Food and drinks are amazing! The steak and cake is our favorite dish, but I tried the scallops this time and they were delicious.

Went here for Sunday brunch. Had heard good things about this place but had never been. After the meal was over we could not figure out why we waited so long to eat here. The breakfast was delicious and the biscuits were phenomenal. We will be going back here and soon. read more

Great food and great drinks. Pretty much any bourbon you can think of was available to sip. Check out the pork belly tacos. You won't regret it. Just make sure you book a reservation ahead because they do get busy. read more

First, I'd like to say that the experience was phenomenal from the reservation desk to the bar/wait staff. We had to call to change our time on our reservation due to a delayed flight in and Civic, our hostess was extremely gracious from the phone call to actually arriving at the restaurant. The bar staff made wonderful drink suggestions and our food was amazing. Halibut and the Chicken in Country Biscuits and the house Old Grandad Manhattan, barrell aged on site. Don't miss this gem! read more

Shout to Truman for service & care for making it a good dinner. The steak was okay. There was a marinade they used that I don't particularly care. However, they cooked it really good. read more

Perfect every time! The environment the food the service! Have never had a bad experience

Atmosphere is phenomenal. Went there for Mother's Day and the brunch was out of this world.

10/10 this is the best place my s/o and I have gone for brunch in Lexington. Food, aesthetics, service, all GREAT! Only thing to be aware of is that cocktails aren't served until 11am :) read more

Had dinner here. Most of the food was good, but I'm not sure if I would consider it worth the price-- EXCEPT for the mushroom steak! I absolutely loved the steak. We ate at the full-service bar because it was a long wait for a table. We still had good service. We want to come back sometime to get an appetizer and some drinks. And maybe another steak ;) read more

My fiancé and I went to OBC on my birthday. We ordered the steaks which we could hardly cut. I just about flipped my plate off the table trying to cut it. The bartender spilled a beer on my fiancé, he ended up getting his beer free. We sat at the bar so I know the guy who waited on us saw that we didn't eat our steaks. The steaks were $62.00 a piece and then our side items and my drinks ( his beer was free) was around $250. We paid for them. Another thing, I told them it was my birthday, I would of thought they would have a free dessert. Especially with the prices of the food. But no. To say the least we were disappointed and we have put OBC on our list of places that we won't be returning to. read more

The bacon appetizer and smoked Mac and cheese were delicious! We weren't super hungry but shared these two dishes along with a couple happy hour old fashioneds and were well satisfied. I've forgotten our server's name unfortunately but she was great! Fun vibe as well! read more

Awesome place good service , nice view and friendly employees will definitely come back love this place

delicious food and cocktails. Fabulous service. Ask for Conner!! Horseradish salmon .

I hadn't been to OBC Kitchen in yeeeeeears, but my boyfriend surprised me with a little happy hour trip there on Valentine's Day afternoon. And now I'm a bigger fan than I was initially. Their happy hour is the best kept secret in Lexington, well, not anymore! On Friday from 4-6 they have a FANTASTIC list of $5 cocktails, beers, and wine, and in our case it was freezing outside so they also made mulled wine. We arrived right at 4:00 and not long after they started bring around FREE bar bites! They always bring out the bacon and peanut butter, but rotate the other two each week, so we sampled hush puppies with corn and shrimp and chocolate covered strawberries. Appropriate for the holiday! We spoke to the head bartender, a guy named Ivy, for the majority of our visit and he was super nice. I just can't say enough good things. I'll be back for a BRUNCH very soon! read more

Great atmosphere, but not too loud. Business dinner for 3 and we could all hear each other during discussion. Food was excellent and the waitstaff recommended a few options since this was our first time. The drink menu is extensive. Had an old fashioned made with their own small barrel bourbon - the drink has a name, but can't remember for the life of me. Was the smoothest I've ever had. Can't wait to go again if I'm ever in Lexington. read more

We went tonight for the first time! It is an incredible experience! Our server, Conner Flynn, was so informative and he went above and beyond! We love him and our drinks were so good and food was delicious. We felt right at home!!! read more

Food with flair, upscale ambiance. I find much of their menu starts with a foundation based on comfort staples - shrimp & grits, french dip sandwich, chicken with biscuits. But each item also has a bit of OBC's own twist, making the food exciting and crave-able. Drinks are crafted with care. I appreciate the mix of shareable small plates and main course options. The variety at OBC certainly sets is apart from most other restaurants in town. read more

OBC Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants in the Lexington area - on our last trip to KY, we went twice! Great food, wonderful service - definitely will be back the next time we are in KY! read more

OBC Kitchen is one of the places that you want to try if you are new to the world of bourbon. They have a huge selection and knowledgeable bartenders who can walk you through the tastes and information about the various bourbons. Also, for the less non-aficionados, there are some great craft bourbon cocktails available. My favorite way to eat at OBC is to order a bunch of appetizers because they have so many good ones. The bacon with peanut butter sounds weird, but it's really good. Also, rib meat tacos are one of my favs. Tons of parking available in a cute shopping center full of boutiques, so do a little shopping and then head in for a bourbon and a bite. read more

OBC is a place we have wanted to try but just hadn't made it to yet . Well last night we did and it was spot on! Appetizers were great we had the bacon and peanut butter sauce, fried oysters, crab bake and shrimp and toast lol table of 6 . There drink menu is very well done and everyone's favorite bourbon! The main course was perfect and so was the service, even got a little thank you call this afternoon from one of the staff . I added a few pics of the main dishes sorry about the starter pics maybe next time and there will be a next time soon ! Enjoy read more

Had a fantastic meal at OBC tonight while visiting from out of town. Our server explained the menu, took care of us and was a pleasure. We had the salmon kale, the cous cous salad with chicken and the donuts with two outstanding craft cocktails. The overall restaurant feel was upscale Kentucky bar. We will be back on our next visit!! read more

Only had 2 things on menu I could eat. I was in a conversation with friend and waiter joined in to correct me on my point of view.

It had been awhile since I'd been to OBC Kitchen and it didn't disappoint! Service was excellent and we enjoyed the extra privacy that came with sitting in the "cubby hole" near the front door. Food and drinks were delicious as always! read more

A wonderful brunch dining outside enjoying the fall weather. We had excellent service and everything from the adorable place settings to the delicious food led to the perfect Sunday brunch. I had the bacon and pimento cheese omelet and they did a side of fresh fruit instead of potatoes which were not GF. This omelet was to die for and huge. I could not eat it all but I wanted to!! My family enjoyed the homemade biscuits and honey butter but no GF options as a FYI. Their menu is clearly labeled for the GF options and the wait staff was very knowledgeable. read more

I've been frequenting OBC since they opened and I think they are the best craft cocktail bar in town. The "Rock" their take on the popular Old Fashion is one of, if not the best cocktail you will ever have. The short rib tacos and Quinoa salad with grilled Salmon are my favorites. But getting the alcohol and food right is just part of what makes a good bar. Having bar tenders that are friendly and conversationally with everyone is also important. Highly recommend OBC. read more

Stopped in at OBC Kitchen for brunch today. The restaurant decor was cool, especially the illuminated bar with a sliding ladder. Service was good! I really liked that they had iPad menus with pictures. Drinks were good! My husband got a seasonal old fashioned, and he really enjoyed it. The biscuits that came out at the beginning were great. My husband got fried chicken biscuits, which he loved. I got the Belgium waffle, and it was just okay. It came tons of whipped cream, but only a total of FOUR raspberries, haha! The applewood smoked bacon that came with it was delicious, but the breakfast potatoes were rubbery and didn't taste fresh. I didn't finish them. Overall the food, service, and experience were good. Would definitely come back! read more

OBC is always great for a nice date night or a celebration. The food is a bit expensive, but it's delicious and the portion sizes are more than reasonable for this type of restaurant. I've always had leftovers the next day (my server recommended putting a fried egg on top of the shrimp and grits and it was amazing). I highly recommend getting the bacon in a glass as a dessert, rather than as an appetizer - the honey and peanut butter make it so sweet that it's really better as something to finish your meal instead of start it. read more

This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! Everything is scratched made!! You can totally tell they take pride in the food and drinks at OBC. For an appetizer we split the bacon/peanut butter, it was so good I forgot to take a photo. As for dinner I had the salmon quinoa salad it was amazing! My husband had the tacos and he really liked them! We sat at the bar on a Thursday night and the service was great. Aften was our bartender and she was so knowledgeable of the food, drinks, and conversation on what we could do locally while visiting this lovely city. We were thankful to have met her! Good food, great drinks! Their bourbon selection was equally amazing to their cocktails.

If you are on a Keto diet- NOT the place you want to eat food. All the food had some sort of carb or sugared item in each meal. Now- if you are willing to not be in ketosis for a day and enjoy a good meal- definitely try it out- their food is definitely tasty. Just be aware- this is not a place for people on a keto diet. read more

Had dinner at OBC while in town on business. I loved the ambiance and decorations inside, well styled and decorated. Waitstaff were very nice and provided iPads with pics and descriptions of all menu selections served, which was cool and helpful when picking something for dinner. I tried the Icelandic Cod which I greatly enjoyed. The sauce had some kick, which I welcomed and the zucchini spirals were cooked well, not mushy. My colleague had chicken in biscuits and said it tasted pretty good. Overall a nice dining experience. Did not try dessert or drinks, but the selections looked interesting and I have no doubt they are tasty too. read more
