy was so cool and down to earth, I felt even more comfortable. I gladly placed my deposit and the very next day, as promised, I got everything installed during my lunch break and was totally satisfied. I would rate this place much higher in stars, but 5 is the max. Wheel and tire connection is totally legit, no matter what anyone says. I ordered 2 new tires on CarID.com they gave me the option on the site to have them shipped to an installer near me and schedule an appointment for installation. I ordered the tires on 10/31 and scheduled the appointment for Saturday 11/5 @11am at Wheel and Tire Connection 51 Auto Center Dr #16, Irvine, CA 92618. I showed up Saturday only to find out they are closed on weekends. Called the shop Monday morning and spoke with Todd, they claim they don't work with CarID and never received any tires from them. He then asked me how much I paid for them and tried to sell me another set of their own tires. Spoke with customer service at CarID and they provided me signature / proof of delivery from Todd who is the store owner and who I spoke with on the phone previously. I called the shop again today at 11am and told Todd the tires were delivered and I had proof of delivery with his signature. He basically told me it wasn't his problem and that they won't install tires that aren't their own because they aren't under warranty. He again claimed he never received them. I asked him to double check and even asked if I can swing by and pick up the tires that I already paid for to have installed elsewhere, he again says they don't have them and to basically F*ck off. The Wheel & Tire connection is holding my tires that I paid for hostage. My two front tires need replaced bad as the wires are already showing and it's dangerous especially with the current rainy conditions on the road, but they don't seem to care. Stay far away from this place and their sleazy sales tactics!!!! read more

Five-Star Review: Exceptional Service and Precision!** I recently brought my 2021 Ford F-150 in for an alignment, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The team here is super friendly, incredibly helpful, and very communicative throughout the entire process. They got me quick in and out without any unnecessary delays. As for the actual work, the precision delivered by the technician was top-notch. Looking at the final readout on **image.png**, they took the time to dial in the front-end geometry perfectly. My caster is incredibly balanced (5.4^\circ left / 5.6^\circ right) for rock-solid highway tracking, cross-camber is negligible, and they split the front toe exactly at 0.10^\circ on both sides. Even the rear thrust angle came out essentially dead zero at -0.01^\circ. The truck drives beautifully, tracks completely straight, and the steering wheel is perfectly centered. What can be sexier than a cute Asian girl driving a cute Scion with contrasting 17" after market rims? Maybe 18s but I had to think about the potholes and relative comfort of my daily ride. So I was attempting to take on that appealing and fantastical image and took a recommendation from my brother-in-law to pay these guys a visit. Being a girl, and not knowing much about wheels, rims, tires and all their varietals I immediately felt intimidated walking into the shop but was put at ease by the friendly helpful service. I told them what I wanted and they found it for me. Dom was super sweet - a real cutie. I got a set of black XXR rims with red lip, 17s and Hankook tires. I recently visited Wheel & Tire Connection in Irvine, and I couldn't be happier with the service! From start to finish, they exceeded my expectations. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain my options for new tires and wheels. They carry a wide selection of top brands, and their prices are competitive. This was my first visit to WTC, and I will definitely be going back and urging friends and family to go as well! I can't thank Andy enough for helping me with my flat tire! I was so grateful to not have someone try to overcharge me--he's fair and honest! He answered my questions, and I felt really comfortable driving out of there knowing I was taken care of. The service was really great on timing as well; I was in and out before I knew it. The space is well maintained and nice inside with a comfortable waiting area. I had a great experience at Wheel & Tire Company, While driving on the freeway, I ran over an object, and my tire pressure warning light came on. Worried about possible damage, I took my car to them. The staff was super friendly and got to my car right away. They quickly checked everything and gave me the good news that it was just a tire pressure issue--no damage at all. Best of all, they didn't charge me for their service! I really appreciate their honesty and efficiency. I'll definitely be coming back if I ever need tire repairs or service in the future. I visited this place for a full engine replacement in my 2019 VW Tiguan. They were absolutely fantastic from start to finish, even though I may have overwhelmed them with all the details. Great place to go for all your wheel and tire needs just got my Lexus IS 300 put on some nice Tein lowering springs in alignment for one good deal!!! Friendly staff good prices and great we'll selection this is the place to go if you're ever in Irvine in need of new wheels and tires!! While I was there I was treated nicely got some nice cold water and seem some expensive cars roll through there everything from Mini Coopers to Tundras and even a few Audi R8s!! I had been coming to this tire shop for decades. Even as the ownership changed over the years, I continued to bring my vehicles here. Unfortunately, my last experience was very disappointing. I was sold TPMS sensors that I later found out I didn't need, and I had to return four times to address issues, only to end up reusing my original sensors. Then, when I went to rotate my tires, I found the lug nuts had been tightened to about 160 ft-lbs, which is far beyond normal specifications. After this experience, I won't be returning. read more

When I needed brakes on my Tucson, the parts and labor were significantly less expensive than another shop I had used before, and the quality was actually better. Recently, I purchased a Mercedes-AMG C63, and before buying it, I trusted Adel to give me an honest opinion on whether it was a good car to purchase. That level of trust says a lot. After I bought it, he handled the oil change and brakes for a fraction of what the dealership would have charged. I haven't had any major repairs done there yet, so I can't speak to that personally, but based on my experience over the last three years, I wouldn't hesitate to trust V-Tech Automotive with bigger jobs if they came up. If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable mechanic who does quality work at fair prices, I highly recommend Adel and V-Tech Automotive.
