The pizza was okay. It had a decent taste, good texture, but I feel like they were being real greedy with toppings. The store had a nice ambience, but felt dirty/sticky. If the front is the store looks/feels like that, I wonder what the back of the store is like. What bothered me the most about my visit was the attitude of the staff. This place is the coldest indoor space in all of Navarre. Do not go after the beach or you will freeze. I went several times with the kids (we were all dry) and couldn't wait to leave. There were 6 people working the kitchen but only 2 on the floor and one was busy with the register so service was pretty slow and I felt like I was bothering them just asking for water. The garlic knots also seemed a little over baked, but again they tasted fresh and were good. I ordered carry-out but the inside of the restaurant looked clean and inviting. I ordered pizza to go on Sunday. They gave me a wait time of 30 minutes. I showed up a little before my quoted time and be placed was PACKED. When I went to the counter to pay/check in, there were about 10 other to go tickets with mine. Surprisingly, even with how busy they were, my two pizzas were ready for pick up. "You're out of luck pal!" We ordered a pepperoni pizza by phone... we would pick up. We were told "$13.99 plus tax... be ready in 15 minutes." Showed and was told our $13.99 pizza would be $19 and some change... I asked what happened to my $13.99 pizza? Cashier said well its $13.99 + $2.00 a topping. That of course would make it $15.99 at most. I said thats $4 extra not $2. Mgr showed up and asked what the problem was? I said I ordered a pepperoni pizza and I was told $13.99. Went in for a slice and beer to check it out. Similar great atmosphere as their last place where you can see into the kitchen. Wait staff was great and tentative. Same great pizza as before. We had the NYPD specialty pizza. We added red onions to it. It was very good. It is not the best pizza I have ever had but it was pretty damn good. The dough was the perfect texture and had a very good crispness and bubbling to it. The cheese was perfectly melty. My husband and I also split a slice of cheesecake which was creamy and not overly rich. If we come back down for a trip I will definitely try to stop by again. read more

We have ordered take out from this place once, but never dined in. We ordered the large Stuffed pizza, which was so fun! It's basically just a giant, pizza sized stromboli and you get to pick two toppings to go in it. We picked pepperoni and pineapple, which was a winning combination for us. It comes with a cup or two of sauce and is definitely filling. I can't speak much to the service since we didn't dine in, but this is a place I'd be willing to go back to. read more

The only reason why it does not get 5 stars is because they put too much cheese on the pizza. I know many people love cheese so I am sure it is fine for most. This is a story you'll want to read before eating here. My dad orders a large pizza with extra sauce which of course they charge for. So my dad is watching them make the pizza oddly enough the guy making the pizza says to the guy next to him "ohh I forgot I add extra sauce" that guy then says "ohh don't worry about it they won't know anyway". My dad is literally standing right their as they say this. My dad says yeah of course I'll know I'm standing right here. Clearly caught red handed I'm sure they felt pretty dumb. So if this is what the workers are acting like just for extra sauce what else is going on? Even if the food is decent would you really trust them with making your food. Say something falls on the floor " ohh who cares they won't know anyway" The pizza itself wasn't all that great either no one in the house seemed to like it very much as we threw the leftovers away. Who throws away leftover pizza? The prices feel a tad high. When it comes to pizza I am super picky since my family at one time had an authentic Italian pizza place. The NYPD had excellent Stromboli's! I will definitely go back for that. I love their stuffed pizza, but a regular pie is just as good! Their extra large is large enough to feed four super comfortably. The wait is normally a little longer than normal, but always worth it! Our family of 5 ate for around $50 and the food was super fresh and delicious. The service was warm and friendly. Our food came out quickly and the restaurant was clean and cozy.
