Hoyoon Chong is a patient and caring practitioner who clearly gets joy out of what he's doing. He's good at both listening to patients and explaining treatment methods, and his overall bedside manner is very cheerful. I've never felt rushed during the sessions. I've also enjoyed learning more from him about traditional Eastern medicine and how it differs from or is similar to Western medicine. He does a good job of explaining how both can work together and benefit from each other. The office staff here is excellent as well. My insurance can be tricky to process, but it was processed quickly here with no issues or delays. I also appreciate how friendly and kind the staff are every time I arrive. I know when I walk in the door that I'll be greeted with a friendly smile.

I've been going to Lysa for a little over a decade now and she never ceased to amaze me. Last week I visited her and as she was taking my pulse, she asked me if I had been drinking? I don't drink, aside from Kombucha (which has small traces of alcohol). She told me something was going on with my liver, my blood levels were low and she also mentioned my liver was doing a lot of detoxing. I was confused for a moment, then I remembered I had been drinking several cups of a tea called "Food for the Blood" for a few weeks. She told me to stop drinking it. You can ask if they have something to help with whatever is bothering you. If you don't need medicine, they also have some dried goods available in bulk jars if you know what you want for cooking/eating (e.g. goji berries, dried red dates, preserved fruit/wah mui), as well as tea and snacks (Chinese crackers, cookies, moon cakes!), cooking sauces, preserved goods/condiments, and noodles. It is a small shop with mostly dried preserved medicines and ingredients, but they have a curated selection of other goods (all dried or canned/bottled). Their prices on everything that I purchased were extremely fair. The owner was so kind and friendly. We were running about 10 minutes late, but we called them and let them know. When we arrived, the front desk staff barely said anything to us and just whisked us back into the massage room. They barely welcomed us, they didn't ask about any focus areas or preferences, and it seems like they were not the strongest communicators. We got a very basic massage with a mix of back, legs, and arms. It was not at all a deep tissue massage. It was not relaxing. It was not worth it. I didn't feel anything at the end; like, I might as well not have gotten a massage at all. When we were done, they whisked us to the counter to pay. Again, not very friendly or communicative. There is a sign on the counter that says there is a $5 charge for paying with credit card, but thankfully they did not charge us that. The place is very barebones, like the service. They have about 6 massage rooms. We were the only ones there, and I got the impression there was only more than one staff person there because we booked in advance.
