I would give zero stars if I could. I booked a massage for a Monday afternoon. When I showed up for my appointment the door was locked. I called the number and the woman said a masseuse had called in sick so they couldn't see me. No courtesy call, nothing. Not only was I furious that I had driven there for no reason, but I also wasted money on a babysitter as well. The woman just gave excuses and did not take responsibility. This place gets an A+ for professional, cleanliness, and good location, as well as good service. But I'd give it a C when comes to variety of technique and deep tissue quality of massage. As someone who suffers from chronic neck pain, I really need someone who can get in the muscle deep. So when I say I need a deep tissue massage, I mean I need DEEP. Most of the time, I have to direct my masseuse what to focus on and what I need in terms of pressure and most of the time they listen. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I was paired up with a female masseuse who was sweet enough in manner but didn't seem to speak much English so when I asked her to only focus on my neck or when I kept asking for deeper pressure, she was respond in agreement but then would proceed to continue doing what I asked her not to do. I specifically asked her to only focus on my upper back/neck area and not to do my whole body. She did work on my upper area but then proceeded to do the rest of my body when I asked her not to. I know they are trained to do full body massages but the purpose of getting a massage for a lot folks is to get some relief from pain or tight muscles with specific attention to problem areas. If I'm going to pay an inordinate amount of money for an hour massage, I'd rather not have it wasted on parts of my body I don't need worked on. Needless to say, I realized I can't get what I really need here, so while I appreciated the good service overall, I will continue my journey for a great masseuse elsewhere. read more

Traveling on business from out of state I was looking for a nearby place to get a deep tissue massage to relive some back pain. I was able to get in the next morning. The facility is clean and well appointed. The customer service was excellent. After some minor paperwork I was immediately shown my room. The massage therapist (Jill) did an excellent job. Able to focus on the area in my back until the pressure was relieved. Great experience, professional, comfortable setting and my back is much better. Imagine a dentist/doctor/restaurant cancelling your appointment because you didn't answer a call to confirm that you made the appointment...THE SECOND TIME. Well, That's what happened to my wife and I. I had made a couples appointment online for my wife's birthday on July 4th. Massage Forever cancelled my initial appointment that day because they decided they were not going to work on a holiday (even though they allowed me to schedule for that day online). But fine, that's understandable as its a Holiday after all. When they called I rescheduled for the next day on July 5th. So on July 5th, we get there 15 minutes before and they receptionist tells me our appointment was cancelled. Not just cancelled but given to another person. Why? Because I didn't answer the call 2 hours before our appointment to re-confirm what I had confirmed just 2 days prior. She tells me they do that in case an appointment is a no-show. I told her that's fine but we actually showed up and shouldn't be cancelled because somebody else was a no show. I get cancelling an appointment if a person is 15-20 minutes late. But to cancel an appointment prior to showing up, because the person MIGHT not show up is ridiculous. They didn't even offer to get us in the next session. She said we could come back tomorrow. We ended up leaving extremely angry, ruining a big part of the birthday experience. So Fuck them very much for that. I'd like to rate this establishment based on how they actually do their massages, but in this case the receptionist and their policy sucks. They clearly double book and are just looking for excuses to cancel appointments, wasting your time and theirs. Luckily there are many other massage businesses in the area. I pulled a muscle in my back while cleaning (if I didn't feel old already I did after this) plus I had this sore in my neck so I decided to try Massage Forever because it's down the street from where I live. I was easily able to schedule online. Payment is collected after the service is completed. I had to waiT about 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be taken back to a room. I chose a deep tissue massage hoping this style would relieve my pain. It did help my back but not my neck. My massuse was very light on the touch and even when I asked for more pressure it was still light. For $80 before tip, it definitely was not worth it. If I get another massage in the future I'd try somewhere else. read more

I have visited Massage Forever twice now; once for a 60 minute Swedish massage with Kim and yesterday for a 90 minute Stress Release with Sam. My Swedish massage was pleasant although I noticed there was quite a bit of acupressure and some reflexology incorporated. Kim also used some Thai massage techniques like stretching the muscles and physically pulling limbs to realign them. My Stress Release was wonderful. I selected the tea tree and lemon oil aromatherapy and my massage paid a lot of attention to the tension in my upper back/neck/ and head. Sam also used a lot of hot towels on my back and feet. One thing I like about this spa is that at the beginning of my massage I was given a diagram of the human body where I could identify areas I wanted to focus on. I think it helps the masseuse plan their time and know where they should concentrate. I also enjoy making appointments online. Parking is available on the street and in the parking garage next to the library. The spa itself is nicely remodeled and the spa rooms are on par with the Lorian and Ritz. Soft music and lighting, and aromatherapy. The beds are heated and they offer fluffy goose down pillows for your head while you are lying face up. Unlike some other spa goers I could not hear anything outside the room but it's possible I came at slower times. Naturally this is a spa experience on a budget- there are no fluffy bathrobes, locker rooms or a steam room but it is a solid step up from other places. read more

It was easy to make an appointment whether it was over the phone or on their website. We were seen right away. During COVID-19 season, it was one of few places that did couple massages, and yes, we were asked to keep our masks on during the session. The session itself, we never got the ladies' names, but they were able to find my knots and did a full body massage (arms, legs, back, shoulders, neck, and head). I had a same day appointment for a 90 minute prenatal massage and was excited to finally have all my tense muscles and knots worked on, but was extremely disappointed at the experience. My massage therapist Amy was not very experienced and did not use enough pressure even after I told her to please use firmer pressure. In fact, it felt like all she was doing was rubbing oil all over my body with very light movements. After she finished I felt exactly the same as when I walked in. After a full day of having a heating pad on it not helping, I found Massage Forever nearby and called to see if they had a massage option that would help. They were extremely nice and helpful fitting me in very last minute! I ended up getting a deep tissue massage (which yes can be uncomfortable as is). I didn't catch the masseuse name--but she did an AMAZING job. She asked me if what she was doing was too painful but helped to target the specific area at the beginning and the end. They even added a gel lotion before I left to help alleviate the pain! Happy to say I woke up the next morning and the pain was gone! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I am so traumatized. The therapist was touching me inappropriately!!! He was massaging my butt for a really long time, and it was obvious I was squirming and uncomfortable. Booked a couples massage for our anniversary, sadly it was a poor experience. The female was so rough on my back that it was still tender and sore to the touch 6 days later. She took her shoes off so she could walk around quietly, but her feet stunk terribly, so the entire time she was near my head, the smell was very off putting. There is no way this place is a 4 star massage... upon entering we waited to be acknowledged by the front desk staff while she was on the phone, no problem. She handed us the usual forms to fill out before a massage and we sat down. Out popped an angry client from the first massage room... apparently her and her husband were waiting 45 minutes for the therapist to come in for their couples massage and no one ever came. Ummmm first red flag. She asked to speak to a manager and had to wait even longer. We felt bad for them. While we were waiting (our appointment was at noon and we got called back at 12:15), a woman walked in to inquire about a massage. The receptionist didn't even acknowledge her presence, so after a few minutes, she walked out. Red flag 2. When we got called back, we were directed into the first massage room, the same one the couple who never received a massage came out of. I told them they never changed the sheets and she ran in to see if the beds were clean. Awkward. And red flag 3. When our massage therapists came in they didn't even ask our names (I went with a girlfriend) so it was obvious they didn't read or care about the paperwork. Red flag 4, and not to mention dangerous. We also never got any choice of massage oil like other people did. I definitely don't think the massage therapists have had any sort of formal training (I'm sorry if I am wrong). However, my massage was more of a rub-down instead of an actual massage. Meanwhile, my girlfriend asked her therapist to not go as rough twice. She was sore for a week. Our 1 hour massage was only 50 minutes. The receptionist said 10 minutes are reserved for changing and consultation... what consultation?! So it's actually a 50 minute massage. We were awkwardly handed water from a paper cup as we were about to walk out the door. Mine was hot and my girlfriend's was cold... no lemon tea or chocolate like other people received. We booked a couples massage today and we were so impressed we had to leave a review. Every detail from the front desk service to the massage itself was phenomenal. We showed up early and the woman at the front desk asked if we were tired and if we would like to take a nap in our massage room before our scheduled time. She escorted us into the room (which was extremely neat and clean),turned the sheets down and gave us the space to ourselves to decompress before our massage. When the two masseuses (Mickey and Angie) entered, they were silent and maintained the calm ambience. This is one of my favorite spots. Every time I come in, my experience is customer service focused. The staff is always very attentive, and I feel comfortable talking to the staff. This isn't necessarily a fancy spa. There's no locker room or quiet waiting room to relax. That being said, I love the environment, and I consider it to be a cut above most places. Everything is newly renovated and very clean. The decorations make a calming environment. There is nice meditation music, relaxing low lighting, and those aromatherapy steamers in the rooms. I find the massage techniques to be consistent between therapists. I like a lot of pressure, and always say so, and the deep tissue massages I get I find to be relaxing and therapeutic. I've seen several different people, but yesterday I saw Angie. She did a great job working on the knots in my back and I left feeling very relaxed and taken care of. I also brought my Mother here for a Mother's Day treat. She also very much enjoyed her experience. I'm not sure I want to share my fav secret spot with everyone. I have gone to this place for 6 massages over the past 5-6 months. I bought a package after the first massage with Gina who did an excellent, deep tissue massage focusing on the areas that I noted. That continued for another 2 months until Gina left. Since then each massage has been very poor with Mary, Monica and Amy evidently having no training in deep-tissue massage. None knew how to break-up the knots in muscles. None focused on the areas that I noted. Some used hot stones that were cold while Mary used ones that burned. Overall, this is a place to avoid. It is worse than Massage Envy, which itself is mediocre at best. The glowing positive reviews read like they were planted. Don't believe them. read more

Had my first massage with this provider and am impressed. Jimmy has very good technique, using sweeping motions to start and getting a sense of which muscle groups need work. I didn't indicate any particular area on the chart I filled out because I wanted to see if the therapist was experienced enough to figure this out by sense and feel. Once he had gotten an idea of where there is the most tension in my back (shoulders) he began using very small manipulations to the muscles, which allowed him to then do much deeper work.
