Such a fun little neighborhood bar where everybody knows your name! Lol. The bartenders are fantastic!! They had a guitarist playing the night that we went and he was really good. Yes, it's a very small place but very inviting, everyone was super friendly and we had a great time. The food is so so good. Very cool dive. They only had two people on Sunday afternoon and a pretty good crowd. It's hard to find help these days. They warned us the service would be slow, which I greatly appreciated. We chose to stay and wait. We came because we heard they have great burgers. I liked the burger but it was not exciting to me in any way. We all truly enjoyed their hand-cut fries and Aaron was cool. I enjoyed the egg roll and sweet and sour sauce. It was different and delicious. My son had the Dynamite Dog wrapped in bacon and deep fried. He really enjoyed it. A nice hole in the wall bar and grill with good food. The menu is simple, and it works! They focused on their strengths and everything was well-executed. We had the Eekie Beekie burger and the BBQ Bourbon burger (both with fries), as well as the egg rolls. The burgers were perfectly cooked and delicious. The French fries were fresh and perfectly crisp and seasoned. The egg rolls were very good, as well. The service was great; the bar tenders were quick to get us menus, refills, and food. The chairs at the bar top tables were a bit uncomfortable, but it was still a good experience. read more

This was a good burger. I went for lunch on a Monday and was pleased to see they had customers but weren't overwhelmed at all. Two folks on the grill and food and Timmy taking orders and making drinks. Friendly and attentive staff that made me feel welcome. I got the Eekie Beekie Burger with tots. The tots are tots and were what I expected. Thick burger patty with cheese, bacon, fried egg. The cheese was as melted as it could be, and dripped onto the paper in the basket when I first picked up the burger. Fine by me. Scoop it up on a tot! The burger was cooked well-done so a bit dry. I prefer medium with some juice. Bad on them for not asking, bad on me for not telling. I'll ask them to take it off the grill a little sooner next time. But I could taste all the flavors. Buttery, bacony, fried-egg goodness. I'll give the mushroom and Swiss burger a try the next time I'm in the area at lunchtime. In addition to fries, they have other interesting options for sides: chicken taquitos or an egg roll. These are frozen items deep fried. Look... it's a neighborhood bar in a strip center with friendly people trying to make a living. The decent selection of liquor sitting around, over, and under a beer tap. Bathrooms clean-ish. But it is not well kept up. Ceiling tile above the grill about to fall in, others in need of repair. Clean but unkempt. It's a dive bar with good food and nice people. I had been craving a really juicy burger and they hit the spot. I also ordered their rendition of an amaretto sour and it was the best one I've ever had! Where to begin... walked in the door and expressed I'd seen this place on Lexington Foodies social media. Guy behind the bar in the blue court jester hat started haggling me. His first words were I hate that stuff, now it's gonna be slammed. As if a business, especially a food business wants and needs word of mouth, in my opinion the best kind of advertising. I won't drill down here, the burgers were mere average. The beers like warm and the poor little waitress was so far in the weeds she got lost. When I payed my bill I thought about the tip here, I basically did everything myself in the place but cook the burger. I will give props to the egg rolls. Very good. But for gosh sakes take a play from south of Wrigley and prep for the day ahead of time and if you need to limit out do so. Don't prep on the darn counter in front of customers it was not a good look. I'll never go back for a second round as the gentleman who attended the place made sure of that but I do thank him for that.
