Stopped in for a drink and snack. Seated right away, overlooking the river. Great happy hour prices! Food was great and we would have ordered more if we didn't have dinner reservations later. We ordered the Poke Dog and Spam Musubi. Is it the drive?...yes
Gosh, such a fun place, maybe we even had too much fun... Drinks are very tasty and unique, you really can't go wrong. And there are even fun options if you don't like rum! The bartender is so nice and we also had conversations with others at the bar. This spot is so fun to hang out at for a couple hours, definitely add it to your list!
After doing the River Walk cruise and it was a great way to wind down. I ordered the Missionary Downfall. The drink was smooth, tropical, and well balanced without being overly sweet. I love the crushed ice that they use. Easy to sip and refreshing, especially after being out on the water. The atmosphere fit the tiki theme perfectly and felt relaxed without being over the top. Service was friendly and the location right on the River Walk made it an easy stop. A fun place to grab a drink and take in the vibe after a cruise or a long walk along the river.
For those who know me and see me barely writing this, YES, it is late! ;) We went to San Antonio with a large group of friends and we try to plan events and whatnot. We had just finished a ghost tour and someone mentioned that some of our friends were meeting at this place. I am 99% it was impromptu. The place was amazing and gave us this section. We filled up all the seats and the little love tunnel or whatever that end one was. I will say, being the social butterfly that I am, I was visiting with everyone and EVERYONE was enjoyng themselves. What is it about a tiki place that makes everyone so happy. You just cannnot be sad at a tiki place. I was happy that one of our firends found this plce and truly enjoyed myself. Great drinks and the staff was fantastic! Thank you for being so great!
We were barhopping along the Riverwalk and came into this tiki oasis. Set up like a Tiki speakeasy. This location is small, but comes with a lot of theming and a cute tropical vibe. There is very limited seating, but we were fortunate enough to be able to grab a spot outside overlooking the river walk. I will say inside definitely has a smell to it. Perhaps the drains haven't been cleaned as much as they need - but a smell lingers in the air. I had the Saint Lucius fashioned and it was OK. My husband got the eight year Appleton's rum with some Coke and it basically tasted like water. So the quality of the drinks is questionable.
What a fun place to grab a cocktail and an appetizer!! We were able to sit overlooking the river and were greeted immediately by Kiara who was so sweet & pleasant!! We ordered the coconut shrimp (delicious) and we each had the Painkiller. The drinks were delivered in tropical glasses and didn't disappoint!! We really enjoyed our time here!!
Hugman's is probably one of my go to spots when I'm bar hopping downtown or have out of town friends to show around. Such a cute little tiki bar that immediately takes you to another place when you walk in. It's right on the riverwalk and has seating inside and outside available. They have the cutest tiki drinks and are all hand crafted and made to order. Most come in picture worthy tiki cups and I've even ordered one that came with fire! It's worth noting that the bathrooms are always clean and beautiful decorated. Definitely a regular in my rotation!
We live in San Antonio and we wanted to go see the holiday lights on the river walk. As we were walking on the river walk we ran across Hugman's Oasis tiki bar so decided to check it out. The inside is not too big so our group sat in the outside area. Beautiful tiki bar inside and out. Super fun holiday drinks. We all got a different drink from the holiday menu and everyone enjoyed their drink.
VERY AWESOME PLACE! Though small, the place offers a very nice vibe. We were in San Antonio during the coldest week this year and this place was a nice slice of oasis. I can just imagine the patio on a busy day, located at an intersection of the river. Lots of people watching and some great beverages! Come visit!

This place is fun to just be at. The decor makes a really cool ambiance. The drinks are delicious. They also have food which ive ordered a couple things and they did not disappoint. The bartenders are nice and they make good recommendations for any drinks you might want to try.
While on vacation this week we found this gem on Yelp. We love a good tiki bar and Hugmans was great. Our waitstaff and bartender was helpful. We got the chicken appetizer and it was large & delicious. We may go back before we go home.
Such a fun spot on the river. Loved the tiki vibes and the Texas Sun was my favorite drink in San Antonio! Don't skip on the fries, they were the perfect snack.

Well, the first thing I look up in a city I'm traveling to for work is the local tiki bar! Hugman's Oasis did NOT disappoint. This is the cutest little Tiki Bar tucked into the corner of E Commerce on the river walk. It really does feel like a little escape away from it all. We planned on checking this place out after dinner at Tokyo cowboy but apparently we needed reservations so had the chance to try this place first. Everyone from the hostess to the servers were very friendly. We were waited on quickly and had our drinks before you knew it. I had the Naughtical By Nature. Vodka, Blue Curacao, Pamplemousse, Lemon juice, Hugman's Orgeat. I selected it in part because of the name and because I wanted something with vodka. It was really good but wish I got what my husband had. He had the Texas Sun. Bourbon, White Rum, Dry Curacao, Allspice, Cinnamon, Absinthe, Lemon juice. I had a sip and was in heaven. It was so good. I can't wait to go back and spend more time here and try some of the food too. read more

With its thatched ceilings, black velvet paintings, & skulls galore - Hugman's Oasis is a cool little tiki bar on the River Walk. This tropical little hideaway emits South Pacific Island vibes via its lively décor. The menu features classic and unique rum-based cocktails made with fresh juices that are served in kitschy glassware. Orgeat is made in house, which makes their Mai Tai extra special. My friend ordered a Mai Tai, and I had the Disco Daiquiri (Rum, Mango, Passion Fruit, Lime, & Demerara syrup). Both were delicious and did not disappoint. Super cool and unique tiki bar right on the corner of the Riverwalk. So many great places to visit near the bar, hotels and restaurants. We reserved a table on the patio for the Day of the Dead River Parade. The drinks were super fun ... the unique mugs and glasses. The combo of liquors was spot on. Loved the old fashion with rum. The Holy Goof is a crazy blend of flavors that worked so well together ... aramo, coconut, pineapple, matcha, oat milk! The River Ghoul was a special for the Halloween time ... tasted like a cherry cordial .. YUM!!! The small bites were super good as well. The service was spot on .. a little slow started but good from then out. read more

They open at 4pm and there is usually a small wait to be seated. It's is a fairly small place.This bar is located in the downstairs area of the restaurant Tokyo cowboy.We all got drinks on happy hour. We really like that they had mock-tails for our sober friends. read more

Such a fun bar on the riverwalk! The inside is decorated so well that it really feels like you're off on an island. I told the bartender that I wanted something with banana in it, and I'm not too sure what he made but it came with a burnt cinnamon stick and was tasty. Great drinks, great vibes. read more

I brought my friend to San Antonio for her birthday, and when she saw this place, she said she wanted a birthday drink there. Even though it was a lovely day outside, we sat inside, and the ambiance couldn't be beat. I loved the decor and kitschy cups. The bartender was super friendly, coming over to sit with us and chat while we figured out what to order, and he even gave us both free shots for my friend's birthday. (In a super cute skull shot glass, of course!) I had a Texas Sun, which to my delight came with a flaming pineapple. My friend's Jungle Pajaro came in an adorably kitschy cup, too. We also split some fries, which were delicious and the portion size good. This is a fun little hangout that is different than the rest of the Riverwalk. I'd definitely go back! read more

Service was slow. We were seated at the least desirable spot - right next to the hostess stand (when it was not busy). Finally, the drinks were both small and bitter, like an underfed Zennial. Both the pina colada and daiquiri left a bad aftertaste. As great as they could be with this location and related businesses, it's terrible here. Woooh! This place is tiny but mighty! We came on a weekday with a large group from work. Somehow they managed to accommodate us & they were great! The drinks were flowin & delicious!
