She focused on an area lower than that side the whole time and I kept reminding her my pain was higher. Also during my massage we were having basic conversation. When I told her where I was from she started talking about politics and abortion in that area. Little did she know I work as a pro life advocate. Very unpleasant and not relaxing for me. After I told her to not talk about that I just wanted to relax she got real quiet like she knew she messed up. Overall would not go back again.

She wasn't pushy on different services or even coming back. She applied just the right amount of pressure and was super professional. I can't wait to come back. Just a note. Journey Therapeutic Massage is in suite 320. I think it's officially called the canary retreat as other professionals share the same office space. I've struggled with chronic low back pain after a MVA as well as "office syndrome"-muscle strain and poor posture from repetitive desk work, and Deanna has done an amazing job releasing that muscle tension through massage, trigger point therapy, cupping, hot stone and other modalities. In the end, I picked Garden Wellness Center because it looked pretty good, which means the choice was essentially a shot in the dark. It seems I lucked out! Deanna is an experienced massage therapist (7years) and really has a feel for the knots that have been torturing me and a talent for working them out. She used a combination of techniques including hot stone and cupping and was very willing to explain how each technique worked. Great massage. I will definitely be back.
