The best mechanic shop in OC. They are efficient, fast, and great prices. I have been going there for the last 6 years. Love them.

I have a few cars, Auto Mechanic Services is the shop always come to for all services for my cars. Nima is the owner and chief mechanic. He can do services from smog check, oil change, all the way to replacing the old engine with a new engine. All the maintenance jobs are great work from Nima and his team. I have done brake jobs, smog check, oil change regularly, and I will definitely recommend this place. Give them a try next time you are looking for a mechanic, ask for a quote, they have great price too! Nima is a great and honest man. read more

Went in for a smog check and everything was so quick and went smoothly! And reasonably priced!

Really amazing service! Nima was so nice and helpful. I brought my car in for a balance and alignment for my tires and it was done in less than an hour. Super clean office area to sit with a tv and coffee if you prefer to wait. Great price for the service. I'll be back for other repairs and refer people to Nima! read more

Fair pricing and reliable service. My go to place to service my high mileage Toyota Corrolla.

Most of my reviews are for restaurants and food establishments, but I was compelled to write one for AMS because of the exceptional experience I had here. I have been searching for an auto shop to fix the air conditioning compressor on my daughter's Volvo XC90. It's an expensive repair for an older vehicle, but A/C is needed in sunny So Cal. We moved to a new area so I called around to 5 different places and AMS provided the best price and also happened to be the highest rated so I decided to take it there. From the moment I spoke to the owner, Nima, I had an instinctive feeling he knew his stuff and was an upright guy. He quoted me an amount off the top of his head and didn't pressure me at all and said to just give him a call back if I wanted to do it. I called him back the next day and we scheduled a day and time. He was there to check me in and confirm the price and that he was using a brand new compressor as opposed to a remanufactured one. He called me throughout the day with updates and other findings he had. His pricing was so good, it was easy to add on some work. He called me when it was done, sooner than I thought. He showed me everything they did and even through in something I had told him I'd do myself. He didn't need to give me anything free because his prices were so good, but he did it anyway. It's these little things that make you trust a place and want to bring all your cars to him. I will be back and recommend all my friends to AMS and Nima. read more

Fast service, transparent and reasonable pricing! I had an issue with my alignment and tires, and were able to secure the order and fix it the same day. They also recommended cleaning the breaks and it actually ended up fixing a different problem I had with my front breaks occasionally making a sharp noise - a different mechanic couldn't figure out and blamed 'cheap break pads' read more

Nima is very friendly, honest, and communicative. Car ready sooner than promised and didn't recommend unnecessary services. Highly recommend this place for smog as well (they have coupons!). Will keep bringing all my cars here for service!! read more

This is the first time that I'm thinking that Yelp might consider adding the 5 star PLUS feature to its ratings. Nima is an absolute unicorn; yes, you heard it right. Reliable, honest and fair. He figured out the issue with my car in a matter of seconds; something that the dealer couldn't do after spending two hours on my car. The cost was was less than I expected and he went the extra mile to make sure that everything was fixed and safe. I highly recommend this place and guarantee an excellent experience. read more

I have being using Auto Mechanic Services for at least 5 years. I was there there last week for some repairs on my 20+ year old Honda Civic, and as always, Nima was great. He is personable, attentive, and clear with the needed (and not needed) repairs. The prices are more than fair, the service is great, and Nima is totally honest. While AMS is not really "local" for me, it is well worth the drive for such outstanding service. Over the years I have received great service and never had any issues with any of my repairs. It is not easy to find a competent and trustworthy auto repair shop and AMS is certainly that and more! I highly recommend you give them a shot when you need a repair. read more

Detail-oriented, fair pricing, honest, and they do not try to upsell you on anything that's not critical. I had my oil changed, when they noticed my serpentine belt was worn, which many others including a Lexus dealership missed, and they replaced it for a very fair price. They also topped off my oil again later for free when I noticed it was low after only 1500 miles. I also asked about a squeaking sound from the front wheel area and they advised it's common when the struts get dry, and it's expensive to replace but not necessary since it's not a safety issue. read more

I've been going to these guys for the last 4 years and have been very happy with their services. They are reasonably priced and have amazing customer service and knowledge. There have been a couple of occasions where an oil changer or tire place recommended additional services. When I took it to these guys for a second opinion, they said I still had X number of miles before these items were needed. Another time a simple fix was done instead of recommending a pricey project. Both of which saved me money. The honest feedback and explanations is why I keep coming back with all my vehicles. I highly recommend them if you want peace of mind when dealing with any auto issues or needs. read more

Fast and friendly service. Took my car in for a smog check and they had it done in about 10-15 minutes without an appointment. They noticed a belt was cracked and gave me a very reasonable quote to replace it. Didn't have time to leave it that day (was on my lunch.) When I brought it back, they honored the quote, they showed me the original belt (yep.. cracked), and had me on my way in under an hour. Seems like a family owned shop. Highly recommended. read more

Yes, highly recommended. Nima is very knowledgeable and understands value in car repair and maintenance.

I'll ALWAYS be coming here from now on! Needed new tires, alignment, oil change, new battery, brake pads, and air filters, so Aurash helped me choose the best options for my budget for each of those services. I really appreciated the transparency with pricing. All the parts came in a day after my initial inspection, and everything was done in a quick hour! Aside from the great quality of service, the staff is so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be recommending this place to others :) read more

Nima is the best mechanic I've ever dealt with. He has been very honest and never tried to rip me off.

Nima provides great service at a fair price. Have used him numerous times and would recommend.

Awesome in everything, from customer service to prices to car service! I quickly want to comment on the 1 star review before I continue to praise this place. It's not shady service, every shop is different with little things they include, or don't in their 30k, 60k, and 90k services. That's why it's always best to clarify what exactly is going to be done, at that point you add on or pass on something. I would totally recommend this shop's services to anyone who is looking for great service, GOOD prices and great attitudes. I was referred to them and came with a bad feel for mechanics. It took a bit, but that feeling is fading. They show me things of concern and explain everything to me, even answer my many questions. I had my car towed there because it wouldn't start, after talking with them, Nima knew the issue, and with a quick fix and no charge, I was on my. A previous review by Andrew M. says it perfectly, but I'll say it again, this is an EXCELLENT place all around, and I can't recommend them enough, you won't be sorry! Thank you guys, you're awesome! read more

Nima and his crew are great. I am mechanical and fairly knowledgeable about cars so I ask a lot of questions and they show me what's going on in an honest fashion. I am so happy with their services and communication that I refer many friends to them with confidence. There is no surprise why their reviews are so good, Nima is simply a great guy that wants to do the right thing. Thank you AMS for raising the bar in auto care. read more

Can't say enough about the great service I've received for my car early this month. The owner, Nima is a great mechanic in addition to being a super detail oriented and a thorough master of his job. He got my car in an extremely bad situation, I had an awful accident. He repaired my car in a timely manner, and I was comfortable to trust his professionalism fully and unconditionally. During the days of the car repair, he always kept me updated on the status of the car and I received my car fully repaired, like new. I would totally recommend this shop's services to anyone who appreciates great service with a great attitude. read more

I have been a customer for perhaps 5-6 years now. After my first visit I was thrilled to have found them. Aurash and Nima are top notch. I have always been treated like a truly valued customer. Their pricing is very reasonable and the service exceptional. I drive about 20 minutes past numerous other repair shops to come here because of the service and rates. On rare occasions i have had an issue (not with the service but with a part going bad), and they respond immediately. I always call to see how busy they are to be sure they can check out my car. Rarely, I am informed they are busy and would the next day be okay. I really appreciate that they are upfront so that I do not spend too much time waiting for the car. Oh yes, the wait...well they have always gotten my repairs done in a very timely fashion, in fact usually much sooner than I anticipated. I do bring bring plenty of work and stuff to keep me entertained, but the wait is never all that long. I really like these guys even though I hope not to see them that often. But when I need them I am really pleased they are there!! If you are looking for professional, skilled, honest, reasonable, personable (need i go on??) mechanics you have found them. read more

I found this auto mechanic through a Value Pak coupon that I received in the mail. I needed a smog check and the coupon I received was for a discount on a smog check. I wound up paying thirty dollars verses thirty eight I would have paid at my usual Smog check location. Auto Mechanic Services was prompt, courteous and professional and I will take my car to them again in the future. They even noticed and brought to my attention that my tires needed to be replaced for safety reasons. I would highly recommend this automotive business. read more
