Gorgeous little spot! I had the beat burrata salad and it was incredibly tasty, light, and refreshing. By far one of my favorite salads. The ceviche was pretty solid! Made a reservation for 8 on a Saturday for a friend's birthday. The hostess had asked if we were celebrating anything special and to my pleasant surprise, they decorated the table with happy birthday napkins and a little birthday hat. I love these small extra gestures because they really do go a long way for me in terms of customer appreciation. The restaurant wasn't too busy at 1pm on a Saturday so you can probably get seated quickly without a reservation. It isn't directly next to the ocean but you get a nice ocean view so beautiful spot to eat at ! I got the Lagunarita (with torched lemon foam) to drink and chilaquiles and chicken and waffles. The Lagunarita is apparently their house made margarita and it was yummy but not really my preference. I did loveee the lemon torched foam though! As for the chilaquiles and chicken and waffles, both dishes were super yummy! Definitely recommend ordering - it's a perfect combo of sweet and savory with the two dishes. read more

Last Thursday we went to happy hour at the Oak. We were greeted upon arrival, sat at the bar and promptly served by the bartender. We had a great time! Venus our bartender made a fantastic vodka martini that my wife absolutely loved. We ordered food including the Spicy Chicken sandwich and Crispy Tuna tacos and both were delicious. Plus the added view of the ocean made this a perfect experience. I definitely recommend the Oak. read more

Loved this little gem! We went for lunch and really enjoyed our meal. My favorite dish was the wagyu burger. The crispy ahi tuna tacos and meatballs were also good (the meatballs could have used a bit of spice but the sauce was really good). The only dish I didn't care for much was the kale & brussel sprouts salad. They gave a generous portion of blackened chicken with the salad but the dressing wasn't great. Each dish was beautifully presented and our server was really sweet. I'd love to come back and try brunch. read more

Kendra and Venus are the best part about this place. Just the best bartenders around. Came in on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar with my friends. Had a few drinks (can't recall names.. a couple holiday drinks and a couple sours) - Kendra knows how to MIX a drink you hear me. Also got a chance to try their espresso martini. I usually don't like them bc they're inconsistently made (kinda like good red velvet cake or stuffing/dressing - When done well it's magical, but most attempts are meh) but Kendra made me a believer in this drink! Food was fantastic. Got the meatballs, calamari and burgers/chicken sandwich. All of us were licking our fingers by the end. The burger was perfectly moist, perfectly charred. Fries - also perfection. Even ended the night with their donuts as a bday surprise for my friend. Tbh I liked the gelato it came with more than the donuts themselves, they were kinda flavorless to me but overall still enjoyable. We called Oak to reserve a table for 7 to celebrate my son's birthday. We got there and everything was ready. The service was amazing, they took our order and also the cake we brought in for birthday. The view from the balcony is amazing and added to our experience. Appetizers were amazing and food was great. All orders came together after we had our appetizers. For dessert, they brought the cake with a sparkling candle on it. Food was great! We liked everything that we ordered, but service could've been better. We didn't get our waters refilled until we asked near the end of our meal. The seabass was melt in your mouth good. I will definitely order that next time. Wish it came with a veggie, but the mashed potatoes were good. The farmers market stir fry with salmon added was what I got and it was delicious! I wish it came with a sauce if protein was added, but it was still delicious. Popcorn cauliflower was a great appetizer for everyone to share and the sauce was really flavorful. My husband really liked the Oak burger and liked the fries even more. This is a cute spot with the gorgeous views. We went here to celebrate a birthday, and it did not disappoint. We shared some appetizers including the calamari, ceviche, and sweet and spicy ribs. Super flavorful rib appetizer that had me licking my fingers to get all the sauce. My wife said the steak in the tacos had amazing flavor. My Chicken Parm was huge, and the garlicky pasta was a perfect side. My son went healthy and has the stir fry with shrimp - beautiful selection of heirloom veggies, not just the usual stuff. I had the seabass - lacked flavor, by husband had the chicken parm with pasta - pasta was overcooked and over sauced making it mushy. The server was nice, but never told us her name...... Despite of our server's terrific service and cool ambience, the foods we ordered were below our expectations. Berry spritz did not have any sweets that should come from either the lemonade or the berry purées, Oak Street Classic Meatballs were ok but nothing special about it, none of the foods on Nana's Chicken plate were seasoned well except the fried chicken, and the sea bass was cooked in perfection but wasn't seasoned at all. Mashed potatoes bedded under the sea bass were great but the orange jícama relish and lemon mustard sauce were not seasoned and they felt out of place. When you eat them with the sea bass, all three did not blend together. There are plenty of parking spaces and you can get a validation from the restaurant. read more

Our plans for the day blew up due to traffic so we stayed local. There was a coupon for oak in our hotel packet so I knew we had to head there. We were able to get a reservation. Oddly, the place seems bare when you come in. I got the bacon tacos and my daughter got the French toast. Food was phenomenal and portions matching the price. Service was even better! Came by with a few friends for restaurant week. The service was surprisingly bad like abysmal. There was no hostess and we stood around for several minutes before looking for and asking an employee to seat us (we even had a reservation). Our server wasn't very friendly and didn't refill our waters. Another employee noticed that we were all empty and went to grab us some more. I got the ahi tuna tacos, steak, and bread pudding. The ahi tuna tacos were fine - not amazing but I enjoyed the shell. It's not something I would order again if I came back. My friend got the burrata which was really good but the ratio of bread and chutney was way off and could use a third slice of ciabatta. The flatiron steak was really good. It was cooked perfectly medium rare and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. You could also really taste the truffle in the mashed potatoes. This was my favorite dish that I had. I also tried some of my friends salmon and that was also really tasty. The bread pudding was a little disappointing. A big sell for it to me originally was the popcorn ice cream and I was excited to see how well they infused the flavor. It turns out it was just vanilla ice cream with 2 pieces of popcorn stuck on top. I also think there should have been a bit more ice cream to balance out the richness and heaviness of the bread pudding. The bathroom also uses like cloth napkins to dry your hands. It's great that they're eco friendly but it's interesting to use that type of material since it doesn't dry your hands very easily unlike regular hand towels. Overall the food was pretty good - the steak was my favorite but the service wasn't great. read more

My mezcal cocktail was fun and refreshing, especially with the Tajin rim. My Scottish salmon came prepared exactly as I had requested, medium rare. I like how the dishes are lightly seasoned.
