I just got back from trying Sunshine Massage Center, and I'm so glad I decided to stop in. I saw Tina as a walk-in, so I really didn't know what to expect, but from the moment I arrived, she was incredibly kind and even offered me a bottle of water. I requested a 30-minute deep tissue massage, and it was absolutely divine. The space was spotless, and Tina worked through every pressure point with the perfect amount of pressure, checking in just enough to make sure I was comfortable. One thing I especially appreciated was that she didn't talk throughout the massage. That's one of my biggest pet peeves because it makes it hard to truly relax, and she struck the perfect balance of being attentive while also giving me the quiet and space to enjoy the experience. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. I'll definitely be coming back and plan to become a regular! Thank you, Tina! read more

The best massage I've ever had! We love to get the 1 hour couples massage- it's truly amazing and the workers are so kind.

I have been coming to this establishment for massages (Deep Issue) for about 2 years. I started with Lena who was very good at start, but disappeared/ left. So, I was recommended to try Tina by a friend who gave her high accolades who stated she is very good masseuse and friendly. The quality service was expert and skill level was exemplary. The environment is clear and comfortable along with the right atmosphere to make a person feels comfortable. It is easy to make appointments and staff is kind and courteous. read more

I was here for a conference and had an impromptu massage, I was able to be scheduled immediately. I even got there early for my appointment and I had no wait, they fit me in right away. It was a perfect, firm massage. I greatly appreciated if and if I'm ever back in the area will be sure to return. read more

Don't really know what's going on at this place. I've been going off and on for 8 to 10 years. Had a great masseuse there off and on and over the last year I started going and Lena was there who was great she mysteriously disappeared and YILIA took her place Who was very very good to get the knots out. Did my feet excellent and was really really good now all of a sudden she's gone not sure what to do???whether to go back or find a new place. read more

I tried to give this place one last chance before I wrote this review. I went here a few months ago and the lady was just rubbing oil all over me and not massaging me. This time I asked for hard pressure and to focus on my lower back. She did neither. When I went to pay, the lady working at the front desk saw my tip of $10 and proceeds tells me that the tip is 30% (she may have meant 20%) and asked if I wanted to add $5. I said No, the massage wasn't that good. I thought to myself--she better be glad I left a tip at all. Sunshine Massage Center needs to be stopped from telling people what to tip when the service received was poor! I will never go back. Stay away from this place! read more

I was looking for a massage while staying in Arlington. This place was very close, the lower rating concerned me, but as I read some of the lowest reviews I saw it was more related to a tip request then the quality and price of the massage. I tried and was very pleased with the massage. It was a very good firm massage. The masseuse did an excellent job working the knots out of my muscles and the hour long massage including hot stone and hot towel treatment. At $75 plus tip I thought it was a great deal. I will definitely be back. read more

Horrible massage. If you are looking to relax this is not the place. I received the recommendation from a close friend. I have visited twice. The place feels cheap, but clean. Sheets are thin, walls are not to ceiling. I have had massages at the best spas all over the world, this was the worse. The only reason I continued to patronize was their walk in availability worked for a quick fix in between my regular massages. My first massage was by a woman, it was adequate but not amazing, no lotion and hot stones. The second massage was better but again not amazing. The last massage was my final straw. A man did the massage. He was unprofessional, strokes were unconnected, his technique lacked knowledge of the body and he did things I've never experienced in a massage like stuck his fingers in my ears...that was the final straw. I ended the massage and as others have posted was still asked to leave a tip. If you go do NOT let the chubby man with big fat fingers and no massage experience touch you. read more

Massage was nothing special. What made me want to write this review is the unprofessional environment. The woman was talking to the guy mid massage. I also clearly told him I prefer a woman, and WHILE she was massaging me he comes in the room!! She paused twice to go deal with something. Overall just unprofessional, rushed, basic, and underwhelming. read more

Recently my wife and I visited the Sunshine Massage Center in Arlington VA. where we enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing "Couples Massage". Definitely a Five Star Experience!                                                                This facility is spotless, and our massage was excellent! If ever you find yourself in the need to unwind for an hour this is the place. read more

I had a 30 min deep tissue massage. Lisa was really great, amazing. It was my first deep tissue massage and didn't know what to expect. It hurt, but that was because my muscles were tight. 30 mins was more than enough for me to handle. I'll be back with another 30 min deep tissue massage with Lisa again. Tip: BRING CASH. Cash cost is $40 with card is $47 excluding tip. read more

I'm speechless, 2 minutes before my massage a lady called and unfortunately I couldn't understand her, so I walked in and the front desk guy said sorry I know you had an appointment but unfortunately we took another customer accidentally, this is not the way you run your business!!! I just moved to this area and could be your regular once a week customer. read more

Sunshine Massage Center - Massage Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

Excellent service and excellent massage. Great bargain. Halfway through my massage my masseuse informed me I would need to drink water afterwards and she was right! I got up so refreshed that I was able to go for a run, something I haven't been able to do in forever due to pain. Simply amazing. The HOT towels were everything! I also was not rushed and the time didn't start until the massage began vs. other places that include time undressing and dressing as part of the massage time. 60 mins for $75 is a steal in 2023. I look forward to becoming a regular. read more

Angela was great!! I had a pain in my upper shoulder from working out, and her technique was supurb!

WOREST MASSAGE EVER!!! I literally just got in my car.. first the walls don't go all the way to the ceiling and it's a curtain as a door. I could hear EVERYTHING that's was going on, from the dell ringing every time someone came through the door, the phone ringing, and even the pain of the next guy in the room next to me because of the "massage therapist" roughing him up.... I had a male therapist(he never introduce his self). Majority of the massage was through the sheet even after I expressed to his that it was uncomfortable! It only focused on my back. I get massages ALL the time my ex was a massage therapist, so I can definitely tell that this guy wasn't license and haven't been to massage school. All he did was poke, rub, and beat me to death. I had to tell him to stop several time because he was hurting me. It was the longest 60mins of my life!!! When it finally was over and I walked out to pay(even though it wasn't even worth $1) I had him the $60. The he have a nerve to ask for a tip!!?! Then some lady come from the back and say "tip" like I didn't understand the first time... I then proceeded to let them both know how dissatisfied I was. And he told me but he worked hard.. (yea hard beating me)... moral of the story if it have more bad yelp reviews than good, stay away fine that place. And STAY AWAY FROM HERE!! Don't waste your $60 read more

Wendy is excellent. She really works out the kinks and does a great job easing the tightness in my upper back. This is a bare-bones place, and there's nothing fancy about it but it's a hidden gem that I would highly recommend and currently it's in my top two list. read more

Yesung was amazing! I work out, have an intense job and it all was felt in my upper back and hamstrings. I've been getting massages for years and recently moved here. I have to say, he was AMAZING! Great pressure, very professional and knew how to find my spots that needed work with our me telling him. I live in the Bartlett above Whole Foods so it's easy to walk to in 2 minutes. I found my massage therapist! He is easy to remember because he is the only male therapist there! read more

The worst customer service , specially Tina , she is rude, unprofessional !!!! During my Last massage someone was walking and talking outside to the point I had to stop my massage and ask the lady to go outside and tell her to be quite but then I find out her name is Tina and everyone is afraid of her !! I wanna put a complain but they are afraid to give me the manager or owner number, and I let that go. Today I made apt for 3 people and 10 mins before my apt I received a call from someone and she told me they only can do one at a time !! And then she said come come I went and the gentleman in the front ( nice person ) told me that Tina got a walk in and didn't see his note ... Hope owner knows that this is not customer service and if Tina is a manager then she better step down as people are afraid of her rather than respect her. read more

I'm hesitate to even write a review because I'm afraid others will discover this place. I just had one of the best massages I've ever gotten. Lisa was able to get knots out that have been in my back for YEARS. Incredibly friendly and professional with very good prices. I was easily able to make a same day appointment. I am so happy to have found this place. read more

Great massage at a good price! Mei worked on my shoulders and neck like I asked and she did a great job working the rest of my body. The wife received a massage at the same time and she thoroughly enjoyed hers as well. She didn't ask for a specific area to be massaged, but they found her back to be tight and worked to loosen it up. Overall a great experience and we will be back! read more

The massage was decent enough, but I found it very odd that they don't use any massage oil on your body and almost the entire massage was done through a sheet. I had already decided I wouldn't be coming back based on those two factors alone, but then when I left I was informed that they require customers to tip a minimum of 20%...Um, what?... I'm normally more than happy to give a good tip when I feel it's well-deserved, but being informed that 20% is "required" was not cool...last time I checked this is not a restaurant and I am not a party of five or more... read more

Offers high quality massages at affordable rates. I get considerable relief from my chronic pain and they have convenient evening and weekend hours. Far better in communicating with customers than many of the other massage places I've tried. read more

The prices are a bargain and the therapists do good work. Be aware that if you ask hard pressure (which I got and will get again), you will get a sharp elbow hard into your muscle knots. I did a couples massage with Gloria C. and she said she'll get medium pressure next time. The place doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but is clean and professional, and can't be beat by the price. No idea about parking, we walked to the place and it was easy to find. read more

I was able to make an appointment a few hours before, and it started on time. My masseuse was a really nice lady, who did apply a lot of pressure (despite asking for medium). I was kind of grunting in pain and she didn't let up till I explicitly said "that's enough". I think her rationale was my back was REALLY tight, which it was. She made the right call, because my back felt like jelly after and my back pain was gone! Another issue I had was the walls didn't go all the way up to the ceiling, so I heard people getting massages next to me. Thankfully, it was a slow day and everyone was very quiet. Nobody talks during massages anyway. Though that pressure was slightly unpleasant, it was still a relaxing massage and I was quite sleepy towards the end. I only got 30 minutes but will definitely come back for an hour. The pricing is amazing! Its $35 for 30 mins, which is really cheap for the area. read more

They are very kind and gentle. The price is reasonable. They close at 10 pm, so I can get a massage right before sleep. I highly recommend this place! read more

My husband and I had a one-hour massage in the double room. Jenny did great deep tissue massage with me, she applied nice pressure on the places I needed most and it relaxed the stiff areas of my body. Before I knew it, the hour was up and I surprisingly wanted more!  They ensured the room sanitizing, cleaning and quiet.  I'm grateful for that. read more

Very high quality massage, I asked for an hour. The professional massage of the massage therapist in place, let my tight back muscles get relieved, the environment is elegant and quiet, I will come again! read more

Save yourself! I just left feeling horrible. Went in a room barely covered by what appears to be a window curtain. Could see inside every room. During the massage, the lady (who was almost certainly not professionally trained) talked loudly to another person who worked there- shouted to her at one point- and left the room several times for several minutes at a time. There was an extension outlet directly below my face while I was on the table which is just not safe! After it was over she left the curtain to the room OPEN, for all to see me! Due to the exceptionally bad experience I chose not to tip. She insisted on 20% tip and in a moment of weakness I gave her $5 and she was extremely upset. I left shaking. It was horrible. read more

Clean, professional, and economical! 60 minute deep tissue massage from Yeaung was just what I needed following my motorcycle accident. Called when they opened at 10am and got it right away 30 min later. Very convenient location! Thank you, read more

I've been a valued customer for probably 7-10 massages. I live right next to the place, so it's great. They have reasonable rates and you get what you pay for - ok massages. However, this review is for my last massage I got - the last one ever from this place. It was around 7pm Sunday and there was only one woman manning the desk. I asked if they were busy and could take a walk in. They could. She led me back to a room where I prepared for my massage, again this is my 9th or so massage here. Then, they pulled a switcheroo and sent some strange man into my room! He said "ok ready!?" I'm like dude, no. You are not doing massages. You are wearing jeans, a grungy shirt, and have your work keys clanging around on your belt loop. It was clear to me that they were under staffed and he was just trying to fill in. Maybe he gives good massages, I have no idea. But if they would like to ask "are you comfortable with a male or female masseuse? " it would be a huge help. Not a switcheroo. So I told him I'm more comfortable with a female around close contact with my body. He acquiesced and said oh, ok. Well then somebody came in, and it was 100%, totally, abundantly clear that she had zero energy or effort to give a massage. It was completely lazy. She would push on a part of my body then just...sit there. Maybe hoping I fall asleep. She was clearly watching the clock. I have sympathy for the person, but not the company. If they have crazy hours until 10pm on a night, they need to be giving massages worth $60 until that night. This was terrible, I was just laying there like oookkk....is this is the massage? So lesson learned. Go when they are somewhat more busy or earlier so that they are not running out of people to give you a massage or they haven't worked 12 hours straight. (again, I feel bad for anybody that is overworked in that business. Tough stuff!) Also, you should call ahead and specify that you feel comfortable with a male or female masseuse. Terrible experience and absolute waste of money. one star! read more

That was a really good 60 minute massage with May! Don't know about other people experiences, but she knew what she was doing, she paid attention to the right spots and I think it's the best massage your money can buy in the area! Will definitely revisit! read more

Love this place, they always nail it. I love that it's so close to the metro and very easy getting too.

I am a big fan of this place! My parents actually found it first and recommended it. Prices are reasonable and I like deep tissue massages so everyone massage therapist I have tried has been great! Good pressure and they are good at finding the spots which need some TLC! read more

Went with husband to get massage, not asking for a couple massage. We were happy; ny husband who is always picky loved his massage. One of our best in a while,- very professional. I would rate higher but I was turned off by a message on my voice mail telling us our therapist "not interested in taking us," we were about 5 minutes late but we did not expect to get stuck in marathon traffic. We were prepared to take the cut in time due to traffic issues. Clean salon, bathroom could be better but okay. The massage is very good, will be back. read more

WORST massage experience ever - it is really too bad I can't give ZERO STARS!! I arrived for my 60 minute massage and within the first 10 minutes the women had left the room 3 times to deal, I am guessing, with other customers!! If that was not bad enough my masseuse was clearly never trained and was doing a HORRIBLE job!! To make things even worse (yes things got worse!) a few minutes later another woman is standing outside my room talking, talking and talking to my masseuse! At that point I walked out and I'll obviously never be back again!! read more
