Wanted to try this place out for a deep tissue massage. I made an appointment for 60 minutes. It was easily the worst massage I've had in my life. The technique was not even close to a deep tissue massage - it was a lot of rubbing up and down without any intention. I tried asking for deeper pressure, but that didn't make a difference. I loved my deep tissue massage with the owner. He used massage techniques that I haven't experienced at Massage Envy or other massage spas. He didn't use massage oil at all and massaged me through a sheet 95% of the time. The remaining 5% of the time, he massaged my arms, palms, neck, and face with the sheet off. He applied the right amount of pressure that I like and focused on pressure points. He didn't jip me on the one hour like with Massage Envy (oops, did I really just call them out? Yes, I did.). They played uplifting, Chinese instrumental music during my massage. Since this massage spa just opened up, they don't have much clientele so it was very easy for me to get a same-day massage appointment. If you live in the area, I recommend taking advantage of this now before they get more clients. They did not seem busy today or yesterday, and I think it's because not many people know they're there. It's easy to miss them since they're located on the side of an apartment building and their storefront isn't as prominent as the escape room's storefront next door. They are located on the left side of Siena Park Apartments if you are facing the apartment. There's a parking garage behind the massage spa, inside the Siena Park Apartments. There's also street parking right in front of the spa, as well as another parking garage across the spa with "Giant" over it. If you see Taqueria El Poblano driving on Columbia Pike, then turn into the street right next to it to get to this massage spa. I've posted a pic with the prices and types of massages. Don't waste your money. My therapist didn't speak English, and I'm pretty sure that she was not an actual massage therapist. I marked on the little pictures on the sign in sheet where I wanted her to focus, and she basically ignored it and did whatever she wanted. I signed up for deep tissue, but one of the only times she really used her elbows was to rake them over my rib cage, at which point I had to stop her and ask her to get the guy from the front desk who spoke English. She clearly had no idea what she was doing. She also had poorly trimmed nails with which she stabbed or pinched me several times. I couldn't relax because I was waiting for her to either jab me again or do something else wrong. Sadly, I've had my share of bad massages in Arlington, but I figured since this place had all 5 star reviews that it might be different. I wonder if all of those reviewers are friends and family of the owners or just don't know what a good massage should be like. read more

I just got home from an excellent massage and just had to give some public praise. I woke up today feeling sore from a bad night of sleep. I sent a message on the website and heard back almost immediately. They had a spot open at opening time! Wahoo. I think it was the owner at the reception, and a woman provided my massage. I told them i did not want too much pressure but wanted more of a combination of light and deep pressure. After previously having had a deep tissue massage that hurt (at a different place), i wanted to make sure they knew before we started that i did not want that kind of massage. She really listened, and i had a wonderful massage that was just perfect for my needs. She asked a few times during the massage if the pressure was ok, and i appreciated being asked! She focused on the areas that I had said were bothering me - namely my neck and shoulders. But she also gave me a full body massage and some light stretching, which all felt great. I have had many many massages in my life, as it is something that I feel really helps keep my stress levels low and helps my tension in my shoulders since i have an office job at a computer all day. This was one of the best massages I have ever had, and I will be back! I don't know how much longer this will last, but they have a grand opening special going on, which was a nice perk with the reduced pricing. Paul is awesome. I have been suffering with pain since a surgery in December. A friend highly recommended Paul and I went the next day. I gave him my history and painful areas. I have been to this spa a few times, and I am almost always happy with the result. But last time I should have asked for a guy instead of the lady, but it was late at night and I didn't want to impose. The only reason being that I like deep and strong massage and men usually have the strength that I like, being a sports person. Anyway, last time I told the lady that it was my arm that was hurting, several times, and she said yes, but she only dedicated like 30 seconds to my arm, apparently, she was saying yes without understanding what I was saying. And told her several times please more on this arm, but she didn't understand and then the time was over. I regret not having the courage to complain, but I also felt bad for the lady who could barely speak English. Next time I will make sure that I get a guy and explain from the beginning at the front desk exactly what I need. The person at the front desk usually speaks more English and they ask beforehand what type of massage I want (but maybe because it was late the person didn't do it). I was so disappointed and so mad (maybe more with myself) that I would have given them fewer stars, but this was one exception. Just would like to know that next time the person that is treating me takes the time to ask and understand better. Don't waste your money! When my best friend and I arrived there were 3 employees in the lobby. All of them barely spoke English. My massage therapist didn't have on a company uniform. Instead she had clothes on that looked like she just got out of bed and ran to work. Since she didn't speak English when I asked for the aromatherapy as stated on my Groupon she didn't understand so I didn't get it. My best friend said she got a little during the last 5 mins of her massage. After the massage I asked the gentleman at the front desk about the aromatherapy stated on the Groupon I purchased. He made up three excuses of why we didn't it; 1. most people don't want it so they stopped offering it, 2. Groupon added it to the Groupon not them, and 3. I was suppose to ask for it when I checked in. At the end of the conversation he never offered anything to make up for not providing the services stated on the Groupon. On top of this, the massage was average. I have to agree with another reviewer; I don't think my therapist was a licensed massage therapist. read more
