We stopped here on our recent trip to Lexington. It was the only brewery we could find that had live music and also a super awesome menu as well as outdoor seating. They are very friendly with their service and give you very generous free samples of their beers on tap. They have a large alcohol menu as well as pizza and some sandwiches and appetizers. They have TWO buildings and a super nice outdoor seating area that is perfect for a late night hang out. This place rocks - I highly recommend! read more

I've visited this place several times before and usually had a great experience, so this visit was honestly shocking. Apparently the restaurant has decided to try out a new concept called "Fine Dining: Survivor Edition." The tables sat covered in dirty dishes long enough to qualify as permanent decor, and our food took so long I considered filing a missing persons report. When it finally arrived, it was cold. Not "could use a quick reheat" cold -- I mean "the marinara sauce had the temperature and emotional warmth of an iceberg" cold. The loaded potatoes were overcooked with about three toppings sprinkled on top like they were rationing cheese during wartime. The pizza? Floppy, bland, and somehow both soggy and dry at the same time. Truly impressive. And the chicken parmesan sandwich was just confusing. The bread was actually great, which made it even sadder that the chicken itself was dry and somehow NOT fried. A chicken parmesan sandwich without crispy chicken feels like someone forgot the assignment halfway through. The restaurant may be dog friendly, but after sniffing the leftovers we brought home, even the dogs seemed personally offended. This place used to be one of my favorites, which makes this even more disappointing. Hoping this was just an off night because right now the quality has left the building faster than our server did. read more

Gotta be honest with you...meh. I was a little disappointed. I'll start with the beers. I tried the Old Reliable and the White Girl Wasted. Not much flavor in either one. Hate to say it, as it's local, but I'd much rather knock back a Budweiser. And I never even drink Budweiser. Tried the Margherita pizza. I really liked the wood fired crust. Super tender with a wood fired flavor to it. But the pizza overall was quite bland. And, with tax, it was pushing twenty dollars. That's an Andrew Jackson for a pizza not much bigger than the size of my hand. They have to be pulling fifteen dollar margins on that small pizza. You're not gonna feed a family of four in here without it hurting. And that's just odd to me when we're talking pizza. I really like what they did to the place. Sharp looking inside. But the service ain't really that great, especially when you consider the prices. And it attracts a certain white collar, hipster clientele. Not that there's anything wrong with that but that's the feel. It's not a place you're going to go after you just plumbed a house. It just doesn't have that blue collar feel to it that some breweries do, and I kinda left wishing it did. But hey, what do I know? Place is popular. I hope it's successful in this expansion location. Before I went there, I asked my neighbor what he thought of it when I saw him walking back from the place with a box. He said, in two words, "It's expensive." That's it. All he told me. So, I'll leave you with that. read more

We had our business meeting for lunch yesterday at Mirror Twin. There were 6 in our group. 3 of our group had the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwiches. We also ordered a Gluten Free Bourbon BBQ Chicken Pizza and a Honey Garlic Chicken Pizza. The food took about 30 minutes, which was fine, since we were conducting our meeting anyway. Everyone enjoyed the food. I also tried the Vernal Equinox which is a nice crisp beer that will be a good one for the warm weather. read more

We shared a $40 pizza and a hot caprese sandwich. Service was normal. Ordering was easy from the QR code. Very long line at the bar at 6pm on a Saturday. Patio was well shaded but very noisy read more

Super friendly bartenders... very welcoming to a couple outsiders "passing through." It was crowded... a good sign. Wife had a peanut butter stout. I took a sip and it was very good. I had a very tasty hef, followed by a not-too-hoppy IPA. Great craft brewery! I'm glad we stopped by! read more

Wow! In town for a concert, had a bit of time to kill. Hadn't even heard of Mirror Twin Brewing . We tried 5 beers in a flight, a couple of which I consider novelty beers - I wasn't really expecting a beer that tastes like French Toast to be a good beer. All 5 beers were very well done. Their experimental / seasonal side of the list is absolutely worth exploring. I didn't catch the guy behind the bar, who just referred to himself as 'the hillbilly', but he was awesome, and made our visit even better. A friend got a sandwich from the in-house restaurant and said it great as well. I'm not in Lexington often, but this place is on my list of spots I'd go back to! read more

Always love a visit to Mirror Twin! Great service from friendly staff at every visit. Love the wife selection of drink options. Rolling oven pizza is an added bonus too. Indoor and outdoor space means the perfect vibes for you and your friends. read more

3/15/25 First time here as we came for our date night out. With the pouring rain, it wasn't as busy as Google said it would be based of the reviews. We ordered a variety flight of beers to try, and ordered a pizza from rolling oven. There were st Patrick's day speciality drinks, some slushy options. But the downfall is you can't try any before you buy them like you can with beer. So that's a bummer since the slushy drink we got was just way too sweet and not that good. We got the green gummy bear, maybe next time I'll stick to just the beer. I did enjoy the various IPA's and my husband was disappointed as there weren't much Pilsner options. Overall this place is nice and big, and would be great for large groups. read more

Ventured to this establishment on Sunday 3/16/25 with a group of 8 for their Music Trivia night. This was my first time in the business. They have two different buildings which have an outdoor patio (with covered tables) in the center. Very spacious, both indoors and outdoors. I ordered a Sprite and the remainder of my party tried the "Green Beer" for St. Patrick's Day and the various Ciders they offer. All parties enjoyed their drinks. The remainder of my party also ordered cheese pizza and double fire roasted potato skins and loved it all. Sharon was the main staff person who assisted us during our time at the establishment and she was stellar! Super nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Had a great time playing the music trivia with friends. Highly recommend for large groups, small groups, or individuals alike! read more

My pizza was blackened and burned to a crisp. I paid $30 for a pizza that took over 75 minutes to receive. Once received, it was so charred, the only flavor was bitter ash. Bummer. read more

Great beer and great staff. But it is another shrieking baby day in the old Mirror Twin day-care and doggy kennel. Bring your ear plugs.

I always love going to mirror twin brewing but this was my first time going to the annex which is just as good as the main space and great event space and they can hold up to 200 people! read more

Beer was drinkable. Nothing stellar. The Oregon Pale needed more hop aroma. The Hazy But Lazy NEIPA should not have put "lazy" in the name, because they just gave me a perfect word to describe the effort seemingly put into it. The pizza was edible, but honestly, it reminded me of a very cheap frozen pizza that I would cook for my son when he was 8. The crust had that same bubbly, crackly consistency of a Totinos from Walmart. One slice of a small was all I could bring myself to eat, and I was VERY hungry. The ambience was fine. There was plenty of room to spread out, outside. The staff was friendly enough. read more

Mirror Twin Brewing - Breweries Near Me - Lexington, Kentucky

Great place for beer, cider and ale. The food is furnished by a separate company under the same roof (Rolling Oven) and I'm not going to comment on them. Mirror Twin has two separate customer locations with a patio between. One has 20 taps and specializes in brews, while the other has 16 and tends to serve more cocktails along with brews. Staff are extremely nice, knowledgeable and attentive. Lots of TVs focused on sports. Not too loud, except when full of people. read more

The beer is really good! The food is, too! The people working there are always pleasant in my experience. The wings... damn. They're cooked in the same style oven they use for pizza... the big domes. Fall off the bone. The potato skins. A meal. The arugula salad. Sure. Eat healthy at a brewery. Why not! There are three different buildings and they each have their own vibe. The first one is the original brewery. It is ... a brewery. With a pizza place. Dogs, babies, humans, all welcome. You get beer and pizza there. The second... more like a casual restaurant/bar. Sometimes there are servers, I think. But the menu has more selection and they serve wine and spirits. No dogs, but babies allowed. The 3rd building housed their meadery which they've sadly closed. But they still have some mead left. Go drink some. It's good. I hear they're going to do new things in this space. Oh, and, there's a huge outdoor space with tents for shade and shelter. And, you can order any of the food in any of the spaces and they'll bring it to you. It's a fun, thriving business and you should go there. Cheers! read more

Lots of seating. Parking can be tough to find on weekends but usually are able to get a spot. Great variety of beers to choose from. Pizza is good but not huge portions. Appetizers are tasty. Definitely a good spot to get drinks with friends and play games or chat. Staff is attentive and friendly. read more

We were looking for a place for food and beer and this checked both of those boxes. We ordered our beers and pizza at the counter. They weren't particularly friendly when we asked about the beer options, but the beers were tasty! I later learned when I went to the Red River Gorge that Mirror Twin is one of the main breweries in the area that has high quality IPAs. And indeed I did enjoy the IPA. The pizzas have interesting toppings - lots of different meat and starch options on the pizzas. My friend had the wings and she said they were easily one of the best wings that she's ever had - great flavor and very tender. read more

My favorite brewery out of the 7 we visited in Lexington! This place is huge with 2 separate buildings and a large outdoor area in between. They have a full bar in the 2nd building as well as food out of both buildings. The food was decent but the beer is the main reason for my visit to any brewery. They had 20 beers on tap in the main taproom as well as the same + a few additional in the 2nd building. All the IPA's I tried (which was all of them) were good & some were great. Hazy but Lazy and Turnin Heads were my favorites. We stopped back in for a 2nd visit later in our trip. Highly recommend. read more

Really lively brewery with a lot of fun beer options as well as other fun cocktails! The pizza is give 3.5/5 but it does the trick if you're looking for something to have alongside your drink. I'm not a huge beer fan so I ordered a blueberry smash (a vodka based cocktail) and it was really lovely! Given that it was trivia night when my friends and I went, it was quite loud and the service took a bit long. However, we all had a good time and will likely come back again! read more

First time visiting. Nice Friday night atmosphere. Bartenders were great! Also ordered pizza from Rolling Oven.. 3 snaps in a circle. Had a couple of champagne Rita's, a slush and an apple ale. Exceptionally tasty beer! A friend and I stopped in one Sunday afternoon on the way back to Louisville from Cumberland Falls. We were eager for a break in our drive for food and drink and stretching our legs. Mirror Twin has been on my radar for a while and the day had finally come for me to visit them. Pandemic restrictions were starting to lift, but people were still wearing masks when leaving their tables, and indoor seating was nicely spread out. They have a nice amount of outdoor seating outside in between the two buildings of the brewery. A flight comes with 5 choices of beer. They have a broad variety of beer types, with fun and funny names. Topical, local, just an extra smile on top of it all. The beers I chose to sample were You Me and Mr OB, Cherry On My Wayward Son, Don't Put Gasoline in Bags, Slim Shandy, and Bee Sting. They were all great! Which is not something I can usually say about a place. There aren't usually 5 different beers that are basically perfect for my palate and taste preferences. I felt confident in bringing home a four pack of a beer I didn't get to try, because the other ones I did get to try were exactly what I wanted them to taste like! It did not disappoint! And any beer under, I believe, 8% ABV can be canned and sold for carry out individually. I brought a LOT of beer home with me... Mirror Twin alone is worth a visit to Lexington! I wish they were closer to me, but I cannot wait to return! read more

Beer was great, good variety. They had soda as well for those nondrinkers and awesome bloody Marys. The pizza was good, slight spice kick sauce, cooked perfectly. The friends raved about french toast with Bourbon maple syrup. Parking was a pain as 1/2 the lot was under water during the rain and some deep ditches. Stopped in last weekend and the place was super busy, but there's tons of space so we quickly found a tables. There's two sides to the brewery, so if there isn't seating on one side, head outside and cross the courtyard to the other side. I didn't get to try a lot of the beer, but the pizza was fantastic. Personally, I think it's a bit pricey at $28 a pie and you could likely find pizza equally as good for half the cost, but the atmosphere and beer selection makes up for it. There's a huge parking lot on the side of the building, so easy parking options. read more

Really good beer and lots of seating both indoor and out. There is some food on site, Rolling Oven I believe. We ordered a flight of beer: Red Blooded American - Pretty good red Ale, a little lighter than normal red Ales in my opinion but easy to drink. Ds Nutty Brown Ale - definitely a food nutty flavor and aptly named. Not heavy at all and quite good. You, Me & Mr. PB - great peanut butter flavor and also pretty easy to drink. Porchata - my favorite out of the 4, definitely tastes like a rumchata in beer form. Definitely recommend. Food on site was good, we ordered a pizza and prosciutto wrapped Asparagus. Cool spot and would recommend. They have slushees here too. We had a sour apple slushee that kind of tastes like an apple holy rancher. read more

May be the best pizza in Lexington! A unique idea - two bars across from each other with many beers to choose from on both sides and a full bar on one side. The make oven fresh pizzas which are very good. Think crispy crust. There's plenty of table space indoors and outdoors and it is dog friendly which is a huge bonus. Great for small intimate get togethers or large parties. Even great for a quick beer after work. Definitely worth checking out! read more

This is a really cool brewery that is fairly new to the area. They've got two buildings. If you're staring at both of them from across the street, the one on the left is the restaurant where they serve brunch. The one on the right also has pizza, but has all the brews and is dog-friendly. We ordered our breakfast pizzas at the one on the left and then they brought it out to us as we sipped on some beer in the taproom. My friends for the potato, chorizo, and egg pizza, honey ham pizza, and I got the maple bacon pizza. They all looked the same, presentation-wise, but it all tasted unique and very good! Staff was amazing as well! I got You, Me, and Mr. PB. It's a wonderful stout with a slight taste of peanut butter. My sister got the Hop Tart, a sour. Water is free. Prices were great! You can watch games here, so we watched a bit of the Ohio State game while we sat. It's family-friendly which is cool. It's also very low-key here, but we came during the day and it was pretty tame. They've got women's and men's bathrooms. There's a parking lot in between the buildings, but there's also lots of parallel parking around here. read more

We loved this brewery! There are 2 buildings and a very nice patio in the middle. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a few beers, the D's Nutty Brown Ale, Whatever You Want Wheat, and the Red Blooded American. All were fantastic. Our daughter got the Watermelon Moscato slushee and said it was really good too. They have a good selection of appetizers, sandwiches, and wood fired pizzas, but we didn't have time to eat there. Maybe next time! There were a lot of families with young kids there having a good time. All of the bartenders were very nice. read more
