Ever heard the term, "hurts so good"?? Well, I experienced the most wonderful traditional Thai massage that was so divine and it hurt SO GOOD!! From the moment I walked in I KNEW this was going to be an amazing experience! First impression is always the welcome of the staff and the reception area. Both were immaculate! I was greeted with an enthusiastic welcome and an encouraging smile!! Loved that! After a very brief wait in the serene/relaxing reception area, I was led to the back. I was given an outfit to change into (you're fully clothed during the Thai massage) and it was soft and very comfortable! I had an "idea" of what a Thai massage was so I wasn't blindsided when I walked into the room and saw the pallet; that the massage was to take place on, on the floor. This type of massage doesn't take place on the typical massage table. The whole vibe of the room was a mix of a relaxing spa and HEAVEN! My therapist came into the room and the magic started!! While stretching my body, she found knots on my body that I didn't even know I had! She contorted my body in ways I didn't know it w could bend! She then got a walker and began walking on my back...my legs...my feet, my arms...my hands...you get it! The only place she didn't walk on was my head (they offer a separate massage especially for your head and I plan on checking it out as well)!! The head massage is called an "Indian head" massage . My body is usually riddled with constant pain (especially my hips and legs). Can you imagine my excitement when I got up from the floor and there was not a pain in my body to be found?!!! I got the massage on May 12th and to this day the pain has not returned (it is May 19th)!!! I had a Thai massage with Jennifer. Jennifer has no business working as a massage therapist. She did not ask me any questions prior to the massage, which surprised me. When I told her that she is using too much pressure she did not understand what I said and continued. There was a language barrier. I showed her with my hands that this is too much so for a few minutes she changed but then went back to using too much pressure. She pressed my head so strongly that it hurt me for days afterwards. She also kept on moving me and asking me to hold her hands. I have had Thai massages in different places and I have never had one where the therapist wants you to hold her for so long and move you all over, it is not relaxing and it made me dizzy. I also had a gold bracelet on. I asked her if I should remove it and she said that it is fine but she ended up breaking it! The room was at the top level where there is a big door between rooms and no wall and you can hear everything next door. I scheduled an appointment right away with my coupon, but upon getting COVID, they refused to let me reschedule my appointment even. This customer service is not owned nor run by Thai people, as a fellow Thai, their service was awful. I WANT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I spoke with MILAN today regarding my appointment, and she was unbelievably rude over the phone. She actually yelled at me, saying she couldn't assist two people at the same time! I told her I understood her point, but that doesn't give her the right to keep putting me on hold for over two or three minutes every single time I call. All I wanted was to confirm my appointment for November 11, since the last time your team failed to send me an email confirmation and I had to call myself to check. I only stayed a customer because the Thai lady who helped me during my last appointment was incredibly kind, and that's why I decided to become a member afterward. I was greeted by a friendly face and the check-in process was quick and easy. Because it was my first time (but I can assure you it won't be my last time) I had to fill out a quick two page questionnaire. My therapist actually came out a few minutes before my scheduled appointment to greet me and take me back to the massage room. There is where I enjoyed hands down one of the best 60 minute hot stone massages I've ever had. The pressure was just right and those stones were hot! The guy, Poon, can't even call him a massuese, rubbed my back w his forearms for 45 min, I then looked at the time because my back was hurting and told him to move on and to give me 30 min for my feet. I was so sad when I left, although I felt obligated to leave him a tip because receptionist asked and I wanted to avoid confrontation. My 2nd visit to Origins will be my last. I went to Origins a few weeks ago for a deep tissue massage thinking I would get..well, a really strong massage digging DEEP into my pain points. Well, I was wrong, at least for the masseuse I got. I have a lot of knots around my shoulders, and every masseuse I've been to, including the cheap $60 ones back in NYC, would notice immediately and spend a good amount of trying to get the knots out. I can't remember the name of the person I got, I think it started with an L -- didn't even notice the very obvious knots. If she did, she decided to ignore it entirely. The massage started off like any other massage; very light pressure all over to get a feel for where the pain points are. Unfortunately, it ended the exact same way. I usually would've spoken up and asked to apply stronger pressure, but I sadly didn't even notice that the actual massage had started that I never got the chance to. I kept holding my tongue thinking she's going to start digging in, but nope. I was utterly confuse when she tapped me to tell me we were done. Sad part is, as she was walking out of the room, she commented "your muscles are really tight". Okay cool, so you DID notice, but you decided not to do anything about it? What a great use of my time and money. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here for a 3rd time. I'll be sticking to Malee for all future massages. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 is because the first time I went was for a Thai massage and that was pretty good. read more

I visited Origins Thai Spa for the first time last week for a massage and facial. I arrived a few minutes early to complete the intake forms and begin to relax. I was grateful for the parking they offer behind the building. I got a euro massage and while it wasn't the best massage (she didn't focus on the areas I asked her too) I was still relaxed at the end of it. I then received a facial. Coco was really nice but my facial was just so-so. She kept saying "your skin is great I don't see the imperfections you mentioned." That might explain why my pores were still clogged when I got home. My skin was brighter but I definitely think she could have done a better job. My girlfriend and I went here this past weekend for massages, and we are already talking about when we will be back. The front desk staff are very welcoming and poured us some hot tea while we filled out the information forms and waited for the appointment to begin. The appointment began promptly on time, and we were walked through each step of the massage. The attention to detail here is really impressive - for example, they use peppermint oil to scent the face pillows which you will notice when you lay down on the mats. The herbal oils smell great as well - and nothing was overwhelming or irritatingly strong, either. Nancy and Da were excellent therapists and very skilled in their craft.
