All of that in front of me. Then we rarely had anyone return. A young lady noticed finally and got our drink and app order...which she proceeded to get wrong. The app was the bacon cheddar biscuits .. yum! However, the apricot jam and buttery came plopped on a plate instead of in a small sauce container.. the butter had already melted and the jam was hard to get on a knife. We were congratulated and that was it. No other "special" treatment or offers because it was our anniversary. The service, the food, and the overall atmosphere were great. No complaints at all. My only issue was this, as we were preparing to pay the bill, a couple (white couple) was seated next to us and they were asked if they were there to celebrate a special occasion, and she said, "it's our anniversary" and the waiter then offered them a complimentary bottle (or glasses) of champagne! Wait, what??? I thought to myself, nobody offered us (a black couple) any complimentary champagne. A different person came to the table to take my credit card and I asked him about it. He did apologize and offered to bring us a couple of glasses of champagne but it was too late. We were done eating/celebrating and it was time to go home. I was 3 weeks from recovering from heart surgery and this was my first time out in the public to eat since my surgery and I didn't want to let not getting a bottle or glass of champagne ruin my evening with my Queen. The waiter greeted us and gave us the option to order from their regular menu or the menu made specifically for Restaurant Week. We went with the edited menu and had an assortment of starters with the tostadas and the wedge salad being the top picks. Our main entrees consisted of the shrimp and grits which was amazingly delicious! The meatballs on the risotto were equally as good. For the desserts, I will say I thoroughly enjoyed my mix berries on the butter cake. Really delicious. Service was great. There was a bit of a long gap in between our starters and the entrees but they made it up with their overall friendly service. PSA for those with hearing challenges, the noise level is quite loud in the restaurant. I will say that I'd like to go back and try their other dishes.

Georges Bank Seared Sea Scallop ($49): Three huge scallops cooked phenomenally. The mushroom risotto was a bit al dente and on the saltier side, and the mushroom flavor didn't come through as much as I would have liked. The squid ink beurre blanc was lovely though and really brought the dish together. Despite the risotto I would still order this again just for those scallops. Duck and Foie Gras ($46): The duck was cooked beautifully and the foie gras wasn't too heavy, just the right amount. I loved the strawberry arugula salad that came with it. The pairing worked really well overall. I personally didn't think butternut squash was the right puree choice but my husband disagreed and absolutely loved this dish. Foucher Sancerre Rosé ($15 glass): I am usually not a fan of rosé because of how dry they tend to be, but this one was not bad. It tasted much better when paired with food. August Riesling ($12 glass): A yummy, sweet drink that is refreshing and easy to drink. I had to pace myself or I would have finished it before the main courses even came out.

Normally their drinks are reasonably priced but I did notice when parades or big events are happening at Hemisfair (Dios De Los Muertos parade), they may charge the same prices as the outside vendors, which makes sense ($18 per beer, etc). They did have signs announcing the pricing inside the bar. When it's hot outside, definitely great option to come inside and sit for a minute!! Fast service at the bar.
