We just loved Stripes! Fun vibe and excellent food. And Malcolm our server was outstanding and accommodating. Shout out to Malcolm!

Salad was delicious but was seated and served by a morbidly obese woman with bad teeth, bad breath and poorly dressed. This repulsive parade float of a server figuratively ruined the lunch. When Milady suggested we dine at Stripes rather than Windjammers, I recall thinking "Hope that flouncing parade float is not there." Not a "fat-shamer" but this walking ad for GPT-1 is ridiculously extreme. read more

Over the last 6 months, everything (food wise) has taken a downward turn. Their drink prices were absurd. 18.00 for a double GT. Boneless wings were from Sysco. Breaded and frozen. The house salad was some Iceberg lettuce with a slice of tomato on top, with a pinch of shredded cheese. The dressing was Sysco. It was low quality food. We won't return. read more

We go on Wednesdays for trivia, usually with 2-3 other couples. It's old school trivia and such fun. Service is great, always pleasant and efficient. Great pub food; sandwiches and burgers at tasty and plentiful. I've found all the meals fresh, hot if it is supposed to be and cold if it is supposed to be. My daughter and I tried Stripes Pub and Grill. We both choose to make our burger. She had Mac-n-cheese as her side. I had seasoned fries for my side. We both noticed the mac-n-cheese was not seasoned. It was so plain, it did not taste that good. I had it on my burger instead of cheese. It was a big mistake. Our server was great. When we let her know about the Mac-N-Cheese, she was surprised. She said she would let the chef know. The Pub was surrounded by televisions. It makes for great viewing of sporting events, but not so much if one wants to have a meaningful conversation. read more

I've been here twice. The first time was mid afternoon and it was great. A late lunch. Food was good. It was quiet. We got typical bar food. No complaints. We love the military theme and love supporting our vets. Which kills me not to give them 5 stars. Then we came again. This time a Saturday night. The food was still great. However, they were having a party in their conjoined pool hall which is only separated by a barn door which was consistently being opened and closed. The music was so incredibly loud we couldn't have a good time. The service was just as bad. We had to ask for service and wave at the server just to order. He seemed more interested in hanging with the other staff and seeing what was happening in the pool room than tending to the tables. Had the server been attentive it would have made our experience so much better. It was such a disappointment. read more

Fortunately we came over early. Big crowd by the time we left. Our server, Zack, was great! Very attentive and assured we were satisfied at all times. My husband had a hotdog (huge) with chili. He's a hotdog fan and was very happy. I had a filet with mashed and fresh veggies. My only small complaint was that the veggies could have been hotter, or even just hot. Zack offered to take them back but they were tasty despite the temp so I kept them. Drinks were rather costly but we would definitely come back ! read more

Tried to get a table, but because I was a single they told me to go next door to their sister pub. They were correct that the pub was quieter, but after seating myself and patiently waiting for 10 minutes I got up and left. Not sure what the issue was, but if I ever returned and the host makes the same suggestion again I will have to decline! I was not in any hurry, but after watching what was going on I felt that the staff would probably not have gotten around to taking my order. It's been awhile since I visited and I'll probably return because I enjoy the food and the service in the past was excellent. I just hope the management sees this review and insures their staff is trained properly when this happens in the future. read more

We had french dip, boneless chicken wings and loaded fries, My french dip sandwich was very flat with overcooked tough meat that was difficult to chew with hardly any cheese on it. The au jus was very bland. The french fries were overcooked with no potato left just a shell with grease. The boneless wings tasted like they came straight from a freezer bag were nuked in the microwave and coated with hot sauce. The loaded fries were the worse. It was a very small plate of again overcooked greasy fries, with a little bit of ranch dressing, and cheese with lots of bacon on it. This was our first and last time here. The staff however were excellent. Everyone was very welcoming when we walked in the door and the waitress was nice and attentive. This was such a disappointment because we heard good things and the atmosphere looked like a cool place to be. read more

We stopped in when our friends came in town for some appetizers and a beer. I have to say they weren't the best. 2 in our group came for the "soft" pretzels. They appears to be deep fried and they were very well done to the point where it was burnt. We sent them back and they came back out the exact same way. The server agreed they didn't look right but we just took them the 2nd time and dealt with it. I ran out of my drink but couldn't find him. We finished and I had to get and find him to ask for our check. He acted like he didn't want to be there. While the food in this place is absolutely delicious, the over the top. Uber republican decor is a little offputting. The emphasis on the military can make some people uncomfortable. That said, the bloody Mary's are over the top, the food was all delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and our waitress was fantastic. But as a Democrat, I was offended by the decor. read more

While on vacation, I got hungry for a great steak. After doing some research I came across Stripes Pub & Grill. It looked interesting and was close to our condo so we tried it out. It was awesome! The ambiance was a mix of military and sports. We were greeted by a host and we immediately felt welcomed. Our server, Sandra, was super nice and attentive. I had a rib eye steak and it was probably one of the best steaks I have ever had in a restaurant. My partner had chicken Alfredo and he said it was awesome. The prices were comparable to other places we have been and seemed reasonable for the amount of food we had. If we lived here, we would eat here often. read more

We arrived about an hour before closing time, and were seated in the bar area at a high-top table. It wasn't our preference, but they said that was all they had available. Once we were seated it took a moment to get server, but he explained a computer problem was the delay. Once he got there he was tip top. After a day of playing tourist and our son showing us around his stomping grounds, we hit up his local spot for some adult libations, pool and food!! Initially we were just going to have a drink and relax a bit but ended up renting the pool table, which is by the hour, not per game; which was fabulous! We ordered the Rueben egg rolls and fried pickles... since we were enjoying ourselves so much, we ordered nachos a bit later and kept on playing. With it being a weeknight, it wasn't crazy busy, so we didn't feel like we were hoarding the table. The bartenders were super friendly, as were several of the patrons we chatted with here and there. Fun atmosphere and great service. My husband ordered the pork chop and it was amazing. I ordered the fish and chips and it was not what I like. I like a cod or halibut and a batter similar to beer batter. I honestly thought this was catfish. Not what I like or am used to at all. My husband brought me here for fish and chips and showed me the picture (he didn't look to see the one of the real battered fish and chips was from like 11 years ago haha). Or waiter was great and offered to get my something else when I asked if it was catfish. We would absolutely come back, just not for the fish and chips haha read more
