It wouldn't surprise to find out this is true. We will see soon enough. Today I am at Crystal City and I am walking the the shops of the area. I have come across to massage places so far. Many shopes have closed so I hope I haven't missed the place. Well I did miss the place. When you go up the first metro steps, three are shop entrances on the left or right hand side. If you go to the right, you will walk down a hallway with great smelling food. When you get to the end there are two atm machines and away on your left near two other doors on a bridge to know where...not true, but I don't know where it goes. I spoke with one of the staff members who was sitting around looking bored. He was all set to give me a massage, but I prefer female massge therapists. I realized I should have made an appointment. I will be sure to do this next time. The area of the place isn't to hard to find, but it is in area not visited by to many people. The massage rooms have none see through curtains that were properly closed unlike the other massage store I visited today. Went in and got a massage, it was great! I didn't get the man's name but he definitely knows what he is doing! Got a massage for 30 minutes with an extra minute for $33. Prices are pretty good compared to other places! They have small rooms with a comfortable massage bed, soft layer paper, thicker than the ones at the hospital, and a heater to keep you warm. Feels a bit sketchy only because the place is located far in the back and hardly any people pass by, but it's very safe. There are seats for people to sit in case you want to bring someone else along. He did have a bit of a heavy hand but it is worth the feeling afterwards. 10/10 would go again! read more

I had no idea this little gem was in the underground Crystal Shops area, which I do not like to go to because it's a bit confusing. Luckily Relaxation Station is easy to find since it's located in the alley just around the corner from Auntie Anne's Pretzel shop. Charlie did my massage and it was one of the very best massages I've ever had. This massage meant even more to me since I'm a new mom and it was my first chance for some self-care time in the month since my baby was born. First of all, I'm no novice to massage. I get massages regularly and have been doing so for years around the country and around the world. This was one of the best. Charlie massaged our sore muscles and tendons I didn't even know were there or that could be massaged. I feel 100x better than when I went in! Be aware that this is truly a no-frills spot, but with excellent pricing and service. If you're truly after a great massage, I highly recommend Relaxation Station. I would love to give them more stars. I've come here at least 20 times. The women are strong and amazing. Everyone is professional. I can always get a quick appointment which I love. The prices are reasonable and the loyalty card is great! The only thing is it's not very spa like where it's quiet, you can hear people talking over the music or kids or something in the hallway and it echos. Nothing fancy, simply a Great & relaxing massage every time. Located in the alley of the CC Shops this little tucked away gem never disappoints. The staff are friendly and from my experience no matter who I get they do a phenomenal job. Sure you may have to wait as they're busy with a customer, but they're worth it. I usually like to do the full body 60 min /$60 massage which also comes with reflexology. Don't forget a loyalty card, after 10 massages of 30mins (or more) you get a free 30 min massage. I had a long flight from the west coast back to DC and got off the plane with kink in my neck and about four major knots throughout my shoulders and feeling like total crap. I found this place out of desperation and so happy I did! I got worked on by Peter and he found knots that i didn't even know he existed. Really good technique AND massages you the full 60 min unlike other places that start the time before the massage even starts. Fighting my way to the metro, I usually pass the strange, dimly lit corridor where Relaxation Station is located. One day, I got out of meetings early with a crick in my neck and decided to give it a go. The establishment certainly doesn't give off the vibe of a day spa- but the cut-and-dry price list doesn't either. The location is odd, and the set-up is very minimalist, but for the price- you can't beat it! I was greeted immediately upon looking at the posted price list, next to a hanging box stuffed with similarly marked brochures. I was swiftly brought into a tiny area with sheets as divider walls, took off my nylons and shoes, and laid face down on the standard massage table. My masseuse was Jade, who was fabulous. The massage was phenomenal. She often asked if she was using too much pressure, but the level was perfect all the way through. I get massages for the benefits, and Jade was excellent and releasing the knots and tension in my back, neck and shoulders. I was able to make comments about what I thought was particularly effective, and Jade would repeat the movements a couple of extra times. After one hour, I went to the counter to pay. Jade offered me a small cup of water, watched me down it, and offered to refill it. I used a credit card to pay and gave her cash as a tip, though there was an option to add the tip on the credit line. I received zero pressure or comments about gratuity, which I thought was very professional. If you're looking for a place where they put cucumber in your water, spritz the place with exotic essential oils, and charge $110 for a one hour mediocre massage, go somewhere else. There's a bit of a language barrier present so I made sure to just point to what I wanted on the services menu. I generally do not like the idea of people I don't know footering with me, but while in Crystal City recently I wandered past this store in the mall where the wee woman was offering free two minute neck rubs. I sat down, enjoyed it, asked for a 20 minute session and was skillfully upsold to a one hour massage. You are basically in the corridor of a basement mall and you go behind the sheets they have hanging up , doff the shirt, socks and shoes, empty the pockets, loosen the trousers, lie down and off you go. Massages are probably a wee bit more therapeutic when you have the sound of running water in a Zen fountain along with Enya playing ( is n't that a law in most states?) here you have the hustle and bustle of the mall as your background music, bu the massge was decent enough. read more

I just found this little gem, and am sad I didn't find it sooner! I was getting something engraved next door, and wandered past Relaxation Station. Like the previous reviewer, I was lured in by the "free sample," a two minute neck and shoulder massage. After my sample, I said "I'm gonna need some more of that," and got a 10 minute massage. They offer 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 60, and 90 minute massages. To give a sense of the prices, when I went there, it was only $12 for a 10 minute massage, and $90 for a 90 minute massage. The reason I'm now such a fan of this place is the fact that it's so convenient, and they offer short massages that I can just grab on my way home from the Metro. I didn't have to even take off my shirt for the 10 minute massage, which focused mainly on my back and shoulders (though they did pay a little attention to my legs and arms). The massage therapist that I had was awesome. He had great pressure and great technique, and he got a lot done during my short appointment. I feel like getting a massage is something for a special occasion, something you have to carve out special time for. But getting a 10 minute massage here is something that will definitely become a part of my weekly routine. It's like dessert: you can get a "cheesecake" massage, the 60-90 minute ones that are for special occasions for students like me, or you can get a "cookie" massage, a 10 minute one that is a small and reasonable indulgence! read more

Massages cost around a dollar a minute and the people there give a good quality massage. They have a punch card that they give you that entitles you to a free 30 minute massage after 10 visits. Each previous massage must be 30 or 60 minutes each. I've tried just about everyone there and have not been disappointed. Their Full body massages consist of you nude (underwear on) under a blanket and they use oils and deep pressure. This place is no nonsense quality Chinese massage. I needed a massage on a Sunday and everywhere near Alexandria was booked for my last min appt. It's a walk in place, inside of a rather quiet underground mall in Crystal City that is busy M-F from people on lunch break from the companies nearby. So I wasn't expecting RR to be open on a Sunday, and if they were, I didn't expect them to have an opening considering they only have about 5 massage beds. But I called the number on this Yelp page, and the kind lady told me to come right in. To my surprise, I was the only patron for most of my massage (you can hear others come in, people talking etc). Massage was great. I usually have men massage therapist, but this woman (who was quite small) was forceful and applied the pressure I needed, with elbows and all that. I didn't realize how kinked up I was till the massage was over and I felt relaxed and had that massage high you get from a really great massage. Prices are the best around too. $1 per min, in summary; and you can choose 10-120 minutes... prices gets cheaper the longer the massage. ACCEPTS credit cards. No frills, to be sure, but gets the job done well. It's Chinese-style massage so if you're looking for a pampering Swedish full-body massage then this isn't what you're looking for. But if you're looking for pressure, the guy who works there will deliver. I was more in the pampering mood when I had my massage craving so it didn't exactly hit the spot, but now I know what to expect. I would definitely go back in the future to focus on a specific problem area, or to do 10 or 20 minutes of reflexology on its own. You pay by the minute ($10 per 10 minutes), credit card accepted for both service and tip. It's a walk-in style place; I called for an appointment and they didn't take my name but instead asked me if I was the 3:00 appointment when I got there (which was great because they didn't care that I was 20 minutes late). English is not the forte, but it's sufficient to get the job done. Both staff there were friendly. I was late because the place was hard to find within the Crystal City shops. The Yelp map is wrong--it's in an area called the Alley Shops. DO NOT BOTHER to make reservations. They don't honor them. We made reservations and drove in from Fairfax County to find that only one of the requested two massage therapists would be available. "Would one of you mind waiting a half hour?" Of course we would. Each of us walking around Crystal City spouseless for a half hour defeats the purpose of getting massages at the same time. "We had reservations for two for 1:30." "Yes, but then these people showed up." In other words, they will always take the bird in hand. The model works because the people who came before us gave them the money that we would have given them if we hadn't left in disgust. They lose money on the back end though, because we won't be returning. If you can't trust someone to honor a reservation, why would you trust them with your body? read more

I've walked by this place many times and based on these great reviews here, thought I'd give a 15 minute shoulder/back massage a try. I feel amazing. I was seen fairly quickly after arriving. As mentioned in other reviews, the place is small, but clean. It's off a busy corridor, so there is a lot of noise, but it kinda just blends into the overall hum. The masseuse was great. Very strong & efficient, really digging into my neck, back & shoulders. It was $18 for the 15 minutes and I'm so impressed, I may go back tomorrow and do 20 minutes. I had the little older Chinese lady who knows all the pressure spots to press and she was by far the best masseuse I've had in years of massages. You can just walk in without an appointment and see if they are available. If not, the longest I've waited is 20 minutes and I've been there over a dozen times. There is a Chinese man who does a killer foot massage which puts you at ease. Forget about those fancy fancy shops and go to this place. You will not regret it. read more

I accidentally stumbled upon this place a while ago wandering the crystal city underground and didn't think much of it. In the fall of 2016 my job moved me down to crystal city and getting lunch, I thought about going there to actually get a massage. I'm a veteran with near constant moderate back pain, so have visited quite a few massage places due to that, only to find you pay for a flashy decor, down tempo lounge music, and in the end, usually a mediocre, overpriced massage. Not this place. It's a no frills (but very clean), pay by the minute old-school Chinese massage joint. It's located off the beaten path around the corner from auntie anne's pretzels, hidden in plain site. On my lunch hour, I opted for a 40 minute massage at 40 bucks. Walked in without an appointment. I'm a bigger guy, so I was at first concerned that Jade, who is a petite little masseuse literally less than half my size, would not be able to get the knots out. Boy was I wrong. She seemed to find every aching knot and pressure point there was on my back, and applied the appropriate pressure that would give some past male masseuses I had a run for their money. Her 40 minute massage was better than the 90 minute massages I have had at many more expensive places. After the massage, she remained professional and never even hinted at a tip. Of course, I gave her a 75 percent tip for a job well done, and left the place feeling like a million bucks. If you want foo-foo decor, fancy props, and relaxing music, this isn't your place. If you want a no frills, reasonably priced, quality massage by someone that really takes pride in their job, you need to pay this establishment a visit. What an amazing spot for a no frills massage! I paid $60 for an hour long full body massage, including reflexology. Marke was great!! He found my trouble spots and made sure to point them out to me before really going at it. I don't mind a deep massage but very much appreciated the heads up before things got a bit uncomfortable.
