A friend told me that 7th Street Pub, in north Everett, WA, offers half-priced "Classic" Burgers on Tuesdays, so I decided to give it a try. On the receipt, it says, "Madison Avenue Pub". I thought that was weird. I only had a few minutes to grab something to eat, so I called ahead and ordered a cheeseburger to go. Melissa answered the phone. I let her know it was my first time ordering, subbed fries for potato salad, and asked for extra mayo. She confirmed the burger was half-price. Great! I arrived just six minutes later. No one greeted me or acknowledged me when I walked in. I made my way to the bar where the cooks were working right beside it. One cook caught my eye. I smiled and waved, but she didn't respond. Not her job, I guess, but still a bit off-putting. The kitchen is very small, so it looks like they use part of the bar to prep and pack to-go orders. Therefore, I moved to the other end of the bar, hoping someone would notice me. It was close to noontime and the place was definitely hopping. A group of people walked in after me and seated themselves, which clued me in that this wasn't a "wait to be seated" place. A server did notice them, and as she grabbed menus for their table, I asked where to pick up a to-go order. She quickly grabbed my bag from behind the bar. When she told me the total, it sounded close to the full price of a burger. (Old menu photos on Yelp show burgers being way cheaper than 2025 prices. My half price Classic Cheese Burger shows $7.97; which makes full price $15.94). I mentioned the Tuesday deal, and she said yes, it's half-price but there's a $2 to-go fee and a $0.50 upcharge for extra mayo--none of which Melissa mentioned on the phone. I told her that had I known these hidden fees, I might've made other choices. The server apologized, but it was too late. As for the food: The burger was big and the toppings were fresh, packaged separately in a ziplock bag. Unfortunately, the hamburger itself had chewy, gristly bits that made it unpleasant. The bun was soft, had a lot of butter to grill. The potato salad was store-bought and tasted like the sweet kind from Costco; not my favorite. The extra mayo I paid $0.50 for came in a generous side container, but since it wasn't on the burger, all but one knife-full went to waste. I appreciated that they included a fork and knife without me asking. Even though the experience was disappointing, I still tipped 20% for a to-go order. But between the lack of communication, hidden fees, and underwhelming food, I won't be returning. read more

My wife and I stopped into 7th Pub for a quick lunch while in North Everett. We were pleasantly surprised to find out the owner is the same as Madison Ave Pub in Everett. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. There is a $1 charge for to-go orders and a $3 charge for split plates. Ridiculous. Happy Hour is offered Mon-Fri from 3pm-6pm. A nice selection of craft beer is available on draft. There is some hard alcohol; not much though. Wine is also available. Indoors is open and can easily accommodate a large group. There are a few TV's throughout. Pull tabs can be purchased for those who like to play. During our visit my wife and I had a pounder of Manny's and Bodhi for $5.75 each. For our meals, my wife chose the Chicken Strip appetizer for $10.95 and I chose the Ham & Swiss Melt for $13.95 + $1.25 up-charge for tots. Our meals were standard. Service was friendly. If we lived closer I'm sure we would drop into 7th often. After learning that 7th and Madison (exact same menu's) were owned by the same person, it was hard not to compare the two. What once was a solid choice for conventional food has become mediocre and overpriced . Cold fries delivered with a lukewarm sandwich and cola came to $20.00. I know every kitchen and cook can have a bad night, but this has happened the last two times. There won't be another try. Where once service was given promptly and courteously, the last two times have decidedly not been the same way. When the owner and servers seem to begrudge their customers, why would anyone want to give them money, much less a tip! With those two strikes against a place, you can guess what the overall feeling was for me and my party. We went to 7th Street Pub because we heard they had the best burgers in Everett. We were not disappointed. I had never been to 7th Street Pub and was in the area looking for a burger. It was late on an off night, but we found the pub easily. The interior is bright and open though I imagine it can get packed. They were already decorating for St. Patrice Day which I imagine is any pub's Super Bowl. There was hardly anyone there but a lot of staff. Several large screen TVs make viewing sports a pleasure. Lots on tap but we didn't partake. I called in the order and the waitress who took my order was friendly and provided good customer service. We tried the Bleu Moon burger with onion rings, a green salad, and the Macho Nachos. Unfortunately they didn't hear that I wanted a half order so we got a mountain--no, a UNIT of nachos piled with ground beef, cheese, green onions, and tomatoes that lasted for two dinners. Those nachos need their own zip code! My favorite was the Bleu Moon burger. It was well made and everything on it was fresh and plentiful. The accompanying onion rings were large and crispy. It was hard to choose between all of the burgers they offer, so I'll just have to go back to try a few more! I appreciated all the sauces on the side, and the way that everything was packaged with care. The green salad was a nice mix of salad greens, olives, cherry tomatoes, and croutons. This pub is very close to Everett Community College and even though I've passed it a million times, I would have never thought that they had such good food. We will be back! Note that the parking lot looks like it is accessible all along the front of the pub. It is not. There is one tiny lip along North Broadway so be careful when turning in when entering or leaving--or use the 7th Street entrance. read more

Friendly place, and I usually like the food and drinks, but I got food poisoning last time I ate there. I love salad dressing and probably use too much, but my pre-dressed Caesar salad was practically soup it had so much dressing. I'm not sure if it was the salad, onion rings, or something not washed well but I've been dealing with food poisoning for over two weeks now. I'll stick to the fried foods if I ever get the stomach to eat here again. P.S. The crispy chicken option for sandwiches, wraps, and salads is really a sliced up chicken patty. They said it's been fights here all the time and it's not a safe place that's why they have so many cars coming at the same time. It's a dive bar, gross environment, a lot of dirty talking they talk to my dad about b*******., and all of the customers lie because of our experience. My wife and I stumbled upon this place while in town this last Saturday. We both ordered different meals and were very happy with the way they turned out. Mind you, the time of day was approximately 3 PM on a Saturday. Not only were they very good, they were huge portions. I had the Western Burger. It was huge and very juicy. Loved it. The atmosphere was nice. The place was playing good Rock and Roll music. In addition to the great music, it was actually at a perfect sound level where you could here the music and actually have a conversation at the table without yelling. That's hard to find any more. We will definitely add this place to our "Favorites" for when we come back to Everett. read more

My family, including my 92 year old navy veteran father with a walker, were verbally attacked by the waitress on Sunday 5/20/24 because my father had the audacity to innocently ask her if they were short a cook. He asked because we had been waiting quite a while for our food. No one else at the table even was concerned about the wait but we did laugh at his comment because it was kind of funny. He wasn't trying to be funny but just making an innocent comment to the waitress. Anyway, my advice to you if you do decide to go to this establishment is never ever say anything like that because she totally lost her sense of compassion and self control. It was quite an experience to be part of, which I shared with the 6 police officers in patrol cars who came to maintain order. STAY AWAY! The waitress with her 2 hair space buns verbally assaulted my 91 year old Navy vet Grandpa and family (senior citizens). That waitress lost her mind. She was so rude, literally snatched food OUT of their HANDS then cleared all their plates off their table in a screaming/swearing tantrum. Then demanded they pay for the food they didn't get to eat. She told them to get out and called the police. Whoever the owner is needs to get that employee out of there before she makes further problems. The police said there are constant brawls and problems at this place. One of the waitresses sent me a friend request on Facebook. What the heck? Um no, block. Then they took a picture of their customer (my family member) and shared it online on reviews making up lies about her. They take pictures of their customers and share them online! Gross. If you're looking for a good time, avoid this place like the plague! My friend (a black male) was bizarrely accused of "bothering people and asking for drinks." We had been at this establishment for a short time. He paid the bartender CASH for the 2 drinks he had. Slightly offended, he explained he's here for a birthday party and has been with his group the entire time (besides when he killed Buffalo Soldier - Bob Marley on karaoke). He paid cash for his OWN drinks! So I walk up to see what's going on. I also let the bouncer know he's been with our group the entire time! He paid for his own drinks. Ask the freakin bartender!!!! So we're ready to go, they have my card and are running my drinks so we can get the hell out of this place (we were JUST about to leave anyway, the place had a bad vibe from the get). This is when another employee (woman) comes out VERY aggressively, calling me a bitch and screaming at me to leave. "Um, ok, just waiting for my card.." My card comes, she then screams at me to sign my slip and get the fuck out. I pick my card up and we leave. Followed, of course, by these bizarrely aggressive and dedicated employees (that are still yelling at us). So we sit in my car, doors locked, windows up, peacefully waiting for our ride as these employees stand around my car yelling "the police have been called!" Go ahead. Call the police. We did nothing wrong! Just out of curiosity though, what did you tell the police? "THERES A BLACK MAN IN THE BAR ASKING FOR DRINKS! HELP!" ??? Moral of the story: racism is strong in America. This is my favorite place in Everett aside from Totem Restaurant! I don't know if it is because the place is walking distance to my house, because of the monster portions of amazing(ly unhealthy) foods, or the chill relaxed feel of it all, but it is great! This has been one of my go-to spots for a few drinks, to watch Seahawks games (until the baby came around), or to grab burgers (especially on Tuesday, half-price burger day) for a few years since I moved into the neighborhood! Def friendly, def a little divey, it has it all! Pool, including pool tournaments if I'm not mistaken, daily specials, a patio to go out and smoke on with your drinks (one of my all-time favorite things when I was a smoker), greasy-spoon fare, karaoke, and good service! This is a super-chill place that is free from pretension, feels super-local, and you would probably drive past it without ever turning your head to think much was there. Fun place to go for karaoke (for me), as there were a lot of people of different levels (read not pros), which made me feel comfortable singing after not having karaoked for years! I will miss this place having moved back to Edmonds and will probably still stop by when I am in the neighborhood or working at my garage up there, as their plates are huge and delicious! Club sandwich is gigantic, Pub Burger is overwhelming and amazing, greasy and a perfect accompaniment to some beers! We have been coming here for a couple of months now and we LOVE this place. The staff is absolutely wonderful, every time we come in they know exactly what we order and know us by name. This place was recently recommended to us and is a bit on the divey side. However, the food was great. They have a full bar, not just the beer and wine you see; the Bloody Mary special was pretty good. Not a huge selection of draft beer but they do have some of Diamond Knot's. The New England clam chowder was thick and creamy with a few chunks of potatoes. Quite good. We tried the hand cut NY steak special which came with a salad, fully dressed baked potato, and garlic toast. They make their own blue cheese dressing which was delicious. The steaks were perfectly cooked to medium rare, as ordered, and the baked potato was huge. We asked for the potato toppings on the side and they consisted of creamy butter, lots of real bacon, chopped scallions, grated cheese, and sour cream. The server on the floor really didn't make much of an effort to get to us but the bartender (Jennifer) did and the service was friendly and prompt. If you're looking for a colorful, laid back scene this is a good typical pub. There's nothing particularly swanky about it, but in the mile plus radius it inhabits it's certainly the most comfortable. People are friendly, mostly 35-50 year old dudes, but occasionally you get some younger folks and mingling cultures to freshen things up. There's Karaoke Friday/Saturday nights which has just enough people (not so many that you won't sing for the first hour you're there, but not so few that you feel like a self-serving stage hog singing for the enjoyment of tiny invisible molecules). read more
