Wow!! Extremely generous and kind! Rear seatbelt got tangled and locked with a child car seat. AUDI dealership quoted me over $400 to fix. $400?!?! Refused to pay that absurd price so called around local shops. Foothill Auto Service was super kind on the phone and asked I bring the car in to see if they could fix and schedule an appointment. They were confident it would not be $400. Took the car in and to my surprise they fixed within a few minutes and did not charge me a dime! Hard to find businesses of this kind now days. This place is way over priced and too much smooth talking to up your bill. I had a minor oil leak and the suggestion was oil dye (amazon for 25 bucks) and a pressure wash. The bill was over $300. That's absurd. Ill be going elsewhere in the future. read more

Five stars aren't enough for Foothill. I brought my dear 2002 Chevy Tahoe in to Foothill Auto Service after the OC Chevy dealership I'd been taking it to declared it too "classic" for them to work on any more. I found in Foothill a caring, capable and professional team. I have nothing but love for these guys. They provided us with there-and-back shuttle service. Their quarterly oil-change service left me sailing comfortably past 245k miles recently. This beauty drives as well as the day we bought it in 2006. God bless them. The Big Orange Chevy dealership quoted me $1,200 to investigate an A/C problem I had--the back vents weren't working. They said it was probably the blower unit but they would have to get into all the paneling in the rear to access the blower and it would be a whole thing. That quote wasn't for any replacement unit or repair--just the investigation. Foothill could easily tell it was a rear blower fault. They delivered a new blower and installed it altogether for just about half of the dealership's "investigation" fee. Check out their warranty. They mean it. I feel very comfortable with my beloved 5.3 small block in their hands. I highly recommend this shop. read more

My daughter came to this establishment to get some repairs done to her 2008 Toyota RAV4. Very old car with over 260k miles. We had a disagreement with the repairs that have already been made and have been authorized by my daughter. As parents we felt the car shouldn't be fixed and it should retire. But like I said ... repairs have already been done. The owner Glen and manager Tim took my disagreement and disappointment to heart and they ended up taking very good care of my daughter (and me). Very huge surprise considering in my experience, most auto shops don't value what people say. I originally was very upset, but now I am very impressed with how this auto shop handled the disagreement. I also would like to add - the repairs and the turn around time was not in questioned. They did a great job with that. They had the car for less than a day and it was already completed next day. The disagreement was over a very big miscommunication. Let me start out by saying this is one of the least stressful and kindest experiences I've had taking my car in for repairs. I called in at 9am because my car was having an issue that we assumed was the alternator. Byron said he could get my car in within the hour and run a full diagnostic to make sure everything was running right and it was safe to be on the road. The diagnostic was about $170, with photos and detailed notes of any issues found. They didn't try to up charge me or oversell me on any of the issues. They were very honest and upfront about what was wrong and let me choose what I wanted to get done with quotes for service. They shuttled me back and forth to my home for no extra fee and the shuttle driver was kind and polite as well. While this may be a little pricey, I appreciated how professional and patient everyone I met was. read more

I've been a customer for close to 15 years and Glenn has been wonderful over the years, in fact I left a great review in 2008. We've recommended many to come here and brought all of our cars for service. Unfortunately as more employees have joined on, policies seem to have changed. I took my car in because the engine light came on and asked to do an oil change and make sure all was good. All was good with the car and they found the gas cap was not tightened properly and no other issue with the engine. The problem was that I was charged $459 after all was said and done. I understand they have an inspection fee but I would think it's unreasonable to be charged this much when nothing was wrong with the car. I can no longer come here as they've seem to have lost the special care Glenn put into each visit that kept bringing me back. read more

Took my car for a diagnosis for a check engine light for my Jeep wrangler. It was showing a misfire and I had code 302 showing. They were going to charge me about $2500 total for new spark plugs and a visual inspection of the cam shaft and compression test. I changed the spark plugs, coil for that cylinder, and fuel injector for under 300$ and about 6 hours of my time. That estimate hadn't even accounted for coil and fuel injector replacement. read more

Fantastic services team.everyone from service writer to technicians were all professional Personable and helpful.

The one star is for the $213 diagnostics and a $4000+ estimate for a new alternator and radiator for our diesel '15 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD.  My husband asked for more detail, as the cost sounded high - it was.  He compared the cost of the parts with the cost from the dealer, and the dealer's cost was much cheaper.  The estimate from the dealer to replace the radiator and alternator was $1000 less than Foothill. I did a some Yelp research, and we ended up going to a local mechanic we'd never used before. They replaced the alternator and the radiator for a total of $2243, almost $2000 less than Foothill. Moral of the story, shop around - and check my other reviews for our GREAT new mechanic. read more

Brian over at Foothill Auto was great. He got me in with no advanced notice and was willing to look at my Honda Odyssey, even though he had a full day of vehicles to work on. I had to miss a day of work because of my vehicle. Brian was accommodating so that I wouldn't miss any more work. His tech fixed the issues. I left with my van working well. Had an additional situation that caused me to bring it back the next day. There was some discussion of who's fault it was but, graciously, Brian and Glenn fixed the issue with no cost to me! I tried to get a price quote over the phone on an oil change and the response was "I don't have time to give a quote over the phone" and was told to check online to see what pricing should be offered in the area.
