She also lowered my underwear without asking, and massaged the upper area of my buttocks - it was fine, however I wish she would have asked or warned me. To be honest I actually just froze when she did it. I also know that some people get a massage completely nude, but I wish she had some forethought about "maybe this person is wearing underwear for a reason, and I should ask if I can move them around." 3/29/25 Nearly 8 years has gone by since I last wrote a…read morereview on this business. I had stopped by last week to find out what Wendy could do to relieve pain from my wife's back and legs. I recieved positive vibes from Wendy and decided we will come here the next weekend. Today is Saturday March 29th and we had a 3:30pm aka 15:30 appointment. I called ahead and made an appointment so there wouldn't be any surprises when we showed up. Wendy was at her station when we arrived. I noticed some things about the place had changed. I put this to the back of my mind until later. Wendy was all smiles as I explained my wife would be going first. She was lead to a room I have once been in 8 years ago. While my my wife was undressing in the room, I was lead to another room where I could sleep for an hour while waiting for my massage. This room is set up for Ashiatsu Massage; as well, as your standard massage forms. Since I had some time on my hands, I took some pictures of the room I was in. Seeing it was going to be an hour before my massage, I had time to reflect on things that have changed here. I remembered Wendy having a partner in this business, but now she seems to works alone, unless specific reasons acquire a second masseuse/therapist. I had seen at another massage place, the women had portable tablets they could use to connect with the security cameras and see who is approaching and/entering the facility. I had the idea Wendy might have this new feature in security. It turns out I was correct on this notion, but did not find out until later on. Looking at the massage table, I decided to put a barrier between myself and the sheets I would be laying on. Using paper towels, I placed them where my back and big ass would go. It's something I do from time to time. Especially if I haven't been to the place for a long time. I then undressed and turned the lights out to tried to sleep. My mind did not sleep and I could hear people in different office buildings going about their jobs. I must have fallen asleep to some degree, but not by much. I felt Wendy lightly brushing her nails against my leg to wake me up. The hour massage for my wife went by fast...or so it seems. THE MASSAGE EXPERIENCE: 3/29/25 Since I was already laying on the table and ready for my massage, Wendy did not waste any time starting my massage. Wendy started the massge at my neck and shoulders line. She started massaging me through the drape cloth, but the massage did not feel the same is hands on skin. The option of draping or no draping lies with the client and the masseuse's agreement. If both parties agree, the draping cloth was removed and a better massage could be preformed. I was asked if I wanted Deep Tissue Massage or Swedish Massage? I went with Swedish Massage. I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but Swedish Massage turned out to be more of a body rub. Especially since no pressure applied to my body. This had me thinking about the massage my wife had. As things turned out, my wife wasn't satisfied with the massage she had. My wife's massage felt like Wendy wasn't doing what she could to alleviate the pain my wife was feeling. My wife also felt Wendy was saving herself for me. I did not know this at the time, but I was hoping my wife's massage was acceptable. I was also informed the room my wife was in had mildew smell to it. My Room did not have a mildew smell...(except in a small closet. The cleaning machine needed its water changed)...If it did, then I did not pick up on it. Since catching Covid-19 back in 2021, my sense of smell hasn't been like it use to be. Wendy's massage was still enjoyable to me, because she got creative with her use of soft touch. Here's one example of what I am talking about. 90min Imagine Wendy playing different instruments and playing the tunes and speeds of the song on your body using only her fingers...songs like Don't Let Me Fall by B.o.b, Imagine by Say My Name by Destiny's Child, Sweet Dreams By Annie Lenox, John Lennon, Stand By Me by Ben E. King, Under The Bridge and Soul To Squeeze by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Yes, whether stimulating drums, violin, piano or the guitar, the massage felt wonderful. This is not something I have experienced before in this manner. The missed pressure I would get on the gluteus maximus or legs was sorely missed; however, Wendy made up for it with the soft touch and creative musical strokes. The one hour massage ended, but Wendy said "come back for two hours next time." I might take her up on that. I would like to complete my first card stamp for Wendy's business. Then collect on the free hour massage. I don't l know when I will be back, but it will be within this year. I will be sure to select the Deep Tissue Massage next time.

*Part 2 Of 2* 9/22/23…read moreTHE MASSAGE: Since massage is best when nude, this is exactly what I did.  I lay on top of the new sheeting, because  was suspicious about the sheeting underneath the new sheet  laid out. It might have been clean, but I didn't take that chance.  I also do not stick my face in the massge holes.  This is a very good way to get sick.  I think so anyways. Kathryn waited about 4 minutes before knocking on the door before entering.   I wasn't concerned about draping and apparently neither was  Kathryn.   Kathryn started on my neck with a great amount of pressure. She continued this by working on my arms, hands and back.  What really impressed me was the Thai Stretching Kathryn incorporated into my massage.    Kathryn continued with the preliminary massage by stretching the glutes maximus, legs and feet.  When I say stretching, I mean stretching.   It is not for the weak of heart.  When Kathryn was done with the preliminaries, she started back at my neck and shoulders, but with massage oil.  The Massage oil is unscented so have no fear ladies and gentleman.  The massage pressure Kathryn applied to my skin was steady and consistent.    Kathryn continued massaging my arms, neck, back, glutes maximus, legs and feet.    Ordinarily I prefer to have me feet massaged last, but I didn't let Kathryn know this at the time. I will do so the next time I am here with whoever the staff member...no,...massage therapist.     Massaging feet is not always done at massage palors.  Same can be said for face and head massage. This doesn't seem the case for Massage Joy:) The feet, legs and glutes maximus massage were the best part of the massage for me.  Whether on my stomach or back, Kathryn spend more time on those areas because I asked her too.    If there was any tension in the gluteus maximus, legs or feet, Kathryn eliminated this problem. Kathryn finished how she started the massage.  Kathryn did the Thai Stretching again and finished with the massage slaps I have experienced at so many other massage palors. If there is a more professional name for these massage slaps, I can think of it right now.  I don't feel like looking it up right now either. AFTER THE MASSAGE: Kathryn used a hot towel to remove some of...,  no,...a lot of the oil that was applied to my body.  I like to keep some oil on my body, but this time a little to much oil was used. Nevertheless, I think Kathryn (who might be the manager/owner of this establishment) did a fantastic job.  I do feel cleaning the oil off the walls might...will help improve the look of the business.   This is just one room I saw, but it left an impression on me. The bathroom looked neat and orderly; as well, as smelling "so fresh and clean, clean." From what I saw of the layout of the business, the employee hang out spot is straight down the hall from the front desk.  There are 4 massage rooms and the bathroom is on the left hand side past the first massage room on the right. In case I didn't say it,  Massage Joy is located on the second floor in building 241.  Very close to Sugar Spa.  A two minute walk away...if that long. I know I will try this place out at least two more times.  I love Thai Massage incorporated with the Swedish/Deep Tissue Massage. Especially without the loose clothing at is normally associated with it.  I give this place a 4 star review.  It would have been 5 stars, but the was an eyesore.

East Wing Massage has been in Vienna for many years but somehow, this is the…read morefirst time we have gone.  The massage was thorough and a good pressure and the facilities were clean and quiet.  We appreciated the soft music playing but only wish it could have been commercial free as the ads kind of broke the tranquil mood of the music.  The staff was very pleasant and the charge is very reasonable.  Our only other suggestion might be to have a little more light in the treatment rooms as customers are getting ready for the massage.  It was pretty dark and hard to see where to put things.  These points are minor and we were very happy with the massages we received and would definitely recommend East Wing Massage.  There is also plenty of parking and it is conveniently located.
