We were running about 10 minutes late, but we called them and let them know. When we arrived, the front desk staff barely said anything to us and just whisked us back into the massage room. They barely welcomed us, they didn't ask about any focus areas or preferences, and it seems like they were not the strongest communicators. We got a very basic massage with a mix of back, legs, and arms. It was not at all a deep tissue massage. It was not relaxing. It was not worth it. I didn't feel anything at the end; like, I might as well not have gotten a massage at all. When we were done, they whisked us to the counter to pay. Again, not very friendly or communicative. There is a sign on the counter that says there is a $5 charge for paying with credit card, but thankfully they did not charge us that. The place is very barebones, like the service. They have about 6 massage rooms. We were the only ones there, and I got the impression there was only more than one staff person there because we booked in advance. FYI They have some coupons on Groupon.

I prefer telling the massage therapist what is going on. I did. The therapist came in, did not introduce herself. Nothing. I said; "my hips are tight, I believe it's my psoas and lower back and glutes". "Can you spend time on my right hip" She kept massaging my back. okay, I thought.. she will work her way to my leg. NOPE. I asked again. Can you please massage my legs, esp my lower back and hip. She rubbed my neck. I repeated my self... my legs. She rubbed my head. After the fourth time, I gave up. So pissed off. Massage therapist did not speak English so did not know what I was even saying. I found this language barrier issue out when I told the front desk and manager that I was upset b/c she did NOT give me a sports massage. Manager responded. Can you stay and we can work your legs now. I said; NO. I have to go and I don't have time to get undressed again. So annoyed. They gave me a gift cert. The man sat in a stool and applied a lot of oil, would slide his hands up and down my skin. Like a petting motion. The entire massage was like that. I didn't feel any different after the massage and found myself quite disappointed. I got an email from Origins reminding me to leave a review. I responded asking to speak to someone about my experience and after a week, no response. I proceeded to email the email address on the website and gave my feedback. No response after 3 weeks I didn't feel like that was a deep tissue massage. The gentleman was sitting on a chair for 90% of the massage. Maybe he had a long day already.
