We had Ana amazing time here. From the amazing duo singing, to the excellent service from the bartenders. We enjoyed our time here in the small.alcoves in the rear of the place. We enjoyed the atmosphere and overall vibe! We will come back for sure next time we are in town!

This is exactly what it is...a modern day speak easy with great leather seating, Sinatra playing in the background and any version of old time music playing. This is a gem in San Antonio, a classic for those wanting a dark, quiet, location that has a blues music history. Watch out for the devil and do not sell you soul.

This bar is difficult to locate. It's inside the hotel. They have a very limited, pedestrian beer selection & an awful singer with guitar singing gross 90s songs. There's a huge TV with some sports game or other (because, really now, they're all the same to me & I don't care about a single one of them) that made beautiful boyfriend happy to watch so 2 stars for that. I suppose. Yawn.

I was in San Antonio for just one night for a concert, and I read that Bar 414 has one of the best happy hours in town. Stopped by and tried to order 2 food items, but they were out of the crab cakes. Bummer. Had the biscuits and brisket for $5 and alllllmost got the Prohibition wings, but I wasn't prepared to pay $8 for that. Also had a $5 Old Fashioned, which was pretty perfect. The food was just OK... more like pulled pork than brisket. But it filled me up with just the one dish. Really wish I got to try the crab cakes as that was one of the reasons I chose this spot. Oh well. Overall pretty good value in Downtown San Antonio.

This pleasant, hidden like, soft lighting, ambiance place was perfect to visit and have great elegant drinks. The service was quick to help and was very welcoming. Drinks were made to perfection. I will definitely, be going back soon.

Great ambiance with a classic cocktail lounge look and feel. Lots of comfy couples seating. Live music. We had the Solerno Breeze and the Kentucky Club; both were made expertly. Prices are in range of other downtown locations ($9-12 a drink).

Was pleasantly surprised to find a prohibition style bar in my hotel. I ordered the Big Daddy. Flavorful, stiff but not too stiff. A large block ice cube ensured my drink wasn't watered down in 5 minutes so I could sip and enjoy it.

Hmmm... I think I got lured in by a joint intended to attract visiting Midwest businesspeople, in town for a conference. Was excited to experience the purported music history of the place (Robert Johnson, virtually the godfather of Blues, is storied to have holed up in Room 414 of The Guenther - downtown hotel which houses the bar - for a couple days many moons ago and recorded some jams.) Other than some some images of RJ on the walls though (and apparently all generic stock photos, none involving SA or the hotel), there's not really any nod to him or the fairytale hotel-stay.... Whompsville. Bartenders were supernice, though. And my drink (Westside Water? Tastes like a very cucumbery, very balanced margarita) was superdelicious, albeit 12 Flippin' bucks. Don't make the mistake, as I did, of paying $15 to park (on a Wednesday night, at that...dang son!) down the block... Valet park at Guenther, and Bar 414 validates - free, woo! (Knowing THAT prior would have eased the sting of my drink price mucho! Lol)

Had the Wild Duck which was the experience the bartender who came up with the drink said it would be. Can tell they were true mixologist that are serious about their craft. They had a bunch of different cocktails inside lots of unique options and some not so much but where it was all about was the specials one in particular the Dunkle Sandwich as it tasted like Peanut butter and jelly like it was soo good up there with one of the best shots I've ever had soo flavorful and just good like this was by far my favorite thing I drank this night! Our other drinks were yummy too don't get me wrong as each of them has key components that made them taste amazing while I did forget the names just know that each one of them was yummy! On this particular night they had a mentalist wondering around doing magic he was fun and added to our evening here so that was a nice touch! Our bartender was awesome and quick to get us our drinks and I must say everything was mixed very well! Overall awesome spot for date night we both enjoyed our time here and hopefully we get to make it here again at some point because you can't go wrong with a chill speakeasy!

It's the perfect place for a girls' night, a cute date, or just grabbing something fun and different.

I'm always drawn to cocktail bars with a strong theme, and places like this usually live or die by how well they commit to the experience. Right away, the space is visually striking. The pink-forward aesthetic isn't totally my lane, but I can appreciate how fresh and easy on the eyes it feels. That said, it leans more high-energy lounge than intimate cocktail bar. For me, it's missing a bit of that dim, red-lit, date-night allure that makes a true cocktail spot feel seductive and immersive. At times, it feels closer to a club atmosphere than a tucked-away lounge. What really pulled me in, though, was the speakeasy concept and this is where Pink Shark starts to shine. The hidden entrance in the back delivers exactly the kind of exclusivity I was hoping for. Inside, the vibe shifts: loungy, modern, and just the right amount of sexy. The minimalist design works, and the lighting and décor pop without feeling overdone. Music can make or break a place like this, and on Saturday (4/25), the DJ nailed it. A smooth mix of EDM with reworked classics kept the energy up without overwhelming the space. Paired with a solid sound system, it elevated the entire experience. On the drinks side, there's a bit of a split. The signature cocktail menu is solid and clearly the focus, but for a speakeasy-style bar, the overall selection feels a little limited. I did appreciate seeing El Tesoro Reposado and Blanco on hand; always a good sign. I went with an Old Fashioned using the reposado, and my date had a Paloma with the blanco (based on a prep recommendation). Both were well-executed, and the bartender was accommodating and easygoing, which goes a long way. Service was smooth and quick, and we lucked out with seats at the bar at least for a while. Fair warning: around 11pm, they clear out the bar seating as the crowd builds. It shifts the energy again toward more of a standing-room, nightlife feel, but if you can snag one of the couches, you're in a good spot. Overall, Pink Shark has a lot going for it and even more potential. The speakeasy element is easily its strongest feature, and I'd love to see that identity pushed further especially with a deeper, more classic-leaning cocktail list (think Black Manhattan or a proper Boulevardier). There's something really good here it just hasn't fully settled into its lane yet. I'll definitely be returning soon. Texas Mozzer
