I didn't realize it because the price list was not displayed. So I checked the pricing until I got home and looked at the website. 3'2021 I booked and brought my husband here for a massage for our anniversary. This business is very easy to find. They do have a small parking lot on the side, or you can park on the street. It's with within walking distance to a lot of things so you can actually stay there for a while and tour the town a little bit. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a very nice gentleman who made sure my husband was taken care of right away. My husband was very impressed and appreciative of his massage. This place hit on all the spots  providing total relaxation. Everything with this place went great, I'm just kicking myself because I didn't notice the Yelp special they had and the Yelp special is half the price of what I paid! Walked in and requested a 1 hour massage, and only had to wait 20 minutes, although your wait time will vary depending on staff availability (regardless of scheduling an appointment or walking in). My masseuse was able to pinpoint my stress knots without prompting and spend extra time in those areas (shoulders and neck). Let me preface by saying I don't complain lightly. But after losing sleep and talking to friends who are massage therapists in and out of the area they urged me to share my experience. Here goes... Pros: walk in service. Less than the going rate for the area Cons: impersonal service. They leave the door/curtain (depending what type of room you're in) open so they can pop out when the front door opens to tell you how long of a wait. They also don't mind interrupting your massage to chat with each other. Dingy walls. Extremely small and paper thin sheets for draping. No lock on the only bathroom door. Jack, the massage therapist in question, didn't ask what I wanted until after I was on the table. Was very aggressive even tho I asked for medium pressure at most RED FLAGS: while tucking the paper thin sheet in my undies waistband he pulled them further down that was necessary. Usually they don't pull them down at all, just tuck the sheet in the waistband. I tried to readjust a few times but he'd reset to where he had them so I assumed maybe I wasn't as exposed as I felt. He put a towel over my head, I assumed to keep any oil out of my hair. Is that normal? Idk. Not at any other place I've ever been. When I was face up he did the same thing which was even more odd because my hair was under me. If it slipped or I moved it he'd move it back. The room was pretty bright so I thought maybe it was acting as an eye mask of sorts He went way too far up my inner thigh than was comfortable or necessary. I adjusted twice and he backed off When I was face down he was leaning into the table and I am certain his genitals were in contact with my hand. I moved several times and so did he. I finally tucked my hand under my hip and he quit. During check out he was very sheepish and acting like my kids do when they know they've done something wrong and aren't sure how much trouble they'll get in. Being face to face took the vulnerability out of the equation but I was so stunned by it all that I just needed to get out of there asap You may ask why I didn't cut it short. Or confront him. I have asked myself that! While on the table I was asking myself was it possible it was a cultural difference. Was it possible my perception was wrong? Would I have felt the same way with a woman??? The short answer is I think my vulnerability got the better of me. Being face down and naked is a weird place to be confrontational from. I don't think it was cultural or gender differences. I think he's skilled at going to the very brink of behavior that would otherwise get him punched. I'm extremely disappointed in myself that I didn't cut it short. I ALWAYS trust my gut. Idk why I didn't go with it this time other than I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and he took advantage of it. All I can do now is post this and let you make your own call read more

It wasn't the best foot massage (I recommend Yang's in Vienna, it comes with a foot bath too), but it wasn't terrible either. This was my first visit to A Great Massage and it was fantastic. It was 4pm on a Friday when I decided to finally make a massage appt for my stiff body - I just couldn't move or even sit comfortably. 1) They immediately accommodated me, with a 5:30 opening, on a Friday, 2) I received texts regarding my eta and details on the parking situation, as it is in Old Town Alexandria and again 5:30 on a Friday. 3) As I pulled in the parking lot, Jay was standing outside near the driveway, waiting just for me to show up so he could show me their reserved spaces, 4) Jay also turned out to be my masseuse that afternoon...and he is incredible. He really goes above and beyond! I requested a 60min massage + 30min foot reflexology. Jay asked about my concerns and I told him all about my stiffness. He really really took great care of me and was super professional. A solid 4/5 stars for a relaxing 30- minute foot massage! I've been eyeing this place to try since I'm a member at Comfy Feet in DuPont and wanted to compare services. The chairs here are much more comfortable as they are made with vinyl and not fabric like at Comfy Feet where they are worn out. It's big and spacious inside and feels newly renovated. At first I was confused about how to enter but found the door actually on Duke St but you need to go around the whole building to get there. When I entered I was impressed at how big the space was. A nice lady and elderly man were at the desk. After a bit of confusion I understood that if I paid with cash then I could pay $30 for 30 mins but with credit card it would be $35. I figure I'd go find an ATM and they assured me I could do the massage first then go to the ATM. I thought that was nice. The elderly man then started on my massage and I explained I wanted 20 mins on my foot with plantar fasciitis and 10 on the other. He had to get the other lady to translate and once that was squared away all was fine. I noticed he set something on his phone and put it in between his feet and kept glancing at it during the massage. I wasn't sure if he was watching a timer or a tv show or something. It didn't seem to distract from my foot massage however and I thought he did a good job. A few times I felt myself drifting off and only a few did I had to grimace through some painful moments. Overall though it was a pleasant and relaxing massage. Toward the end the lady told me I could pay $30 with credit card or keep going for 60 mins for $50 which was v kind and a great deal! I didn't have the time unfortunately and went with the 30 mins, and was happy I didn't need to go find an ATM. A solid place for foot massages. They do body massages but didn't try those. I booked my appointment because I have been in extreme pain. I had a gentleman give me a great massage from this location about two years ago, but I don't think he works there anymore. And after receiving an email confirmation and two text confirmations the woman who was there on Thursday the 20th at 5:30 did NOT understand what was going on and then retired to the back, as if your saying "I don't understand " was sufficient. Not so great massage. I booked online for a massage a few hours later. It started out okay. The masseuse was rather brisque, led me to a room with zero explanation. Through broken English she told me to disrobe and left. Didn't provide a towel or anything but the sheet on the bed. She came back and 30 min into it, another lady came to replace her! The other lady was absolutely terrible. I told her numerous times she needed to use pressure, but she refused and just lightly ran her hands along my spine. Further, the massage had no rhyme or reason. She would massage my left hand, then go to the right shoulder, then to the lower back. There was no uniformity between the left and right sides. I actually ended the massage 30 min early. Also, check the online prices with the prices in house. The advertised price was $90 for 1.5 hours. I paid $80 for a full hour. Bait and switch. read more

This is one of the best massage places I've been to. I had bad lower back and shoulder pain and told the therapist to target these areas and he did an amazing job! The oil that they use smells sooo good! The spa is nicely decorated, clean, and warm (I almost fell asleep during the massage). The staff is super nice, helpful and welcoming. Went for a 90 min reflexology massage. Online it's advertised for $85. At checkout $90. The worst "reflexology" massage I have ever had. To start its insanely overpriced. I know I'm use to $25/hr in LA, and I accepted that it would be more when I saw the price. There is no foot soak, no head, neck, shoulder massage, and no back massage at the end. Still acceptable as maybe that's just how they do it (I have had foot massages all over the world and never have they skipped all of the above). The problem was she didn't know anything about reflexology. She basically just did long strokes on my calf's repeatedly while texting. When I called it out (for the third time) and told her only my feet (after an hour) she then proceeded to massage my heels only, she spent about 3 mins total between both feet on the pads and toes. Absolutely absurd. I still paid, but I did not tip... they have a sign that says 35% tip is mandator. The table was super uncomfortable and there was no back pillow or any adjustments to help. The location is no frills, which I'm fine with. There was no music until the last 20 mins and then it was really loud. People were in the waiting room chatting the whole time, there was nothing relaxing about it. 2 different people came in and were told they would have to wait for their appointments they had pre booked, both left. A lady came in just after me and I could tell she was annoyed. She had come in during the week to book a time for 2 couples massages, they only had 2 massage therapists available and could not do them simultaneously, she has also asked if they would wear gloves (monkey pox and all) and they initially said they didn't have any and she reminded them she confirmed when she booked that they did. Save yourself the bad overpriced massage, that may not be honored at the time you booked for, and go elsewhere. read more

The price on their website is incorrect, when you arrive there the menu indicates that all prices are higher. The massage itself was pretty weak and the massuese seemed annoyed the whole time. When it came time to pay, the massuese then suddenly pulls out a placard from behind the register (never displayed publicly) that says they require 15% tip. Don't go here!! Making a booking here means nothing. I was driving for over half an hour to go to this place and they text to tell me to come at 4pm when my appointment was for 3pm. They told me that the prior appointment was late, but rather than telling them they are going to have a short appointment they decided to push my appointment or say that I could go to their other location.
