After driving past O'Finnigan's for years, my wife and I finally decided to drop in. Free parking can be found in the gravel parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. A $1 credit card fee is applied on charges less than $10. A 20% gratuity is applied to tabs left overnight. O'Finnigan's is a dive bar that serves 21+. A full bar is offered. Indoors, one will find a juke box, arcade games, dart boards, TVs, foosball, pull tabs, and pool tables. Happy Hour is offered all day on Sunday. Taco Tuesday is offered on Tuesday's. Wing Wednesday is offered on Wednesday's. During our visit, my wife slurped on a couple Manny's for $3.65 (HH) and I a couple Bodhi's for $4.55 (HH). For my meal, I chose the BLT sandwich for $13.75 with tater tots as my side. My meal also came with a dill pickle spear. My wife ordered the Chicken Strips with fries for $13.75. I liked her fries better than my tots. Service was a bit reserved. Since this was our first time in, it's hard to tell if the distance was due to staffing issues or the fact that we were not regulars. Overall, O'Finnigan's serves up standard bar food with adult entertainment for those seeking to get out of the house for a bit. We stopped in on St Patty's day. We've lived in the area a long time and this was our first visit. What a pleasant surprise! It's a true neighborhood pub. The owner and staff were so nice, as were the friendly customers. Irish stew and Reuben sandwich were really tasty and hot! Beer selection was great. Prices are really fine for this nutty market. This is what you're looking for when you're looking for an Irish pub and or dive bar! Upon entry you're hit with a musty aromatic ambiance that lets you know where you're at. Multiple options of entertainment and the atmosphere screams "hometown local Irish dive bar" Don't ask for a skinny margarita that's a no go. Just get the regular with a salted rim. I'm local and have been here many times as a karaoke enthusiast. After dinner the night before my birthday, I was excited to finish here and be close to home. The bartender CHECKED OUR ID AND then proceeded to tell us that she refused to serve us because of the way my friend opened the door. This story turned into 'stumbling inside the venue' before morphing to other excuses. It wasn't until I asked why we were being discriminated against that we were offered a free shot and apology from the owner. I'm not sure if it was my rainbow hat or something else, but Pub 44 is closer to the mall & light rail with much easier parking. read more

This is a hardcore dive bar. Drinks are stiff. Lots of games. Good mix of regulars, locals, and visitors in the crowd. Good mix of women and men. Plenty of TVs. The bartenders know how to mix drinks (even unusual ones). Oh, and there is karaoke every night. HELL YES! More of an observation than a complaint: the crowd shifts at about 10pm (at least on weekends) from an average age of 40 to 25 very quickly. The place becomes a very different scene. Still a good mix of women to men etc. 10/10 will come again, only wish it was closer to where I lived (although I fear I would be here every night if I lived within two blocks of this place). I have driven past this nondescript little bar for 30 years before trying it for lunch on St. Patrick's Day. I had an excellent corned beef reuben sandwich with crispy fries and good coleslaw. The chef must be from the south, because the bread pudding was as good as New Orleans ever served! Robert was a GREAT DJ when he did Friday and Saturday. NOW,..... We moved away but were in town this past weekend. We came to visit our old spot. ALSO,.... The DOUCHEBAG DJ who has the intelligence of a 2nd grader thought it would be funny to openly perform a song that was discriminatory in nature and deeply offended me and my wife. (He claimed it was a request but he performed it) I WILL NEVER FORGET OR FORGIVE THE TEARS IN MY WIFE'S EYES. IT IS ONLY BECAUSE MY WIFE IS SUCH A CLASSY WOMAN THAT I DID NOT RETALIATE IN THE MOST EXTREME OF MANNERS. So I'm not gonna let the douche bag bartender who came in late as i was paying my tab to affect my rating here. Besides that steroid freak experience that lasted 20 seconds, i had nothing but positive encounters. This place is in a not so classy part of town. Cops patrol the area and wait around for people leaving. Be smart if you visit this place especially on a weekend. Dive bar: heavy drinks, variety of games, good burgers, dollar beer night on Wednesdays, large projector televisions, karaoke, dance floor, pool tournaments. My kind of place. The other bartenders were cool. Perhaps the guy who tried to run my tab that night couldn't compute that i was paying cash while i had my card on file and paying with cash 30 percent of the bill. Math is hard for some people and what can you do if you're 45 on steroids, bald with a middle school education? In all seriousness, if you enjoy the dive bar scene and are in the area, check it out. I experienced racism at this place by the bartender didn't get her name before we left however she was short, older with long brown curly hair she was very rude. She had an attitude with us because we asked for a certain drink that she didn't have the knowledge of how to make it. She had an nasty attitude the whole time 29 minutes we were there. We left because she obviously had an issue with us please if your brown skinned of any shade DO NOT GO HERE because this bartender obviously is completely comfortable with her actions which gives me the assumption that the owner of the establishment must be ok with her racist attitude. I'm not from around here so I asked my sister and she said she experienced the same thing but when her white friend ordered she was nice and helpful. Don't support HATE!!! read more

Always a great experience here. Been coming here for about 16 years. The current owners (Tim and Serena) are amazing and always interact with the customers and the bartenders are great too. Too bad the bartender I had to deal with was such a douche prick. Drinks are of good strength and price, pool tables are in nice shape for a bar, and there are usually some money games going on if you are looking to make a wager or two. Crowd is really sketch, and most of the customers seem to be ready for a fight at the drop of a hat, so be prepared. My two major complaints are as follows: Karaoke. I hate to be the one to break it to you random people, but you can't sing NEARLY as good as you THINK you can. There is a reason you are singing here and not the Grammy's. Douche of a bartender. You BARTEND at a bar off Hwy 99. Consider this your reality check. One last thing, the bathroom is gross. If you drink too much, pee outside. Trust me on this one people. My girls and I come here from Edmonds for low key drinks and fun (the late night french fries at freakin delish:-).The regulars here take the bar and karaoke very seriously but If you are tone deaf (like me) don't worry they'll cheer you on! This is the place for Seahawks season (other than the stadium) CRAZY! Dudes were buying shots all over the place for us, hollering out showing love and it made cheering on the games so much fun! If you're broke Wednesdays are good for cheap beer, but my favorite nights are Thursdays and Fridays, it's a good crowd and bartenders seem to hit the spot for me. The ownership is split between 4 of the coolest cats around. Dianne is hilarious and she legitimately cares about your well being. Jason and Serena are heavy pours and Tim is hilarious and ties it all together. Although it can get a bit crazy on the weekends, even if I come here alone, I feel safe because the owners have taken me under their wing in a sense. I don't think anyone there would let anything bad happen to me. That all being said---- WARNING!! DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE WHEN GOING TO THIS BAR. Not the best in that department. Parking is not the most organized. My cousin actually had his truck broken into here and stereo equipment stolen. Last night friend's called me and asked me to join them at Finnegan's I did it was around 11:00 Pm, It was Karaoke night like every night. As soon as I got to Finnegan's I went up to the DJ and requested for him to play a song ONE song, I gave him $20 to play my song, I was in a great mood. As I was up there another man requested a song he did not give the DJ any anything. Now he requested after me, two songs later the DJ played his song and not a soul went on the floor. I waited the last song came on for the night and he never played my song. He even told me he was going to play it when I gave him the $20 but later. Don't say your going to do it if your not. If he would of said not tonight I would of said okay but to take the $20 and have no intention of playing the song is just down right rude and inconsiderate to the customers that comes on a regular basis. I drink water, I am not a drunk, I understand and watch all that is going on, in the past few weeks I have seen a big change in Finnegan's - The crowd has changed and it's not that it is bad, but it is not the normal crowd, it's a much younger they are still respectful it's a good group right now, I have not seen any fights and the staff there is amazing, they pay attention and they are on top of things. This is what upset me the most this DJ was playing songs that no one was dancing to at times, they were for his pleasure only, What I mean one song the floor is packed and the next two song he was the one bouncing his head to the music him and a few of his friend behind the music system. Good costumer services is about taking care of those who help the place run, I may not work there, but I have shared and told many people about O' Finnegan and I have also spent plenty of money at this place in the upper $1,000's for drinks for friends and when I was drinking myself, I tip over and beyond, I always say thank you and I am very appreciative that they keep a safe place for me to hang out as a 47 year only single women that's important. However this DJ, Was so rude on the system, He yells out on the system "I may point out" "Who ask for there tip back" as I walk away from him after I asked for my money back. So I walked out flipped him off and thought to myself what a DICK, just because you have a MIC you think it is okay to yell over the MIC at a customer ....So rude, then that pissed one of my girlfriends off so I guess she said something to him when she did that , he asked to have her escorted out and they did, instead of reprimanding there DJ for being completely rude to a customer over the MIC. I had planned on doing something special for the staff last night to show my appreciation, however when not one of them took the time to find out what was going on that made my decision, and I have the mean to bless people...but I can tell you this one thing If I ever walk into O' Finnegan again, and I see that DJ I will walk out he is unprofessional and a very rude young man who needs to be taught that being a DJ is not about pleasing yourself it's about the customers. The song I requested was "Easy" by the Commodore's - It's a classic, just like other songs people had requested last night. Likes: O' Finnegan's has great people working there, the staff really seem to be on top of there shit it's a fun place to go if you like hip-hop,rap,karaoke,dancing and Pool, they have a really nice patio for smokers and some really good Hot dogs and Nachos out side at a reasonable price. They give bottle water away and keep it in a cool little frig so you don't have to wait in line to get water (very cool) by the way the pool is free as well, O' Finnegan's offers a lot of nice touches, also it is free to get in, they do check your bags & wand you for security which at first I did not like, but I think is a wise practice because these days you never know. Dislikes: The D.J. they had on Wednesday Night July 6th, 2016 is very unprofessional and should not be allowed to D.J. first because when you see music you are playing has no one on the floor that is a sign to slide into another song dude, use your talents and fade that shit out and play something else. Second if someone give you $20 dollars at 11 pm at night and you still have 2 hours to play that persons song, and it is a night where people are requesting song and your taking request you play it unless it's a night that the requested song would not fit then say "Thank you, but that song will not work for this crown tonight". , "I can't accept that",. At that point it would be my options to say you could keep it or say thank you and take back the money. Not tell the customer your going to play it later and then don't, I had come up to you twice, no excuses You Mr. DJ know nothing about customer service and therefore you will struggle through out life unless you learn. Total dive. Which is a good thing. I think if you go into this joint expecting something else you're smoking crack. The bartender is sassy, the drinks are strong, the regulars seem like they are hard drinkers! All what you'd expect of a good dive bar. They have pool tables, darts, and a couple other bar games. I'm told there's karaoke every night. Cool. My friend and I had some snacks since it was happy hour and they were tasty - fried zucchini and mozzarella sticks. This bar has Karaoke 7 nights a week, which is great if you like doing that. Depending on which night you go, you'll have to deal with different DJ's. One is kind of standoffish and surly and one is an older nice guy who actually plays decent music in between singers. Another DJ must be knew as he doesn't really know what he is doing! My complaint here is TOO many songs between singers! If you are going to be known for being a Karaoke bar, let people sing!(This is why I am only giving it 4 stars!) Good prices on drinks and strong at that! Plan on drinking your drink slowly, so you don't get wasted fast! Also the cops like to patrol this bar so be careful. Typical bar food and it's ok. I'm one of those regulars and as the song goes, "I love this bar!". IF YOU ARE A SNOB OR AT ALL PRETENTIOUS, this is not the bar for you. The crowd on Friday and Saturday nights is more 20 somethings while during the week you will see more 30 somethings. However, on Wednesday nights they have $1 PBR's and cheap hot wings which tends to bring out a younger crowd as well. It's a hard core karaoke bar with some good singers and a some bad but if you are gung ho about hearing good singing, go to a concert. Half the fun are the bad singers! The bar may have a dive reputation but in spite of some of the reviews here, fights are pretty rare. The bar has security staff on the weekends that helps keep things safe and quite frankly, they do a better job than some of the other bars in the area. If you plan on drinking heavy though, bring a designated driver as the State Patrol loves this stretch of Hwy 99. read more

I don't know how their food is, they ensure you can't get any except typical frozen fried bar food by the time karaoke starts at 9. You'd think they would keep the real kitchen open for at least an hour of karaoke. Their selection of karaoke songs is very impressive, but when even with the "good karaoke host", they INSIST that they must play a pop or hip hop song between every karaoke song. On white trash Wednesday, the karaoke host plays about 4 hip hop songs per 1 karaoke song. The night people are supposed to have the most fun is the night where they limit people's fun the most. It's only once in a blue moon that people are on the dance floor from a pop tune, so why focus on it so much? What truly gave this poor rating was when "the good karaoke host" tried to convince me that tempo is the same thing as pitch, and that if I didn't want to sing the song in the "lowered pitch/key" that was simply slowing down the song without changing the pitch, that I should tell him I simply don't wamt to sing the song because he "did his job and changed the option in the software", that was the final straw. Blathering idiots are the karaoke hosts who don't know elementary school level basic musical principles. Do not come here if you're a singer, and do not come here thinking you'll get to perform a lot, no matter how small the rotation is. Lots of frat boy humor. read more

I tried this venue on 3 different occasions with 3 different groups of friends, and had the same experience on all 3. The host was rude and favored the regulars over newcomers. I make a point of tipping a few dollars for every song I sing, but he never got the chance to see that. I arrived at 9 and put a song in immediately. I watched as people arrived after us- some around 11, and sing 2-3 times before I got one song in. The service was positively lousy. It took 20 minutes to get a beer, and my pint was poured 2 inches short of the top. This is by far the shittiest bar I have ever been to. I won't be coming back. read more
