I usually always go to V-Tech for maintenance on our Honda, but we took it to a transmission specialist because of some issues shifting gears and weird lurching problems. The transmission specialist at the other shop said they needed to take it out to find out what the problem is, and needed to charge a huge diagnostic fee. They called it a tear down inspection, but I had my doubts and brought it to V-Tech for a second opinion. V-Tech found all the issues, explained it to me, and were able to fix it in 1-day. The car definitely had issues, but it turns out it was due to drive belt, timing belt, transmission oil, and air intake hose. We also had a battery causing starter issues, but we knew about that. I had a $2,500 repair done here to fix a leaking rear main seal, and the experience was extremely frustrating. I dropped my car off in October 2025 and didn't get it back until February. I was patient and gave them plenty of time, but after multiple delays and three separate visits, the issue still wasn't properly resolved. When I questioned them, I was told the "top seal wasn't changed" the first time. That's hard to understand--if the engine was already apart, why weren't all necessary components replaced during the original repair? That's what I paid for. After finally getting the car back, it started leaking again almost immediately, and they kept it for another month. Throughout the process, there were constant excuses instead of clear accountability. On top of that, the car was returned to me with new issues that weren't there before. The starter was installed without proper shimming, causing a loud grinding noise on startup. The ignition tumbler was also damaged--when I brought it up, I was told it was "just dirty," which doesn't make sense since it worked fine before. Now, after the third time picking up my car, I'm still dealing with problems. The handle for my roll-up window was glued on for some reason, and the transmission linkage/cable was not properly adjusted. On the drive home, the car was shifting hard from 1st to 2nd gear, which was not an issue before. Overall, this shop repeatedly returned my vehicle not fully repaired, introduced new problems, and insisted everything was "normal." After multiple chances, I've completely lost confidence in their work. I will not be returning and would strongly recommend others proceed with caution. read more

Rear brakes. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and talked with Taranea. I told him what was wrong with my truck and he was able to quote me a price right then and there. I felt the price for both services was great because I was going to have to auction off one of my good kidneys to pay for my services. I checked a couple of other places and they were extremely high.
